I absolutely love this place, it's a family favorite! My go to is the drunken noodles and thai tea. It's hits every time. As a thai tea lover and enthusiast, I've yet to have one better than their's. Great portion sizes too, my take out order is always packed to the brim. I go to school out of state and across the country, and this place is often one of the first places I try to order from when I come home. Everyone who works here is so nice, there's one particular woman who always remembers me, asks how school is, and tells me I'm so cute haha. This was absolutely a wonderful restaurant to try and experience some really great food! Service was very prompt, friendly, and helpful. We had asked a few questions to help assist our daughter with her selection and the staff was so thoughtful with their recommendations. We had shrimp Pad Thai, chicken Panang Curry, and Satay chicken with peanut sauce. The orders came with two sides of rice as well. All of the food items were thoughtfully prepared and taste was delightful. The peanut sauce with the Patay chicken was delicious- texture was saucey but not watery or firm. Three of us had dinner at this place and all three of us enjoyed our dishes, Basel Chicken, Gai Non Rung (chicken and kale), and Pepper Steak. They served delicious sticky rice with mango. Easy to find the place and abundant parking available in the area. 7-9 tables in total. It is good to have reservation, if not they will be accommodate walk-ins. But wait times isn't that long. Ambiance is okay, table height is decent and atmosphere is very calm. Staff and service is quick and excellent. Feels like a family owned business which shows in a good way. Language is not a barrier. Food is great, I have tasted some of the best curries and duck dishes here and attention to details is good. Dishes are well presented. Ginger rice dishes are amazing. Tonight we decided to come back and ordered some yummy Thai food. However, I am super disappointed with my pineapple fried rice. It's totally different from what I expected. It's not fried rice. The rice is so sticky and you can taste the artificial canned pineapple in every bite. In this dish, we asked the chef not to put the cashew nuts. When we saw this fried rice, there were only chicken, pineapple chunks and eggs. No dried shredded pork and raisins, different from the menu descriptions. In our beef green curry, the beef is not tender at all, super tough. And the soup of green curry is too flat. Also, the receptionist was very rude. She kept interrupting us and asked us to wait by yelling. I strongly felt that we were treated like a 5-year-old. Sadly, we will not visit Natta Thai again. read more

Ok, so after reading the Yelp reviews, hearing from one friend that Natta Thai is "natta good" and another saying she loved it, I had to make a determination for myself. Tonight I stopped in and got chicken drunken noodles to go. My rating: 3.75 stars - I'll round up for stars although I must admit I wouldn't give a full 4. The drunken noodles had a nice spice level (I can always go spicier, but I like to try each place's drunken noodles with the restaurant's "base spice" to have a fair comparison), the noodles were prepared well, the food was fresh, hot, a good portion, and not overly greasy. I wish the chicken wasn't minced. The website doesn't specify, and while one of the Yelp photos did indicate minced chicken, I wasn't sure if it was prepared that way all the time. I prefer when drunken noodles come with bigger pieces of chicken - I find that there aren't as many "chewy bits" that way. The price: standard for the area - $12, which is what Sisters Thai and Elephant Jumps charge. On this particular Tuesday night, around 8:15pm, there were two tables occupied. I've noticed some reviews where they say the take-out takes a while...perhaps they are getting takeout on really busy nights? I had no issues with the timing. They were right on time with my order: they told me 20 minutes and it was ready in exactly 20 minutes. Oh, one thing? When I left, they asked if I wanted chopsticks...after mentioning he did not include a utensil in my bag...not sure why but this just struck me as odd. Overall? I'd say the food is 3.5 stars (I really don't like the minced chicken, but I know that's a personal gripe), and the service and price are 4 at least from this experience. Good, not great -if I needed Thai in a pinch and needed it to be close by, I'd go there again and order something different. (For comparison, my favorite drunken noodles in the area remains Elephant Jumps.) read more

