Friendly service with a (masked) smile, great place to get some donuts if you live here or are just visiting. If jelly donuts aren't your thing, they have many other varieties as well. Found this little gem while searching for a local donuts joint while In town for a soccer tournament. With 55 / 5-star reviews, how can that many people be wrong? Turns out, they weren't. Tucked into a little strip mall you could easily miss if you weren't paying attention, it's well worth the drive, which for me was only 10 minutes from our hotel. We arrived 'late' by donut shop standards (close to 11 am) and you could tell selection was picked over. What was left, however didn't disappoint. Even with mask on (for those who read this years from now, the mask was a COVID-19 requirement) the little shop smelled delicious. Be warned, drink a bottle of water before you come in to take the edge off your hunger, because if you don't, you'll end up making irrational decisions, like buying 7 donuts for 2 people. I really wanted chocolate donut holes, but they were out, so I settled for 2 full-sized glazed, a red velvet, 2 puffy sugary things that reminded me of grandma's ole 'fried dough', a glazed blueberry, and a monster-sized cinnamon honey bun. Despite my sugar stupor, I can report that each was fresh, soft, fluffy and delicious. You won't be disappointed, but word to the wise, arrive early! read more

My visit to NC has to include a stop for donuts on Saturday morning! Low and behold, Jelly Donuts I discover the heavenly answer to my prayers! Donuts galore! Fresh, fresh, fresh! Wow! So delicious! Totally melt in your mouth! Because it was my 1st time, I asked for a Large Dzn ($17) sample box. This allows for me to choose 12 of just about any size donuts in their huge display case. (Had I ordered the Smal Dzn ($13), there would have been restrictions limiting me to only the smaller (cake?) donuts. It was amazing and fun watching the flavored filling (choose your own flavoring: lemon, raspberry, strawberry, custard, blueberry, icing, etc) being pumped into the jelly donuts! I cannot wait to sample all the different varieties! Bear claws! Apple fritters! Red velvet! Strawberry or blueberry cake! Boston Cream! Cinnamon twists! Chocolate glazed and twists! Cinnamon rolls! Chocolate topped with buttercream is my son's go to order, and my daughter changes it up between the bear-claw, apple fritter, and Pumpkin Spice (when in season). Great value, quality and service! I enjoy stopping here Friday afternoons on my way to Charlotte. They still have a good variety in the afternoon. The employees are helpful and friendly. The inside is small and plane, I have yet to sit and enjoy my monster donuts there. I really like the way they serve their filled donuts: order the donut bun, pick your filling, and they fill it right then and there.
