We are experienced travelers, with a history of wonderful meals in New Orleans, Chicago, and other cities. This experience will definitely be included in our future history. ATMOSPHERE - elegant and romantic, with seating areas nicely divided SERVICE - Virginia and the friendly wine hostess were attentive and provided excellent descriptions of the menu items MENU & Presentation - again 5 star. They split our salad for us in the kitchen, yet still gave every attention to its attractive appearance. Their specialty of Chilean Sea Bass in parchment was delicious. This was my favorite restaurant in Macon. I haven't actually been to the restaurant in years, but for a few years I was in Macon all the time and this was a regular stop. I enjoyed Macon but there were times that I wanted a break from the usual. I wasn't sure how to say this, but I'm going to try. As much as I enjoyed Macon (and I really liked it a lot), Natalia's made me feel like I was somewhere else. I was happy enough being in Macon, but Natalia's had an atmosphere that made me think that I had gone away somewhere. And the quality and taste of the food? Natalia's always came through for me. After being stuck in the Perry/Hawkinsville area for the week with not a big choice of good restaurants, I had to venture out. Saw Natalia's review on yelp and headed on up. I sat in the bar area and the friendliest bartender, Daniel, helped me out. I got the mushroom ravioli for an app, and I had to stop myself from licking the plate clean. Daniel brought me out a complimentary pear salad with a white balsamic vinegar. Also scrumptious. For the entree I got the beef tournedos which were a bit more chewy than expected, but delicious non the less. How people can rate this gem in Macon less than 5 stars is beyond me. I can count memorable meals I have had in my lifetime on one hand....I will now need to go to the other hand! The service was perfect, the food, out of this world spectacular and the rooms in the restaurant all unique and romantic. The wine list was extensive and they only carry fine wine so don't expect to find too many selections under $40 a bottle. Overall, for a perfect dinner and night out, there is no better in Macon and as Italian goes, as good as any you will find. The boyfriend and I went here on our anniversary. It was nice, even though our table was inconveniently places in a busy corner. The scallops were amazing. My sea bass was a tad dry but had a great sauce. The waitress was helpful, but during my main course, I drank my entire glass of water. My water glass then remained empty through the rest of my meal and dessert. I was waiting to see if it would be filled, but it was not. I had to resort to drinking my boyfriend's water. If you're looking for a nice place for dinner in Macon then look no further. I don't spend enough time in Macon to know where all the best places are, but Natalia's has to be at the top of the list. The food is awesome. I was really surprised by the octopus appetizer which was tender and tasty and not tough at all. The service was good. I think they could be a bit more knowledgeable about their menu. I was not impressed by the crème brulee. It was a bit thin and I prefer...not...thin. I would recommend this place. This establishment is a shining gem in an otherwise desloate wasteland. The service was easily the best I've had in a five state radius. I would rate the food as on par with world class establishments such as The Penrose Room in Colorado Springs, CO or The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, TX. The prime rib my wife ordered was enormous and the best either of us had ever eaten. It put McGuires Irish Pub in Destin, FL to shame. Every year we drive from Florida through Macon and stay at the 1842 Inn. It has been some time since returning to Natalia's. She is still a ways from town. Very nice,large restaurant next to a Homewood Suites. Very upscale and classy. Probably a special occasion destination. The menu is insignificant and not large but the recited options is really the menu. They offer a nice selection of salads, appetizers, sea food and meat. Would suggest one ask the prices because they are not volunteered. Some are pricy. We each ordered half portion of pasta. Very large. One could have a salad and half portion of pasta and that would be more than adequate. Don't understand the wine list. Offerings and prices seemed very high given the menu. Saw very few bottles on tables. Seems they may have a philosophy of trying to maximize their margins on each bottle rather than making their wine prices more attractive to maximize their wine dollars. I often eat here for work and usually enjoy it. I happened to be traveling through Macon with my family and wanted to celebrate a special occasion with my children who are 10,9,and 5. When I made our reservation and mentioned that my children would be joining us the woman on the phone asked how old my children were and then asked me if they could be quite and still. Even after assuring her that my children were extremely well behaved and mentioning that I was familiar with the restaurant and felt comfortable that my children could act appropriately she still tried to discourage us from having dinner there with our children. We went for our anniversary dinner and loved it. Food is great and they always have specials. Atmosphere is intimate and cozy with an upscale feel. Drinks (cocktails) are good too, after dinner we went to the bar for a couple more drinks and the bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. They had spirits that other upscale cocktails restaurants in Macon don't have. Be ready to dish out some cash for your meal but it is worth it. What makes this four stars rather than five for me: 1)The food is overrated and overpriced, so I prefer going for light fare. 2) I ordered the lemon risotto and was surprised at how much salt it had. Went here with my wife as a graduation/welcome to Macon gift from my practice. We had no clue what to get and usually steered clear of higher end food/dining as we've had a lot more misses than hits in the past. The server gave detailed descriptions of practically every dish and we ordered per his suggestions (sometimes risky and usually pricey, but we had a gift card to burn through) and were blown away by the quality of the food here. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in town! I'm always sure to bring visitors from out of town to Natalia's because they never disappoint!
