    LEMON MERINGUE PIE (WHOLE)
    Jill B.

Nation's pies are the best! My favorite of all time is their lemon meringue. The meringue is so fluffy and delicious! It's so fluffy that it doesn't quite fit in the box without the top getting smushed a bit, but that's okay because fluffy is best for meringue. My husband likes the banana cream so we usually get both when we are in town. The food is good too, fries are always hot and my kids like the grilled cheese. They are usually busy so the service is fine, you order at the counter and pick up your food when they call you. We mostly come for the pies, try the lemon meringue if you like lemon! It's the best! PS if you're here during strawberry tart season, definitely get one (or more). They are also amazing. (I believe it's around May-June.)

Stopped in for a snack of french fries and a slice of banana cream pie for home. Always a great place if you are craving for breakfast, a good burger, a slice of pie, OR looking for whole pies!

If you grew up in the Bay Area, Nations is a staple burger joint and classic breakfast place. I recently saw they have breakfast burritos. I decided to them a try. I was pleasantly surprised and the portion was really good that I had to take a later lunch.

I love burgers, and Nation's is my favorite burger out of any place. Their burger is always consistent. if you haven't been to Nation's, they pack burgers with lots of veggies. When you get your burger, you will have 5+ layers of iceberg lettuce, a few slices of tomatoes, and a whole slice of onion. So I always ask for light tomato and sub the onion for grilled onions. Also, they don't put any condiments on your burger except Miracle Whip. If you don't like Miracle Whip, try their burger because it might change your opinion. If you're vegetarian, try their Harvester burger. I'm not a vegetarian and I think it's excellent. I believe the patty the use is from Dr Praegers. Their fries is not bad either and I like to order them extra crispy. If you like pies, their banana cream pie is a must-try!

Most employees here are friendly and courteous. Each time server Krissia G is working the register she's unfriendly doesn't greet she didn't not share my total amount. She walked away and prepares the 2 half pies. I don't feel welcome when she at the register. Management should view videotape when she's at register

I went in at 9p. Placed my order over the phone. It wasnt very busy at all. I should have checked my order but I trusted they knew what they were doing, especially since it wasnt busy. Its clear that I ordered a cheese burger and there is no cheese anywhere on this burger. Tomorrow I will return and ask to speak to management. Thoroughly disappointing

    GRILLED CHEESE

Can I just say that Nation's has my favorite version of grilled cheese as of yet! It nice and cheesy, full of veggies and the breads perfectly toasted. They do put tons of mayo on it though so be sure to ask for lite mayo if you don't like a bunch. I also got a Vanilla shake but it was kind of watery. I put it in the freezer and then after a few hrs it was pretty good. I did have it delivered though so that may have contributed to that factor.

Moving on to service, the workers there do a great job attending costumers despite it being over flooded by so many people quite often. Overall, it's been a good experience every time. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day. Most of the parking is on the street, so you'll need to keep an eye out for pedestrians and bicyclists while looking for a spot. That's probably the biggest inconvenience of visiting this place. There is usually a 15 to 20-minute wait whenever we come for dessert, but we've always been seated within the quoted wait time, which we appreciate. The restaurant itself is fairly small, so the dining area can feel crowded. Tables are very close together, and you're practically sitting back-to-back with other guests. Because of this, the noise level can get pretty high, and it's easy to overhear conversations from nearby tables. The desserts are the highlight here. The BingSu is excellent, and the lava cake is one of our favorites. The menu is accessed through a QR code, making ordering simple and convenient. Food portions are decent, although prices are definitely on the premium side. Service is efficient, and the food and desserts usually arrive pretty quickly. We used to go to their city location regularly, but over the years we've found ourselves visiting this location more often because the area feels more comfortable and convenient for us. That has made this our go-to spot whenever we're craving dessert. Overall, this is a great place for dessert. The quality of the desserts keeps us coming back, but the difficult parking situation and cramped seating prevent it from being a full 5-star experience. Would definitely return for the BingSu and lava cake.

It gives off such a welcoming, community-centered vibe -- like they genuinely want people to come in, enjoy good food and drinks, hang out, relax, and just have a good time. I was indecisive while ordering because there's just too many goodies to choose from and IK that can be annoying, but we had great service because the guy that took our order was patient and seen that my struggles was most definitely real . We ordered mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, curly fries, and two large Thai teas -- one with green apple jelly topping, which paired sooo well to me hehe. We don't eat out much because we cook at home nowadays, so when we do, we wanna enjoy the classics lol. It's actually really cool seeing how the place has evolved over the years. The very first time we came, the back area looked like this cute little library/study hall/tutoring/game/hangout room. Then a couple years into the COVID days, it turned into a unique snack and gift shop vibe. Now it's this awesome mini arcade/lounge setup with comfy seating, sports on TV, and really great food (savory & sweets) and drinks. And the food is SOLID. Even on my last mozzarella stick, I still had a cheese pull -- and it had already been at least like 20-30 minutes. That says a lot on the quality. What also makes this place stand out is the little acts of kindness. Part of their service is while we were already getting busy, grubbing, they randomly offered us a complimentary yummy, soft, and fluffy eggette on a stick with their condensed milk sauce, which gave me that feeling like how a love one would just randomly give something very sweet just because. I don't go out much anymore, but if I'm craving for some outside sweets and treats oh and almost forgot to mention how pretty affordable for the quality and portions we got for our meal, I'm def bringing my nieces n nephews here when they visit! I love the different chairs, décor, games, ambiance, food, and drinks! They keep everything so clean, neat, and organized at the station from where you sanitize your hands, grab your napkins, straws and condiments-- it genuinely feels like there's something here for everyone.
