Although the restaurant was pretty empty, our hostess was very nice. She sat us right away, took our orders, but it did take a while for us to get our food once the food did arrive. It was nice fresh and hot and she also made a substitute for one of our guest even though it said no substitution so we really did appreciate that., Native has a variety of foods from sandwiches to pizza to your typical sports bar type of fried delicacies

Came here after the wait at Chilis (Friday night) was too long and the dining room at this place was almost empty so we thought it would be good. Spent most of dinner wishing we had gone somewhere else. We were wondering why they were not busy but we soon found out. The service went fine. Food was fairly timely. The food was very bland. I got the sampler. The strippers were leathery and bland. The potato skins were a weird texture and flavorless. Most everyone in our party was underwhelmed. The green chile burger didn't have flavor either. For the price, the burger patty was small. Went so far to take a roasted chile pod off to eat it straight to try to taste the flavor. It didn't taste like anything. Proceed with caution.

Food. Ordered a dinner salad got maybe a little bowl full of iceberg lettuce, shredded mozzarella and diced tomatoes. The wings and I got barbecue and I also got medium boneless wings. If you like overdone hello wing (boneless wings) this is your spot to eat. My total for my bill for a salad barbecue wings and medium wings was almost $40. That is with delivery. Do not recommend.

Boneless wings (front) and chicken strips (back), and sauces on the table.

I've been here several times because the food is great. I have an addiction to wings. But good GOD the service is slower than molasses.

The wings and pizza weren't bad. The burger was tasteless with a stale hard bun. Not going back for a very long time.

Some of the worst service I've had in Tucson. We went on a weeknight and the place was nearly empty, now I know why. Food was a 2 at best

We got there and there were no low top tables available inside (needed a high chair), so we had to sit outside. It was completely empty outside. The hostess led us to a table and chairs that were soaked by the misters. She acted like it was fine. There was only one other low top outside. We went to it and there were tons of red ants crawling all around the ground and up the table and chair legs. Also a bunch of leaves and debris. The whole time going from table 1 to table 2, then noticing and commenting on the ants, the hostess was right there. No apology or attempt to clean anything up. Just standing there awkwardly, watching us take in the disappointment. It was clear the outside was not cleaned or even looked at in quite some time, and that would not change, so we left. We went to Lil Abners instead. As soon as we got there, we realized our terrible experience at Growlers was a blessing in disguise. The drink deals are better and cheaper at Lil Abners anyway. Plus, despite a staff of mostly high school and college age kids, they actually do a good job of making sure you have a good experience. And of course, the food is a million times better. So long Growlers. We won't be back.

Numerous large…read moreand well positioned TV's, a large bar with ample seating and high ceilings, a side room with pool tables, a kitchen with a fryer and grill and a meu which appears suitable for a Sport's Bar. The outdoor batting cages are an added draw making it seemingly a family-friendly environment. We have been to Home Plate around 8 times in the past 1.5 years. So, by no means am I basing my opinion on a single visit. The food is basic bar food with nothing special about it. I can do better at home. Our last time eating there, my family had hamburgers. They were extremely messy and fair at best. The service has never been "fast" noreven attentive. With wages being fairly high in AZ, service will often suffer due to understaffing. My wife and I went to Home Plate last night to watch some preseason football. It appeared that a couple new bartenders were in training. A red-headed woman who appeared to be the trainer was incredibly rude to the trainees who approached her for some direction. A) Terrible condescending way to train B) Never put an employee down and definitely don't berate them in front of customers. I was surprised that the bartender in training didn't walk out. Later in the evening something transpired in the side room which was handled by this same worker yelling from the bar to the people in that room using expletives. Where is the Customer Service? Where is basic decency and tact? After last night, my wife and I were in agreement that we deserve a more professional sport's bar experience. At a minimum, I shouldn't have to bear witness to public shaming of a new employee. On a side note: I did find it uncomfortable that a large centrally located TV was always tuned to Newsmax regardless of it being a Sport's Bar. MAGA recruitment tool or perhaps conversion therapy for Trump Derangement Syndrome?

I was greeted by the bartender who was SUPER friendly and made me feel very welcome. There were others at the bar that asked if I needed a seat at the bar. Very cool vibe. Sports bar vibe....with a family friendly place as well. The second bartender that relived the first one was..nice and friendly, but I did not get that "happy your here "feeling. I ordered the HH cod tacos with slaw, avocado lime sauce, and salsa. They were so good!! The blend of the fresh fish with the slaw....YUMMY. The fish was perfectly cooked. Crisp and not greasy, and so flavorful. I wondered why they delivered a bunch of napkins and ....a few bites in I realized. All over the face, and dripping down the chin....good!! :-) I got a burger to go, with added green chilies. I asked for rare, and I got medium to medium well. Sad panda, but it is still a good burger. I just really love to taste the burger at a rare temp. I also asked for a cup of the gumbo. My first bite was SO salty. I don't know if it was in storage or not fresh, but it was a salt lick. Could not taste the flavor past the saltiness. Good locals place, and prices are reasonable. I appreciate a Veteran owns the establishment and since I am a Veteran as well....I will always support Veteran owned!!

Two visits doesn't make a pattern. But so far my experience is that you can walk in at any time and receive the same dismissive attitude. To be clear, I don't necessarily fault the individuals - this is typically a management issue (coming from someone who has worked behind the bar). Bottom line, a simple hello goes a long way, just sayin. Our business favors those who realize their patrons have options. FWIW this is my first-ever "negative" review. In any state. Take that for what it is. If I don't like a place, I just don't go back. But there's a missed opportunity here, y'all. We went to a different Trident in Tucson and met the best server ever, no lie. IV, please get it together and we'll come back.

It's even better when you get it straight from the source. What I love: An expanded selection of small-batch beers you won't find anywhere else. There were like 3 IPAs I'd never heard of before. They even had a lager made with pickles! (not my thing, but it has fans). You can also tell right away this spot is great for large groups, and the patio is like 50 feet long--probably amazing in better weather What I like: You can't go wrong with the food, either. I'm a big fan of the southwestern egg rolls (a better rendition of them than a certain chain restaurant). The sandwiches are decent. Nothing really sticks out as a signature item, and nothing is made with a particular beer pairing in mind, but I'll forgive them--it's solid food. When it cools down a bit, I'll certainly return here to try more lesser-known beers and a snack. The location is a little out of the way, but you won't regret going a couple miles outside of downtown for this.