I was a fan, the smell was very overpowering though so brace yourself with the fishy smell. For main dish, we had the pineapple fried rice with chicken and and pineapple chicken curry. literally the worst customer service I have EVER experienced! I'm still in shock at the unprofessionalism of the manager. my office ordered food for my supervisors birthday, little did we know how much of a headache it would be. I ordered the chicken and beef drunken noodles and it came with NO chicken!!! I was at work so i couldnt call and tell them so i figured id stop by the restaurant as i left the office. when i went to speak with the manager he called me a liar and was hesitant to refund my food. im upset over the fact they aren't taking ownership for their mistake. Hidden in a small shopping center in Vienna, this place gets crowded quick! It only seats about 20 people and when we got there at 5pm on a Saturday, the whole restaurant was practically full by 6. The Thai tea is the best I've had in the area. Ordered the spring rolls, yellow curry with chicken and the garlic chicken. The spring rolls were super crispy and tasty--wish they were a bit bigger though, or gave more rolls. The yellow curry was creamy and had a lot of flavor but nothing was too overpowering. The garlic chicken was also tasty but the sauce was a bit salty. We saw someone get the pad thai and it looked amazing...the noodles were piled high with a heaping load of peanuts...the best part! Interesting to see that both the pad Thai shrimp and pad Thai chicken cost the same. Con: I would have to say the wait time was long for food. Definitely more than 15 minutes. The price is about same price for area and comparable to other Thai places in the area. I am kind of not sure if this restaurant deserves 4 stars, but doesn't exactly deserve 3 either. If I could, I would give it 3.5-3.75 star overall- food was great, service was just ok. I found Natta Thai while looking for Thai curry in Vienna. Located in the Glyndon Shopping Center off of Maple, the restaurant had plenty of parking and a very brief wait. The waitress seated us promptly and took our orders quickly as well. The Kanom Jeeb appetizer came with six steamed wontons filled with crab and chicken...very fresh and flavorful and not too filling! The sweet dipping sauce complemented the savory dumplings. I ordered the chicken red curry which came with a side portion of white rice. I love red curry and I think this may have been one of the best. The curry was perfectly balanced between creaminess, coconut and spiciness, although I would have liked a bit more spice. I was also pleased that the dish came with lots of bamboo shoots, white meat chicken and Thai basil. I also appreciated that the white rice was clearly fresh, soft and not dry. I was sick and suffering from a frustratingly stuffy nose when I happened upon Natta Thai on Saturday night. Thai food is great for spicy comfort food so I was excited to get it. We got seated pretty quickly even though the restaurant is small and it was pretty crowded. We started with the kanom jeeb, which is steamed dumplings with crab and chicken. They were really nice. Well cooked and the flavors went well together. For my main dish I had green curry with chicken. It definitely helped clear out my stuffy nose with the spiciness, but it wasn't an overbearing spice. It was perfect! I loved that it was full of bamboo shoots and plenty of chicken. There was a lot of other stuff on the menu that I'd love to try, especially the pad thai. It looked so good when other people ordered it that I really want to come back and try it. read more

We typically go to Thai Corner in Tysons, but wanted to give this a try with the great reviews. Pretty good! Not sure I'd come here with preference over Thai Corner, but it's quite good overall. We ordered larb gai for an app. Was a bit confused as it didn't come as wraps, just the chicken on chopped up lettuce leaves. The flavor was very good though, spicy enough and enough lime. We ordered the basil and garlic duck and basil and fried prawns for mains. The duck was very good, tender and juicy, and the sauce was delicious too. The basil and fried prawns, I asked ahead of time if this was a saucy dish, and the server said no b/c the fried prawns would get soggy. Well, the dish definitely came out with sauce all over it. It tasted like the duck's basil/garlic sauce but much much sweeter. It was too sweet for my taste. Both dishes were garnished with fried basil chips. Also, they don't have any desserts - really wanted to finish off with some mango sticky rice! Their service was very good - all the servers that stopped by our table were very nice. read more

Very small restaurant in a strip mall in Vienna VA with excellent Thai cuisine that is a bit different from other Thai restaurants, most likely hailing from a different region. The best of the best are their appetizers. We love their Golden Triangles, Asian Chili Shrimp, Curry Puffs, Seared Pot Stickers and Satay. The Larb salad is excellent and a little different. They also uniquely offer crispy fried kale, a vegetable "cotton candy", on one entree, and it can be ordered as a side dish. One evening we were there and every table had a side of fried kale. Nothing is really spicy unless requested, and they always have the "hot tray" of Thai red, green and dry chili peppers if you want to kick things up a notch. Prior to the Covid shutdown Natta Thai was always packed and it was difficult finding a table on many evenings without a reservation. Since they reopened, their in-house crowd has been much sparser but the carryout business is booming. So, now it may be easier to score a walk-in table until the locals return, but as a very small restaurant with a very small kitchen you have to be patient, especially when they are backed up with dozens of take-out orders. We were their on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago and 20+ people were waiting for take out. I even overheard the lady taking a new phone order say the wait was 2 hours. That said, it seems they prioritize in-house diners to minimize wait time for those seated. At this point Natta Thai has resisted the forces of inflation and as much as possible maintained previous prices. read more

LONG POST AHEAD: I am seriously disappointed with this place. My mother use to order from here regularly, but NO MORE! They are rude and customer service is non-existent! I picked up a carry-out order for her a couple of months ago and asked for some extra pot stickers sauce. The woman in the front went back to the kitchen and returned informing me that they would charge extra. I told her no thank you especially since we were spending over $50 on our order alone! I was so tempted to tell them to forget the whole order, but it's Mom's favorite place, so you know how that goes. I told Mom to stop patronizing them, but she didn't listen. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, my Mother and her cousin ordered carry out. Her cousin was dissatisfied with her food and decided to take it back. Needless to say, the establishment was not happy. My mother called last week to place an order and they recognized the name and telephone number and informed her she was banned from their place because she complained about their food. EXCUSE ME?!! Do they expect for people to spend their hard earned money and accept their lack of customer service as well as whatever slop they give them?!
