Recently went to Nathan's on a weekend for the first time ever after living in New York City my whole life. I ordered two hot dogs, fries and lemonade. The order was processed fairly quickly although I ended up having to in do so with the cashier instead of the machine as there was an issue with the machine. Overall, the hot dogs and fries were tasty and the lemonade was big and thirst quenching. I would recommend checking it out once but it definitely feels like a touristy experience.

The Corn Dog Nuggets would have been so good with the honey mustard. I had the image in my mind when I saw it on the menu: the iconic Nathan's hot dog flavor wrapped in fluffy golden. In reality, the outside of the corn dogs were crispy, over-baked shells. They tasted like something you could heat up at home from the frozen food aisle of a grocery store. On the boardwalk, there wasn't any seating, but this was the perfect spot for a snack. The service was pretty quick on a gloomy weekend day.

Convenient boardwalk location. Friendly and efficient employees. Not many vegetarian options, but I got the Mac and cheese bites with Nashville hot ranch. Very good. Casual beach feel to it. They also serve Auntie Anne's pretzels and drinks.

The famous Nathan's hot dog is great. We had a lovely day at Coney Island boardwalk and stopped by to eat at Nathan's. The order is easy: they have hot dogs, burgers, and seafood. The price is high. A hot dog starts at $6 for a plain one and goes up from there. But the hot dog is a decent size and tasty. The fries were good too. I definitely recommend this place if you are near Coney Island. We went there specially for this and we were not disappointed. Service was good. It's located next to the beach, making it a nice addition to visiting the beach in NYC, which is rather unique to us since we go to the Jersey Shore most of the time. This location is newer than the original place, which is also a walk away from the boardwalk.

We visited Coney Island on Jun 26, 2025 and had lunch from Nathan's Famous on the recommendation of our tour guide. He insisted we try their hot dogs. At the Riegelmann Boardwalk location, We ordered two original dogs, a chili dog, a bag of large fries and drinks. Total bill was $42.39; the original dog and large fries were $5.99 each, the chilli dog was $6.99, and a regular-size drink was $4.99. (You can get three hamburgers at McDonalds;s for the price of a regular drink at Nathan's Famous.) As we ate, I wondered what the big deal was about Nathan's Famous. "Hot dog is hot dog," I kept thinking. This was no exception. Wife said that hers tasted like her own homemade ones. Mine tasted no different from the ones I got every month at my home church. They tasted good but nothing that was truly outstanding. The fries were the same. Thankfully, I had a heavy breakfast so didn't have to order much for lunch. Wait line to order was long (at least 10 minutes). Table seating was very limited at Riegelmann Boardwalk, but we found a bench towards the beach to sit and eat. I cannot comment on the parking since we came here by train. I expect it to be difficult and expensive since this is New York City. Unlike our tour guide, I'm not going to recommend for or against Nathan's Famous. You are welcome to try, but don't be surprised if they don't measure up.

When in Coney Island you must stop at Nathans right?! I loved that it is literally right on the boardwalk. We stopped for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was a decent line for it being 2pm but it moved fast. We ordered a hot dog, fries and chicken wings. I was NOT a fan of their chicken wings but the fries were really good and different. They were thick. There are several picnic tables next to Nathans that you can eat at and people watch. Not sure I will eat here again but Im glad I experienced it.

While visiting Coney Island, we decided to grab lunch at the famous Nathan's Famous. I had high expectations, but the experience was disappointing. The line was super long--we waited about 30 minutes. When you wait that long, you expect the food to be worth it, but it felt overrated. We ordered a classic hot dog and chili cheese fries. The hot dog lacked flavor, and the portions were small. I never thought fries could be bad, but the chili tasted burnt or overcooked. There were chairs and tables available, but it wasn't clear if they were part of the restaurant or just general Coney Island seating--either way, it was nice to have a place to sit. The outlet itself is huge with multiple counters, yet the lines were still long, which was frustrating. On the plus side, the staff was quick once the order was placed--we got our food in about 5 minutes. And the large cold drink was truly large, probably the most satisfying part of the visit.

Ordered jalapeño hot dog and was surprised to see the jalapeño was raw not cooked. The hot dog is just OK. Serives was slow although there were too many people on a Monday afternoon.

You must checkout this iconic Coney Island destination! There was a long line that went decently quick but given the menu was so large I was happy to have more time to look at what I wanted. The food was served hot and fresh and the root beer float was also delicious!

Growing up in Brooklyn, Nathan's has always been iconic. It's a must-have when visiting Coney Island. I ate frog legs for the first time from Nathan's and have been loving them ever since. Hot dogs aren't the healthiest of food choices, but having one every once in a while won't kill you. I was in the neighborhood and just had to have one... So yummy!! Ig:@thefunfluencer

I will say the pricing is incredibly fair for NYC and in tourist trap. I found extremely affordable. The line was a sh*tshow (excuse my French). They had a self service line which was moving pretty fast. Here is the thing, on a sunny day the screens are impossible to see. The wait time was unbearable - waited like 15 mins for my order. Most of the seating were a mess so had to find a bench. The food itself was really good. Nostalgic, all the feels, made me feel like I was transported to an amusement park far from NYC. The food is good its all the factors that come in the way of actual eating that warrants the rating.

It's an all American place, but the food is kind of horrible- so greasy & just bad. But I get it- it's a tourist trap- what can you do? Coney Island really lacks food options At least it's signage is iconic!!

Both satisfied the hot dog craving I had. There are also tater tots and burgers available. The bread was a bit stale, hence the 3 stars and the bun split on my New Yorker making it messy to eat. The woman behind the counter was friendly and suggested I try the dog featured this month- featuring a fried pickle or the Tsunami which has teriyaki sauce and pineapples. I would stop here again if in the area, but for basic dog a cart will hit the spot.

My only wish is that there was actual seating (it's more of a grab-and-go spot) & the wall being wide open made it feel a bit drafty. Still, the food is worth it.
