I went to the soft opening of this restaurant, so take this with a grain of salt. Food The lemon mojito is so yum! Overall, the flavors were pretty muted. The falafel sandwich was not consistent in the sense that sometimes it would be spicy and other times it didn't taste like much. The chicken kabob in the mixed grill platter was well marinated and tasted good. The beef and lamb kabobs were a bit dry and didn't have as much flavor, but they were also good. We were also given a dessert as an apology for the delay but either it wasn't our flavor palette or it just didn't taste like much. Service Service was quite slow. Understandable as there seems to be 3-4 people running such a large space. However, the food took nearly 40 minutes to come out. We arrived around 12:05 and we left at 1:20pm. Ambiance The restaurant is set up really nicely! All the tables are away from the bathroom and the lighting is very nice. The space was clean and open. The outside looks very cute sort of like a bungalow style with covered outdoor seating!

Things immediately got uncomfortable when I went to get salad and grabbed a few olives from a small cluster of maybe 3 or 4 olives. A woman started harassing me, saying she had chosen to dine there instead of getting the food to go because she loves olives. So do I, but I was there first and simply grabbed some from the spot I reached for. She immediately started yelling for a staff member and complaining that I had taken "all the olives." Instead of de-escalating the situation, the staff allowed the harassment and even joined in on it. Maybe she's a regular there, but I found the whole thing incredibly unprofessional and honestly ridiculous. When I tried to record what was happening, an older man who I assume works there started screaming at me about recording not being allowed. I did start recording once I sat down because of how ridiculous it was that she stayed there complaining more than 10 minutes later waiting on olives. He screamed at me while I was seated. One of the staff members cut directly in front of me in the buffet line and grabbed the serving spoon I was about to use. She then gave me an angry look as if I had cut in front of her instead of the other way around. She appeared out of nowhere and was unnecessarily rude. On top of that, tables were not being cleared, the food trays were barely being refilled, and there were no gloves available for hygiene. The restroom smelled like rotten eggs to the point that it made me feel sick and I ended up throwing up. I only got one plate of food and one dessert/fruit plate because I completely lost my appetite after everything. The desserts were overly sweet and dry, and the rose water tasted watered down. They also didn't have bread or beef available until we were already leaving. It wasn't that busy when we first arrived. Then came the checkout experience. The woman at the register was not listening at all. We clearly said there were 4 people, 2 of them seniors. While I was entering my phone number, she immediately announced the total was over $107. She refused to apply the senior discount or let me use the points I had accumulated. She shrugged her shoulders, acted dismissive, and honestly behaved like a spoiled teenager. My sister picked up a book from a stand that clearly said "free to take," and suddenly the cashier wanted to call the manager over because apparently we had to pay for it. I started walking away in disbelief, assuming my sister would just leave it there, but when my sister pointed out the sign, the cashier called her a thief in front of the growing line of customers. I walked back and told my sister to just leave, so she left the book on the counter and we walked out. I genuinely do not understand the point system if they refuse to honor it. I would not go out of my way to come here again, and I hope my family doesn't either. The customer service here has gone downhill significantly. They would rather let a random woman create drama over nothing and then take it out on paying customers.

We arrived at 2 pm and were the only customers there. The waitress seated us right away. It was a small place with several tables inside. We did not have a large appetite when we arrived so we decided to spit several appetizers and a main dish. Everyone gets a small pate with Pita Bread, Feta Cheese, and Mint. It was nice to cleanse the pate before our meal. We ordered the Hummus and Baba Ganoush. Both were tasty but not extraordinary. We ordered the Chicken Soltani. Both my colleague and I decided that this was some of the best Koobideh and Chicken Kebab we had had in a while. The rice was cooked to perfection and I am always a big fan of Grilled Tomatoes. We thought the food was so tasty that we both decided we would be back again.

Sometimes, especially with Mediterranean restaurants, it's hard for me to judge how good a place is…read morebased on the menu alone. For example, I can generally tell a good Chinese place from a mediocre one based on certain dishes that's being offered or what the place is calling it, same with Mexican. Is it failproof? Absolutely not. But it gives me an idea of what we're working with. However, "Mediterranean" I feel like is such a broad term and maybe because DFW doesn't have a ton of Persian options, the restaurants tend to offer more mainstream menu items, like kabobs and gyros. And let's face it, we've all had dried kabobs and subpar gyro. As my colleague and I sat down and stared at the small (and honestly a bit pricey) menu, I was almost regretful for choosing the restaurant. However, we stayed because this place had such high ratings on both Google and Yelp. And in reviews we trust! I stared at the chicken kabob option and ended up ordering it. Would I have liked a little something more than just chicken and rice and a blackened tomato for the price? Yes. But was it one of the best chicken and rice and blackened tomato I've had in a Mediterranean restaurant? Also yes. The rice had flavor, the chicken was moist and the tomato was chef's kiss. I stole a couple of french fries from my colleagues plate and she assured me that her gyro was also great. The simpleness of the dish plus the perfect execution was enough to convince me of returning soon.

First off the menu options are varied making it hard to choose just one entree. Did we want pancakes or French toast or biscuits....so hard. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, kitchen side and it was so fascinating to see meals as they were prepped to go out to patrons. Everything looked fresh, delicious, and made to order and the portions were definitely shareable. We started off with brunch cocktails and even received a comp croissant beignet appetizer which was absolutely amazing. They were flacky on the outside and butter soft inside with amazing Nutella dipping sauce. We decided to go with a green goddess salad with all the yummy veggies, French toast, and pancakes for the table. This is a great place to dine alone and with family, friends, or a brunch date. Its very farmhouse chic and cant what to go back and try more of the menu. They will always get a recommendation from me. First off the Chicken Fried Chicken was delicious prepared very well good flavor and very crispy. The gravy had a lot of flavor as well no salt or pepper needed. I order three eggs over medium the yolk could have been a bit more runny. I didn't care for the has because it did not have any potatoes in it. Service was good but did not knock my socks off. The restaurant is decorated very nice and had a good vibe. I ordered a second piece of sourdough toast which tasted great hence the reason for a second piece. The real home made jam made the toast. When the bill came I was charged $4.50 for a single piece of toast. This was a ridiculous amount for a single piece of toast it was more than my iced tea. Really $2.00 for a piece of bread toasted seems like a reasonable price. I just finished breakfast at another breakfast spot up on University. I really can't compare apples to apples except for the addition pice of toast. $1.99 for two slices of toast. Over all meal was priced fair. I just don't think I will be back here due to the prices.
