We had a group of six for lunch today. We each ordered something different and all of the food was delicious! The bread and buns were made in house. Soup, salad, quiche, tomato bisque, sandwiches were all top rate. The woman serving us was gracious and kind. The shop connected to the restaurant had wonderful items to choose from such as organic foods and supplements, beautifully handmade children's sweaters and many unusual nice gift items. Awesome, awesome, awesome! I had the best homemade wheat toast and a delicious coffee, made fresh for me! Vegan and vegetarian options available. They take significantly more COVID precautions then almost anywhere else I went in Yreka, apparently most of the town hasn't heard there's a global pandemic and not wearing a mask puts those around you in danger. Really cute and vibrant restaurant space. On I-5 and looking for a place to stop for lunch? This is your place! I've been here a number of times over the past several years. It's one of my favorite places to have a mid-day snack or lunch in Yreka. They don't serve breakfast or dinner, but they have lots of great lunch options, especially for vegans/vegetarians. Today I had a bowl of vegetarian chili and it was tasty. I like that it had a lot of beans as well as some other veggies, and the corn chips on the side go well with the chili. I also had an apricot bar which was good, but it was just a tad too sweet. The food isn't super amazing, but it's definitely healthier than most of the other options in town. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is whimsical. Unfortunately, they don't have wifi, but it's a great spot to work if you don't need the web or you have your own hot spot. The filtered water tested at 39 which is outstanding for a restaurant (50 and lower is generally safest to drink). Just in case you need to pick up a playful gift, they have delightful trinkets for kids and earthy people. It would be awesome if they could add some outdoor seating. Tip: This is a great place to replenish your water bottle. read more

I had eggplant burger with grilled onion on homemade bun and tomato soup - it was excellent. There was a very good musician playing guitar during lunch time. Omg, the food is scrumptious, fresh and special! We ordered the tomato bisque soup, that was freshness in a bowl; spinach quiche that had the nicest, flakiest, buttery crust and a side salad with homemade sesame garlic dressing (mild, not heavy!). Everything had just the right amount of seasoning. While waiting for our food I browsed their store that was full of healthy food and products and the esoteric chakra kind of stuff. I bought two kinds of sauerkraut and a cinnamon roll. Tried them with our meal and they were so delicious! There was a guitar player, providing soft background music, which was really cool, because for as small as the dining area was, most owners probably wouldn't allow that, so kudos to these owners! The decor is funky and colorful, with beautiful colorful socks for sale. The socks are thick and resemble hand knitted. The kids socks even come three to a set! Everyone working there is so nice and kind. I am happy we discovered this place. Well actually, thanks to the freeway sign with logos of restaurants. This place is delish!! We had the tuna melt and the chili relleno casserole. Both dishes exceeded expectations. The side salad and tomato bisque soup were great too. Everything tastes like it was homemade by a great cook. The shop inside is also very nice. A lot of beautiful gifts and spiritual and handmade items. I was looking for Grandma's, now closed, and found Nature's. Looks can be deceiving. The menu depends on what's cooking at the time. I ordered a Huevos Rancheros Casserole (!). Unusual, surprisingly delicious! The service was warm and friendly. Small and cozy. Sorry, no photos of food (camera was at home). The attached gifts/herbal remedies/cards and oddball goodies selection encourages browsing. I found a cute little treasures box, very well made and quite clever. When opened a rubber mouse jumps out and nips your finger. A kid's delight and adult's terror! Great for grandkids! This is a delightful little place. Visited this beautifully eclectic establishment twice last week. Once for lunch and a second time for breakfast pastries. The owners are amazing, they make you feel like they've been waiting for you! I happened upon this place on a trip from Oregon to California. The café is attached to a small health food store. There are a variety of salads soups burgers and specials, such as quiche. Cookies and other treats are displayed at the cash register. Service was excellent! I sat on the patio with my dog. I enjoyed a salmon burger but salad, and my dog enjoyed a side of chicken. I also enjoyed homemade ice cream sandwich. This café is perfect for vegetarians, vegan, and anyone wanting to eat more naturally. It's not very far off the freeway, and there is ample parking. I love Nature's Kitchen and ask to eat here every time I visit family in Yreka. Their food is delicious, real and nutritious and their servings plentiful. Their breads are gorgeous as are their soups and salads. Oh, and their tuna melt is dreamy! Their service is solid even if their kitchen is probably too small to handle the demand. The only downside is the cost but that is often the case when you have real food with quality fresh ingredients. It gets a little spendy. Great food. Stopped here midway to Calistoga. Great tomato bisque with a bit of rice to give it some heartiness. The tuna melt with jelly was the perfect direction of savory and sweet without being heavy. My wife had the quiche and salad which were very satisfying. This place does a number of fresh juices which is satisfying the soul. The staff was attentive and sweet. The decor is very organic and hippie and was enjoyable to walk around. It seems filled with regulars and seems like a hub of things. This is a charming surprise in a quaint old mining town! We found it by accident. The service was dear and the food was like one of your family's successful meals. Every one talks to everyone. Very good food, I love that they have a good selection of vegetarian, vegan, and "non-V" food. I've been here a handful of times and most recently I had the Macaroni & Cheese and split pea soup. I don't even like peas but I really didn't want salad so I took a chance on the soup and it was delicious! The macaroni and cheese was so good that even though I only had a few bites left over I asked for a box to take home with me, I couldn't leave it! Even cold several hours later it was delicious. The Chai shake was good too even though I don't believe there was a bite of ice cream in it. It is a little pricey for a boutique type of establishment, for me and the lady I was eating with our lunch came to $30.
