They forgot about us while we were waiting. I had a group of 5, and many other groups of 5, 6 or more were being called before us. The wait for food was a long time. The food is decent with kind of small portions. I got the Original Eggs Benedict with Hash Browns. It's not bad, but if you hungry get the full not the half size. I wasn't going to write a review for this place until I reconciled my personal financial records with what got posted to my bank. Nash's jipped me $0.47, and as an Accounting major, this is VERY UNETHICAL to just add whatever amount you want as your tip. No you do not deserve more, stick to the tip I wrote down. My check, Check Number 804539, had a total of 10.19 + 1.53(tip, 15% rougly), for a total of $11.72, but on my bank statement it says Nash's charged me $12.19... I am attaching pictures as evidence and will talk to my bank about fixing this on Monday. read more

I have been here before for breakfast it was good thought I would try dinner. Nope never again. My party was seated promptly, water and bread came fast but that is where the service went downhill. 20 minutes to place our order, 40 minutes to serve order and it wasn't busy. We order burgers, pasta, salad and fish and chips (don't please order, horrible)... I have always loved Nash's it's always been a friendly atmosphere. Usually the service is really fast. Today they The staff was off. Trying to get a coffee refill was hard. Staff kept walking by us and would not look at the tables. Thank goodness one of the girls offered to refill our coffee. They gave us an empty container of ketchup. Had to stop an employee to get a new one that had ketchup in it. Silverware was rolled up and sealed however there was food stuck all over the fork. And it looked as though somebody used it and then just stuck it inside of a napkin. Employees did not have a happy look on their face. Not sure what's going on there. But hopefully things will get better. I do recommend eating there. But again their staff was off. And service today was not great. read more

My first time at Nash's this morning. I was definitely not impressed, severely disappointed actually. First of all, It took the waitress 45 minutes to take our order, second of all, one of the orders wasn't even correct. And then they charged us two to five dollars each to use three different credit cards on top of the non-cash fee, in addition to the apparently mandatory 18% gratuity???So $40 bucks straight off the top and not even any food yet? The pancakes were flat and tough, not fluffy at all, I asked for crispy bacon, which I did not get, and the service was really terrible. We waited at least another 30 minutes for the waitress to come back after it was quite obvious, we were finished eating so we could pay this astronomical fee of $177.00 for breakfast (four child and 3 adult plates) . We had to catch a flight, so we had to go up to the counter ourselves. What am I paying 18% gratuity for?? When the waitress can't take our order within a reasonable amount of time, and then doesn't even come by to take our tab. It was pretty obvious we were that we're ready to go. I said several times that we were in a hurry. I'm glad we didn't get the endless mimosas, we clearly would still be sitting there waiting for our second refill. I won't be returning. read more

#chico2014 Stopped here with our GRAD the morning after graduation. The reviews were good but I noticed there wasn't very many pictures so what the heck?! I told the hubs "Let's go there and take some pic!" So we grabbed our GRAD and headed to Nash's. Very cute place from the outside with decent parking. I totally thought we'd have to park on the street and have a little wait to be seated since it was Sunday but I was wrong. I guess people were still in church or the Sunday Grad festivities. Lucky us! Very friendly and cute hostess greeted us as we walked in. There were several dinning areas and most tables were filled as we walked through each. Finally we were sat in the room off the bar. Nothing "fancy" but very cute and comfortable. Our server was very friendly and had way more energy than I had that morning. The menu has everything from eggs, omelets and benedicts to walfuls, pancakes and French toast. Here's what we ordered: French Toast w/side of hash browns: HUGE portion size. Potatoes were crispy and delicious. The French toast was flavorful, fluffy and light. 4 large slices with two little cups or warm syrup. Yum! Hubs got the classic 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and sourdough toast. Everything was good. (he's kinda boring when it comes to breakfast) I got the 1/2 order of classic benedict. YUM! Hollandaise was thick and creamy. My egg was perfectly cooked on top of a nice cute of ham on a soft English muffin bed. My dish came with home fries which were nothing special. They did top then with green onion but next time I'll get the hash browns. Overall I was very happy we gave this place a shot and will be back for sure. read more

We could not keep our cups of coffee warm or full...All the waitress bots were obviously very busy. If you like a fresh moist oatmeal...Don't go here. Our experience wasn't quite as good as good as we hoped it would be. Food seemed a little overpriced and was about a 50 minute wait from the time we placed our order. The restaurant was slightly busy, but the staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed. I felt bad enough that I didn't mention to our server that my prime rib was served barely above room temperature. Everything else on my plate was hot, but not the meat. Very disappointing considering it was around $48. I was hungry and had already waited too long so I never mentioned it. My best friend recently had a small wedding/reception at Nash's and it was the most amazing experience EVER. I worked with Amy our event coordinator and she knocked it out of the park. The decorations were amazing, our servers Lacy and Tasha were amazing, the food was fabulous. Desserts were delicious! The back patio was blocked off so we had privacy from other restaurant guests. I have been to Nash twice for dinner and both time I was disappointed in their food quality and service. I would not have gone back if it was not for a banquet. My most current visit was on April 17th for a banquet. We had preset menu which made serving easier but it was a huge disappointment. I had pre-order the prime rib (6oz) dinner. Typically you tell how you want that prime rib's doneness. This was not an option - server said that there will be some pink. When the meal came out, the roasted red potatoes was so dry it looked like it was roasting under a heat lamp for hours, the prime rib was a shade of grey and lacking seasoning, the asparagus was the only edible item on the plate. Besides the lovely shade of grey meat, it was also cold and dry. The server tried to remedy the situation by providing a replacement slice but that slice had a minor hint of pink; it too lacked seasoning and was cold. Oh, yes... I had an ice tea that some how was never refilled. Spending $95 for a prime rib dinner, chicken parmesan and an ice tea may not be expensive but it's horrible when the food is not edible. Save your money and time, don't go to Nash's for dinner. read more

