It was time to replace it with something sturdier and less likely to warp, shrink, fade. I did a lot of research on what materilas would best hold up to the brutal So Cal summers we have. I also had to keep within the Architectural guidelines of our HOA for fences. I found a company in Orange, CA, called SoCal Gates. I established contact with the owner, Ray, who is a really knowledgeable and personable guy to work with. We scheduled an appointment for him to come to our home to show us color samples of the composite material we would choose for him to use in our steel framed gate. Ray arrived, and had us look at the different colored composite samples while he took his measurements. He then went over with us the color choices and which ones would intergrate best with our home's exterior colors, including the tiled roof and front entry door and garage door. He explained how he visualized the gate would look, once mounted. We agreed on the materials and and the price. He mentioned that his installation pricing included the removal of the gate from the cinder block wall it was attached to, but did not include the removal of the old fence post or the haul away fo the old fence. After hiring another fence company to remove the fence post, back fill with concrete and haul away all of the old fence, Ray told he would've done it had I specifically asked him, for an extra charge. In fact, he told me how to remove the old post myself, so that gave me the impression he would prefer to just to install the gate with the old fence gone and the area prepped for his installation. After the HOA approved my gate plan, It only took a few weeks for Ray to build our gate and to schedule a date and time for the installation. On the day of the installation, I watched Ray assemble and install my agte, He is meticulous and thoughtful throughout his installation process. He showed me how to change out the composite planks if I ever needed to, and how to program our electronic lockest. We are very happy with out new sturdy, side gate. I would recommend anyone needing a new steel framed gate with composite planking to contact Ray.

From the moment Denys heard the garbage attempt to open then quickly close, he knew what the problem was! He was able to manually open the door from the outside and confirmed that it was indeed the coils and tension wires. He gave me options of replacement materials - from low cost to more expensive - and allowed me to determine my price. He even showed me his price table. No hidden fees, no upsell, just full transparency! Easy! After I made my choice, he began the work which had challenges since I had something blocking the access to the coils. He found a workaround and the work began while I went into my home office for meetings. He worked to resolve the issue in less than an hour. He even threw the old parts away for me. Now that's service! Easy! All in all, this company is top notch! Very honest and trustworthy and you know he stands behind his company's work! My garage door issue was resolved in less than a day. What made me choose this company is that the job is bid directly by the owner, Dick Pierce, and he really knows what he is talking about. The big company just sends out sales reps who just bid the jobs.Tthe sales rep did not notice the same details that Dick noticed when we talked about the job. This company will go the extra mile to make the job turn out the best way possible. For example, the big company was going to just put the wall next to a footer from a previous wall. This company showed me how much of the property I would have lost and did a lot of extra work to drill rebar into that remaining footing so I would not lose so much of my property. All the guys who do the job who have been with the owner for a really long time. They really know what they are doing and they take the time to get it done right. And when they are done, there will be no signs of them ever having been there (other than the new fence!). They leave your property absolutely immaculate without any messes left behind anywhere. Everyday they clean up after themselves and do a final super clean on the last day. They also put up a new railing on my front porch that looks very nice as well and was put in with attention to detail and high quality work. I highly recommend this company. They will treat your house as well as they would treat their own homes. Okay, so maybe a little hyperbolic but these guys made a commitment and followed through in a way I have not encountered before. I had a bear who had found its way to my koi pond after the fires last year. Whether it was curiosity or hunger, he was terrorizing my koi, destoying the landscaping and had sliced up one of the fish in his daily visits. Using photographs and phone conversations, Rolando was able to get a reasonable quote together and schedule the installation immediately. The net itself was a taut masterpiece--far better looking than I had anticipated. The bear attempted it only once--the night it was partially installed--and never tried again. The net was so carefully measured and tight that I was unable to remove and replace it myself for pond maintenance. Instead of telling me, you bought, now deal with it, Rolando and Salvador, who did the installation, promised me they would find a solution so that I could effectively use the net with my arthritic hands and still have a net that did what it was installed to do. Even when the intervention of massive rains made a hasty return impossible, they did not forget their promise or blow it off. Salvador insisted on coming back several weeks later with the perfect solution to my dilemma. The price was reasonable and transparent, the work was superlative. And...they were actually fun to work with. How often can you say that?

I chose this company because of their great Yelp reviews. Even though their price was higher and I…read morehad to wait a month for the installation, the vinyl fence looks good and they even threw in a small back section for free. I appreciate the quality of the actual build. However, the process to get the finishing details completed was a bit frustrating. During the tear-out, they cut back my existing fencing and left a gap in the perimeter. They also drilled some unnecessary holes into my home's stucco when installing the gate and left them unpatched. When I contacted management about these issues, they initially tried to upsell me a $700 repair. They eventually offered to come out and fix the gap as a courtesy, but due to some scheduling disorganization, workers showed up unexpectedly twice without completing the work. Fortunately, they returned today and fully resolved everything by filling the gap and sealing the stucco holes. They do nice work on the fence itself, and while their communication and scheduling could use some improvement, I appreciate that they ultimately followed through and made things right.
