My friend's boyfriend chose this place for us to go to for lunch yesterday. They've been in the past. We walked into the bar area & just seated ourselves at a high top. We waited a few minutes before someone came over to greet us. It was an older, blonde female. She never told us her name but she had asked us if we wanted something to drink. I inquired about seltzers & they only had High noon Watermelon & White claw Mango. I was disappointed in their slim options so I asked for a Tito's soda with lemon. She brought our drinks over right away & of course there was a lime in my drink & she apologized & said it was her fault and quickly came back with lemons. I order the fried mushroom & fried zucchini appetizer and it came out prior to my meal. I actually perfer zucchini spears, they serve slices. These veggies were OK. They came with a side of ranch. The portion wasn't worth the cost of them. Another waitress, Kelsey (I asked her her name as she was so friendly/nice) was running around who brought out our appetizer but I had to ask for another silverware setting as there was only 2 on the table to begin with & there were 3 of us. I also had to ask for plates so I could share with my friends. I decided to go with the brisket with cheese sandwich & substituted my fries for onion rings. I had asked our waitress if the onion rings were homemade & she said "no, but they're really good." I also added a side of Western beans. The brisket was dry but it came with a side of yummy, sweet BBQ sauce....thank God! I didn't want the bun & just ate the brisket. The onion rings were OK & I didn't like the beans. They weren't sweet @ all & had a spicy kick to them. She was nice & took them off my bill when I told her I didn't like them. Our waitress did come back shortly after we dug into our food to ask us how things were & if we needed anything. She was a good waitress but man she seemed so miserable. She wasn't happy or chipper and it seemed like she didn't want to be there by her demeanor. There were games on the big screen TV's near by. This seems to be a "sports bar." AZ was playing. I did find that it was hard to hear my friend's while trying to converse with them. We asked for our check & she asked if we wanted any to-go containers which my friend's did as they had left overs. Things were brought over shortly but once she dropped the check off she took off, my friend even had her CC out & ready to cash out. I'm giving 3 stars due to the food & the prices of the food. It's definitely frozen bar food & it wasn't that great. Over priced IMO. 4 stars for our waitress & Kelsey. Just wished our waitress was happier & friendlier.

Wings tasted just like buffalo hot sauce, we ordered habanero. They weren't spicy at all. Ribs were ok, nothing tasted smoked. Prickly pear margarita was super good. Service was fast.

We tried this place again to try something new and different. I was actually in the mood for a tri-tip which it seems nobody in Tucson offers anymore after chewy's has closed and was hoping that they would have it, but they did not. I went for the prime rib, sliders, and my wife went for the brisket sliders. The meals come with many choices for sides and they have about three different types of fries you can get. My wife got the Texas fries, which is basically homemade from the real potato and I got the crinkle cut fries. The food itself is very good. My fries weren't exactly piping hot but hard enough to eat. Our waitress was very nice and on top of things. We found out that this place has music, trivia, and music bingo. I forget which days it is, but we just might have to check that out.

This is our brisket sandwich that we paid $18 for what a disappointment .

We always love barn, fire Grill, but after tonight we won't order from there again. We ordered the prime rib and it was so tough. We could barely chew it and it wasn't seasoned well at all the mashed potatoes and gravy no salt no seasoning had no flavor except maybe a little salty gravy also ordered the brisket sandwich. The brisket sandwich had hardly any meat on it at all. It didn't even look like a brisket sandwich. It looked like a pulled pork sandwich. The bun was all soggy. We ordered coleslaw. It was dry and no flavor and also a side of beans and the beans were disgusting. They weren't cooked properly no seasoning and they went one spoonful and directly in the trash. We won't be going there again. I don't know what's happened to this place but after paying almost 60 bucks it was a total waste of money. I don't know who's cooking there but they could use a new chef

My pesto grilled chicken was outstanding came with a really nice salad.

