Before booking, I made it VERY clear to every company I spoke with that I had a vacation scheduled in two weeks (Memorial weekend). SGT Auto Transport assured me that was "more than enough time" for delivery, so I trusted them with the shipment. Our contract listed a pickup window between 5/8/26 and 5/12/26, with a guaranteed delivery date of 5/20/26. Even with the latest possible pickup date, they claimed they could transport the car cross-country in 8 days. SGT then subcontracted the shipment to Ozuu Express LLC -- the "professional and reputable carrier" they supposedly stand behind. We heard absolutely nothing until the final pickup day. That afternoon, I was told the driver would arrive between 5-8 PM and would call an hour before arrival. No call ever came, and the driver finally showed up at 8:20 PM. By then it was already dark, making it impossible to properly inspect the vehicle before handing it over. Then things got worse. For the next SEVEN DAYS, I watched my Tesla sit unmoved in the transporter's parking lot through the Tesla app. During that entire time, I repeatedly tried contacting Ozuu Express, but none of their phone numbers worked. When I contacted SGT instead, their phone system suddenly had a recording claiming they were experiencing phone issues and directing customers to online chat support. Since 5/18/26 -- the day the car finally left New Jersey, just TWO DAYS before the promised delivery date -- I was in contact with SGT every single day. The entire time I've received nothing but vague updates and excuses. SGT repeatedly told me they were "trying to reach the carrier" to understand why the vehicle sat for seven days and where it currently was. They also said they were working on a partial refund for the trouble that was caused, but never once got back to me on it. When I followed up on it, they hid behind the "road conditions and weather may cause delays" excuse. Anyone with google can easily disprove this claim. They know the delay had nothing to do with any of that, and everything to do with the vehicle sitting idle in a parking lot for 7 straight days. And they're dodging responsibility. As expected, the driver called while I was away on vacation. I had no one available to receive the car and was told that if I didn't allow them to leave it in my driveway, the vehicle would be taken to a tow yard and I would be charged daily storage fees until I returned. I was left with no choice but to have the vehicle left in my driveway with no way of verifying damage. AVOID AT ALL COST! CHOOSE A REPUTABLE COMPANY! THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!