I do not recommend the coconut prawns. For $16.95 I literally received 7 VERY small "prawns" that were dry, overcooked, and if there was coconut on them, it was minimal. I have never seen coconut prawns look like what I was served. Very disappointing. read more

This is my mom's favorite place. I took my friends there yesterday for breakfast and it was wonderful. Everyone loved their food, and we even tried a few of their boozy drinks (I tried Nash's Irish Coffee and it was so good). Everything is priced fairly, staff is good. We sat outdoors on a patio that could be nice. It was not. The first impression of my seat (and my partners) was a stained dirty cushion. Honestly, we were not sure we wanted to sit on them but the patio was full. Our table was located by an unused bar which was covered in dirt, bugs and debris. Flies everywhere and the last straw was being given a filthy plate. Or maybe it was the 3.75% additional charge for using your debit card. Nah...it was the filth. Don't go at least not now. I like Nash's a lot. I come here probably once a month or two and they are very consistent. Their food is good. I always get the veggie burrito and coupled with their verde salsa it's a very satisfying breakfast. Their hash browns are cooked well, and they also offer zucchini shreds as a side which I never get but appreciate the uniqueness of. I've also had their eggs benny and love that they do half orders. Their service is usually good as well. The last time I came, it took about 15 minutes for a waitress to even come to us, which is a long time especially when you're hungry and had a long wait outside beforehand. We did have the "drinks girl" (as she called herself) serve us but she wouldn't take our food order since she's not the waitress so we just sat there ready to order for a good while. The drinks girl took my order and then never brought the champagne brunch for myself when she brought it to the other people at my table, but it was super busy and she quickly went over and fixed the mix up. If you're coming to Nash's on a Saturday or Sunday, be prepared to wait. No questions asked. But it's worth the wait and it usually goes by pretty quickly. read more

Food was good and it was my second time visiting after my first lunch visit. I went with a family of 6 and the menu clearly stated as well as on the building that parties of 8 or more would be charged gratuity (that's understandable). We ordered and I got the bill, and it was $197.00. I started to add the tip to the table which was $20 when the server returned with the receipt stating the gratuity had been paid at $29.00. Basically they took the gratuity without our knowledge, and we did not have a party of 8. Not to mention a tip is based on service and not the fact that we bought food. Our service was not worth $29.00. We paid and did not mention the theft which it what it was especially going against their own written promise on the menus. I will also have to mention that I had to flag the waitress down twice and it took over 15 minutes to get to go containers. The only reason I gave them 3 stars is their calamari was one of the best I've had, and the food is good. IDK if its relevant but I am a minority, and this did not seem to happen to any other parties at this establishment. read more

I am very disappointed with the customer service at Nash's. I made a reservation to celebrate my friend's birthday on a Friday night, I love the decor and I thought it would be a good place to spend some time together. As we arrived, I asked if it was posible to add an extra table since two more people were joining our group of 10, one waitress said yes but our waitress said it would be inconvenient for them to reach the silver ware station. It is important to mention the room was 80% empty, it would have been manejable to reach even with an extra table. She suggested we squeezed instead. (We did in order to not ruin the night) We did not get menus until 20 minutes after we arrived. After we ordered.. I had to order bread for the table because they did not bring it out. It was not enough, I had to remind them two more times before they did. We got our food, it was okay. We also had to remind our waiter every time we wanted a refill. By the time we got our food it was cold. We also had to remind them about extra sauce and condiments more than once before they brought it out. Near the end they brought out the cake (that I purchased elsewhere) and some extra (dirty with a red sauce spill) plates. Aside from the plates they never offered extra silverware, nor did they come back to our table in order for us to request them, we had to reach for them at the silverware stand. We wanted to order coffee and milk but not one waitress passed by. At the end of our dinner they brought the check with an 18% gratuity charge written with pen. Even on the restaurant copy they wrote in the tip and total. I understand some restaurants have an extra charge for large groups, the reason being that groups require extra attention therefore a busboy is unable to help other tables. I don't Mind paying for this extra charge and more when I am treated correctly (I was a waitress for 6 years, I know the struggle) but today I find myself disappointed. I truly hope they make a change in their customer service, it would be unfortunate that such a pretty establishment loses business because of crappy service. The food was only okay. read more

I've only come to Nash's during their brunch menu, because it's my favorite spot! Nothing here disappoints. They also have bottomless champagne on weekends for $6/person. My favorite thing to get is the carnitas eggs Benedict, but this weekend I actually tried the chilaquiles and I think I have a new favorite! Everything is pretty tasty and affordable. We got 3 entrees and a breakfast shot for under $65! They also give discounts if you pay your tab in cash! Super sweet servers. My favorite breakfast spot in Chico, definitely one of the only food places I'll miss here when I graduate. read more

Your credit card service fee . We are trying to help businesses build back ... not feel ripped off . Who suffers is your servers who won't get a good tip because fees are so much . Then they quit and go else where where tops are better ., And you lose customers and staff. Just saying .., We had a table of 6 . Debated between you and pour house . Went there , but the service fee and just ok food will keep us from going back . We want to suppose local businesses. Your patrons are going through it too .