The sports bar section is great! Friendly bartenders and waitresses. Stopped last night to check it out for watching football today. The bartender remembered what I was drinking. Good prices on food and drinks. The ribs were delicious. Love the sport bar atmosphere. Good music also.

Bone in ribeye. Coleslaw and a sweet potatoe. Cooked medium rare and just right!

Had dinner here for the first time in a while. Ordered a ribeye. My steak was cooked OK. The cut of meat was strange. Not the best ribeye for sure. My salad was not that good as it wasn't mixed well and had chucks of lettuce and onions. The bar is fun and a-little dated but good place to watch football. Overall disappointing food. One bright spot is their service is spot on!

    Tables in bar too

Very friendly bar & restaurant with good food.Service was prompt & food was served hot.I had the mesquite grilled chicken breast.Perfectly cooked & juicy.Excellent salad. Lots of sports tv's around.I'll be back

Been here a few times when I'm in town to visit cause it's one of my Dads favorite bars to meet friends at. Great friendly staff and usually get margaritas here that are pretty good! Really affordable too!

The brisket is absolute trash. I couldn't even cut it. Sausage was spicy and ok. Service was average.

I decided to revisit Trident, as it has been a few years. I usually go to another establishment,…read morebut we all need to venture out of our usual places now and again. I was greeted by the bartender who was SUPER friendly and made me feel very welcome. There were others at the bar that asked if I needed a seat at the bar. Very cool vibe. Sports bar vibe....with a family friendly place as well. The second bartender that relived the first one was..nice and friendly, but I did not get that "happy your here "feeling. I ordered the HH cod tacos with slaw, avocado lime sauce, and salsa. They were so good!! The blend of the fresh fish with the slaw....YUMMY. The fish was perfectly cooked. Crisp and not greasy, and so flavorful. I wondered why they delivered a bunch of napkins and ....a few bites in I realized. All over the face, and dripping down the chin....good!! :-) I got a burger to go, with added green chilies. I asked for rare, and I got medium to medium well. Sad panda, but it is still a good burger. I just really love to taste the burger at a rare temp. I also asked for a cup of the gumbo. My first bite was SO salty. I don't know if it was in storage or not fresh, but it was a salt lick. Could not taste the flavor past the saltiness. Good locals place, and prices are reasonable. I appreciate a Veteran owns the establishment and since I am a Veteran as well....I will always support Veteran owned!!

Been here twice in two months - once during a weekday happy hour and once on a Saturday night…read more Different staff both times but the vibe was the same: annoyed that we came in at all, and apathetic at best. Two visits doesn't make a pattern. But so far my experience is that you can walk in at any time and receive the same dismissive attitude. To be clear, I don't necessarily fault the individuals - this is typically a management issue (coming from someone who has worked behind the bar). Bottom line, a simple hello goes a long way, just sayin. Our business favors those who realize their patrons have options. FWIW this is my first-ever "negative" review. In any state. Take that for what it is. If I don't like a place, I just don't go back. But there's a missed opportunity here, y'all. We went to a different Trident in Tucson and met the best server ever, no lie. IV, please get it together and we'll come back.

We got there and there were no low top tables available inside (needed a high chair), so we had to sit outside. It was completely empty outside. The hostess led us to a table and chairs that were soaked by the misters. She acted like it was fine. There was only one other low top outside. We went to it and there were tons of red ants crawling all around the ground and up the table and chair legs. Also a bunch of leaves and debris. The whole time going from table 1 to table 2, then noticing and commenting on the ants, the hostess was right there. No apology or attempt to clean anything up. Just standing there awkwardly, watching us take in the disappointment. It was clear the outside was not cleaned or even looked at in quite some time, and that would not change, so we left. We went to Lil Abners instead. As soon as we got there, we realized our terrible experience at Growlers was a blessing in disguise. The drink deals are better and cheaper at Lil Abners anyway. Plus, despite a staff of mostly high school and college age kids, they actually do a good job of making sure you have a good experience. And of course, the food is a million times better. So long Growlers. We won't be back.
