I ordered the Patty Melt and changed it up a bit. It was exactly the way I wanted it!!!! The fries were crispy still and I also ordered the Lemon Meringue pie. OMG delicious !!!! I have probably been going to this place for more than a decade, never once have they gotten my order wrong. It's very clear that their food has love put into it because it is DELICIOUS!!! The fries are phenomenal and the burgers, are in fact, giant. Went to this place last night after going to the fair with my friends, and man, the food is just perfect. We were there for maybe 7 minutes and we had our food ready to go. Not to mention, every thanksgiving we order a couple of pies for the family, and everyone is satisfied!! This particular location has improved a lot over the years. The decor is much more sleek, there is better seating, etc. If you're ever craving a good burger (and especially fries) but don't want cheap fast food, this is the place to go. The Pleasanton location is always our favorite in the area. For whatever reason, our family universally believes food just tastes better here. This location, however, is much smaller than others we have visited. There are just less than a handful of tables to dine in. It is always more convenient for us to place our order online, and have it ready for us to either take it home or actually eat it in the restaurant. They do a really nice job in packing the food to go in nice-sized sandwich boxes. The hamburgers are always excellent, however, everything else from chicken and fish are underwhelming. Prices in general are on the higher side for the fast food type establishment, however, with their in-app deals, it can definitely be worth it given the higher quality taste then other traditional fast food restaurants. All in all, Nation's Giant Hamburgers will always be one on our list for a solid quick meal. read more

Whereas can you go for a good burger? It's Nation's where breakfast, burger and pies can be had. Today I had the Giant hamburger, fries and fountain drink. The burger had all its fixing three slices of tomatoes, lettuce and nice slice of onion with a splattering of mayo. On the side I added honey mustard and bbq sauce. The burger was so tall I couldn't fit a bite in my mouth. It was a good messy too. There's something about tomato, lettuce and onion that other burger places don't add or offer that makes a burger, a real burger. The fries were crispy and dipped in bbq sauce, eating couldn't get much better. Nation's burger is consistently made by each franchise. Where ever go, stop Nation's for their burger, breakfast or pie. read more

It took me a little bit longer to get ready than I expected this morning. Skipped breakfast before I left the house. Met up with my crew in Dublin and we discussed where to grab a bite to eat before we headed to Oakland for an assignment. We decided on Nation's because they serve real breakfasts to go. We arrived. There were two tables being used. Apparently, they had some Door Dash orders because we watched several orders being packaged before ours came up. I hadn't had a Nation's Breakfast for at least 20 years. My last experience was less than stellar at the Nation's in Berkeley. The breakfast I had today was the Three Egger. It was served in a paper box with Three Eggs (Over Easy, one was broken), a ridiculous number of Sausage Links and Three Slices of French Toast. If you look at their menu, the One Egger is one egg, choice of 2 thick Bacon slices, Sausage links, Ham, Hamburger or Linguica. Two Egger is two eggs and two portions of Protein while the Three is three eggs and three portions of Protein. No where did I see how many sausages were in a single portion. I got the French Toast instead of Hash Browns and regular Toast. The three eggs went down pretty easy. The sausages kept rolling out from under the French Toast and I did not count them, but it was quite a large order. The French Toast took the breakfast over the top and I simply could not finish it. Quite honestly, the French Toast was not eggy enough for me. I think that my wife spoils me. If I were to do it over again, I'd stick with the Hash Browns and Regular Toast and maybe a Two Egger. This was a tremendous number of calories, but I made up for it by skipping lunch. The server was Maria T according to my receipt. She was pleasant and efficient. She and the cook appeared to be the only two employees working and work, they did. Both were in constant motion and Maria helped prepare the orders when she wasn't waiting on guests. In a perfect world, they could have used one more person as a floater to help get the orders out quicker. I know that every breakfast is cooked to order but somehow, I expected quicker service. The issue wasn't that the staff was slow but how many orders they had in the queue before I placed my order. It wasn't obvious because the restaurant was practically empty. One of my co-workers got a Breakfast Sandwich. It must have been okay because he ate it without comment. Honestly, I am not likely to return anytime soon. Breakfast on the run, unfortunately, should be on the run, not on the wait and then run. read more

I walked into the place on a late Saturday evening it was about 11:45 in the evening. There was several tables with people at them eating and the young lady behind the counter cooking and a man taking care of a man who was collecting an order. The place was bright and clean. I was acknowledged right away. I put in my order and the man said it would take about ten minutes. I said OK sat down and did a quick check of my messages. Before I could really get to them, the order was done - surprised at how fast it came. I asked for it to go - and went back to my car - and ate my food - it was hot and very delicious. The workers were polite, attentive and nice. The food was awesome - excellent all the way around. This location is not stand alone but at the south end of a building with multiple businesses. The lighting and signing isn't much sat looking for two minutes debating whether it was open or not. We recognized the cashier with his friendly, warm smile from our last visit in December. The whole staff was friendly. My cheeseburger was huge and stacked high with crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and too many onions that I removed. Simple and delicious.
