    Bbq fries

$4.99? Where is the sauce?? This item is not worth it. This is pitiful! If I was feeling better I'd walk the two blocks and give this back. If you're going to charge for bbq sauce, the LEAST you can do is cover the fries with the sauce. I'm so glad I didn't pay extra for cheese and receive it close to cold. The char polish is regular size, not footling for $9 plus. Do yourself a favor and save your money. There are many more places that offer this same meal WITH fries for far less money delivered from Uber Eats in the Hyde Park area.

Jerk Alfredo Pasta with chicken comes with garlic bread and salad. A little bland but overall good. Throw a little of your favorite seasoning on it or some hot sauce it'll be fine lol

I have to admit, I'm a fan of all things consistent. I'm also a fan of things that know what they are and don't try to be more than that. This Nathan's, for example, isn't high end cuisine. It's casual dining to its core. I have not tried to eat the Jamaican cuisine, I stick to the grilled chicken pita sandwich with tomato, lettuce and onions, along with ranch dressing and fries. It won't win any awards for design, but when you need food and are in the area but don't want something heavy...I frequent this spot. People I know have had other of the American-ized dishes and have not complained.

Great Place for a quick bite in Hydy Park. The place has a variety of food on its menu. Nathan's has been in business over 25 years and still going strong. Try the Grilled Chicken over Spanish Rice, see pics.

Ordered chili cheese dog. Almost 5 bucks. Flavor wasn't bad. But came with like 3 beans. And not enough cheese... I'm used to getting it in styrofoam where there's chilli on it and u get an actual meal. Not impressed. And for this was over priced.

Solid but wouldn't get it again.

This place doesn't have a mission statement. Foods range from jerk chicken, burgers, hot dogs, gyros, etc. I only came here because I saw Jamaican on the front of their store. If ur gonna sell us on that then it must be damn good jerk chicken. I don't recommend it tho. I'd try something different on the menu but doesn't seem like a lot of people go here. I'd recommend them having a specialty. Something about quality or something. I don't even want to know where this chicken came from. NEXT!!!

Chicago dogs are fresh & delicious, but they need to start using poppy seed buns! Then it's officially a Chicago dog.

I think our favorite was the catfish! If you go be sure to try Ernie's fingers. So so good. But the Jambalaya, Vegetarian Rice w/Jack Fruit, Fried Chicken, Roasted Carrots, Yeast Rolls, Pea Flower Tea Lemonade and all the other stuff was simply wonderful. Chloe, who is the proprietor, Did a great job of helping us out. We had some great conversation with her and everyone just loved the food. We definitely plan to go back!

I really wanted to like Dixie Pura based on all the great reviews, but unfortunately, my experience…read moredidn't live up to the hype. I'm actually writing this review while standing outside waiting for my Uber. We ordered the Ernie's Fingers, Southern Curry Chicken, and Pimento Mac & Cheese. Let's start with tha ambience. The decor is inviting but it is VERY small inside. On to the food. The Ernie's Fingers were especially disappointing. For $15, I expected much more. They were essentially egg rolls filled with collard greens and cornbread--no meat at all. While the concept sounded interesting, it didn't justify the price tag. The biggest disappointment, however, was the food quality compared to the cost. The Southern Curry Chicken was dry and overcooked and really needed some type of sauce. The rice was simply plain white rice--nothing memorable and certainly not what I'd expect for a dish that costs around $40 - chicken and rice, literally. The pimento mac & cheese was also much saltier than I prefer. What made the experience even more disappointing was how we were treated. By the end of our 90-minute dining window, we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. It felt as though we were being rushed out of the restaurant, which left a bad impression and took away from what should have been an enjoyable meal. To add to that, the automatic 20% gratuity was also a letdown. I have no problem tipping for great service, but considering the overall experience--from the food quality to feeling rushed out the door--it didn't feel deserved. Maybe I visited on an off day because so many others have had great experiences. I can only speak to my visit, and unfortunately, between the overpriced food, disappointing flavors, feeling like an inconvenience at the end of our meal, and the automatic gratuity, it simply wasn't worth the cost for me.
