I went to the soft opening of this restaurant, so take this with a grain of salt. Food The lemon mojito is so yum! Overall, the flavors were pretty muted. The falafel sandwich was not consistent in the sense that sometimes it would be spicy and other times it didn't taste like much. The chicken kabob in the mixed grill platter was well marinated and tasted good. The beef and lamb kabobs were a bit dry and didn't have as much flavor, but they were also good. We were also given a dessert as an apology for the delay but either it wasn't our flavor palette or it just didn't taste like much. Service Service was quite slow. Understandable as there seems to be 3-4 people running such a large space. However, the food took nearly 40 minutes to come out. We arrived around 12:05 and we left at 1:20pm. Ambiance The restaurant is set up really nicely! All the tables are away from the bathroom and the lighting is very nice. The space was clean and open. The outside looks very cute sort of like a bungalow style with covered outdoor seating!

All three of the people that came by to refill coffee and water and to check on us (multiple times) were very nice. We were fortunate to arrive at the perfect time for a Saturday morning, as we would find out in just a few minutes, as we watched the wait list grow. This being our first time, we weren't sure of the seating situation. I walked to the back, where the to-go pick up was located, to find that we can sit anywhere and that someone would come and help us. We did, and they did. I suggest you stop in and give Curuba a try. Very reasonable prices, lots of menu choices, wonderful staff, oh, did I mention the coffee? I love dark roast coffee, "Just black, please". This Columbian coffee is dark, rich, smooth and flavorful with an aroma that hits the senses with every taste. If you're a dark roasted coffee fan, stop in for a cup to go. You'll be back. And even better, the coffee comes from Columbia. They purchase it from a local importer (I believe). They provided the url via QR code. We believe in the "Buy local" philosophy. It's nice to see businesses doing business with local businesses. THE BAD: It's a small restaurant. Making a reservation (Open Table) is likely a good idea. We happened to find it at a slow moment on a Saturday morning. OVERALL: We're fans. I'd love to take our friends and family for lunch, or tell them about our new find. However, there are some things better kept to oneself.

The crust is made from sourdough, and the cheese, sauce, everything about it is just amazing. All of their pastries are delicious too, but I honestly go for the pizza. So many different pastries here, only wished I was able to sample more but that's the bane of solo traveling! Fantastic line up of chocolate almond, pain au chocolate, and traditional crossiants. Got the: NY style Spicy Soppressat pizza slice - 4/5 IMO. It definitely does remind me of NY pizza. Quite large slices, generous meat portion, crust/dough was great and as i expected from a bakery! Veggie quiche: 2/5. Honestly really could have gone without this. The redeeming factor is the crust was great but I was hoping for more flavor from a veggie quiche. I know there's no meat as its a veggie quiche but it was pretty bland overall Chocolate almond crossiant: 5/5 now this was so worth. From cross referencing google reviews it looks like this place is more known for their crossiants and it was great and worth it. Flaky, perfect filling, I think this was my personal highlight here Overall I like their chocolate almond crossiant and this would probably be what brings me back!

The cagliaritana had the PERFECT ratio of ingredients and the crunch on the pizza was unreal. Everything tasted and smelled insanely fresh. The Caesar was loaded with freshly shaved parm and somehow tasted way better than a Caesar salad has any right to. I think the croutons were also homemade? Perfect! The small three cheese pizza was also perfect -- great crust, great sauce-to-cheese ratio, and honestly the perfect size to split with someone alongside a salad. But the TNT panini?? Holy crap. The second you unwrap it, the smell of the garlicky focaccia hits you immediately. And the pink sauce was some of the best I've had. The tiramisu was also the perfect sweet ending to the meal. It wasn't overly sweet and soggy like most in this area. Cannot wait to try the cannolis! After years of searching for real Italian food, I finally feel like I found it. Fresh ingredients, amazing flavor, and genuinely kind people. The owner (or who I believe was the owner working the front) was so friendly, accommodating, and transparent about timing. We ordered ahead online and everything worked out perfectly. Already excited for the leftovers and cannot wait for another visit!

Maybe it got cold by the time I came home and tried it? But it's a pick-up only location, and i live like 13 mins away, so idk how to make the experience better. I did see some people getting the sandwich, and they looked really good. I do want to revisit to try the sandwiches, but the pizzas are unfortunately a no for me. The service was decent. The store is a tiny, super cute pick-up location.

While I did not eat in the restaurant, it was beautifully decorated, with comfortable tables and booths (so something for everyone). I placed my order and waited at an empty table with a book. Several other patrons stopped in to pick up orders, so it seems that this is a good place for both dine in and takeaway. The food preparation was fast, and I brought our items home to enjoy. The falafel was wonderful (not dry at all, which is often the case), and the meats were well seasoned. The hummus was awesome and the pita was fresh. I have only had Ezme at one other place, and this was definitely better. I always love baba ganoush and this was so good, especially with the warm bread. The family meal for 4 was plenty of food. All the meats, including the chicken items because a lot of time those are over cooked. The lamb tikka, and sheeh tawook were my favorites, but I did enjoy them all. The desserts were a miss for us over all. The ice cream was on the icy side and not as creamy, kunafa was ok but I've had better. The baklava was like any baklava you can get, so not bad. It is slightly pricey but worth it in my opinion. Nice place that can accommodate larger parties, but also has some booths for intimate date night. The meat is also halal so a great option for anyone that needs that.

I'm not a fan of constant interruptions while eating, so that balance was appreciated. The place itself is awesome. Plenty of TVs, a great layout, outdoor patio, and a great bar area. Perfect hangout spot whether you're with family, friends, or just grabbing lunch solo. Prices are reasonable and competitive with similar spots. The downtown McKinney location is ideal and easy walking distance to other shops and restaurants, so no need to keep driving around. Food was great. The burger was juicy and flavorful even well done. The salmon was also well done with crispy edges and a slab of butter that melted right over it great flavor. Hoping that butter option is available for the steak because that's next on my list. Sides were solid too. Only thing I wasn't big on was the fries. They're super thin, so they were crispy but had a slightly hard, borderline stale texture. Just my opinion though. overall still a great experience. Definitely coming back. Burger and salmon were outstanding, customer service was great, and the atmosphere makes it a spot worth checking out with family or friends.

Our booth was very comfortable and easily fit our family of five. The noise level is above average, but not for a sports bar/brewery. It was just right for us. We could talk, but didn't to worry about anyone being disturbed by our kids being a little louder than normal. The menu isn't big, so I suggest perusing before arriving, especially if you have dietary restrictions or are picky. Our family settled on + Korean Shrimp Tacos (no dairy). The kitchen was super careful not to include any dairy in my tacos. They were tasty, but I didn't realize the shrimp would be fried and the slaw would be removed to accomodate my no dairy request. I would pick something else next time. + Big Tavern Burger for my husband and he loved it! Even the fries were a hit. + Big Tavern Burger with cheese and grilled onions only for one of the kids. + Plain hamburger and a single meat patty for our other two kiddos. + Hubby and I both got unsweet iced teas and the tea was brewed just right. Our waitress was wonderful, I hate that I forgot her name. She was friendly and kept our waters and iced tea full the whole time. She was never hard to find if we needed something, but gave us space to enjoy our dinner too. We will definitely be back!
