I truly love their pizza and I always order from them and go there and everything but I'm gonna be honest that to go for the Caesar salad was extremely disappointing 1. The lettuce is so big u need to sit and chop it. I get that's the vibe but they also forgot to include UTENCILS ( I don't get how it's normal to forget utensils on a to go order) so I was legit eating giant lettuce in dipping sauce. 2. We went to Pizzana in Brentwood for a very lovely Valentine's Day lunch and from the moment we walked in, it just felt right. We were seated immediately by the sweetest hostess and presented promptly with menus. No waiting, no confusion. Just easy and welcoming. They had a special Valentine's menu featuring heart-shaped pizzas, so of course I had to. It was giving festive but still chic. They were also running a special for their pasta of the month, Cacio e Pepe, and let me just say... this was the best I've ever had. Creamy. Cheesy. Perfectly coated handmade pasta with that ideal peppery bite. Not one complaint. I will most definitely return just for that dish alone. Now the pizza? Exactly how I like it. Mozzarella. Sauce. Thin crispy crust. And nothing less. No soggy middle, no overload of toppings. Just balanced, classic, and done right. Definitely worth the calories. I paired it with a mango margarita that hit just right and took a slice of red velvet to go because why not extend the joy? We really enjoyed our entire dining experience. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now but it's kinda far from me but when I realized it was on my home the other day I decided to stop by. I had just come from a birthday party so I wasn't too hungry, but let me tell you, that changed as soon as I tried the pizza. I ordered the Cacio E Pepperoni and it was delicious. The ingredients tasted very fresh and high quality. I also tried the Italian IPA which had a fruity aroma and flavor. I will definitely be coming back to try their other pizzas and the Cesare Salad. We love the pizza at Pizzana. It is always great. The place is always clean the service is wonderful. It is very pretty and we often eat there. This time we did take away. It was perfect. This is Daniele Uditi's place and is recommended by Michelin. This pizza is Naples type pizza, but they go out of their way to get great sourced toppings. The signature "slow dough" is meticulously prepared and allowed to ferment for two days. This gives a light crust but still sturdy enough to pick up with one hand. They have the best toppings. Don't let my photos fool you. My husband took of a bunch of my toppings and left me with just a few, which is best for me. They never skimp on toppings. You will just love it. Their pastas are also great and I usually get one when we dine there. The Creste alla Vodka, Pappardelle alla Bolognese and Spaghetti al Pomodoro are all great, it just depends on your mood at the moment. We also love their salads. The arugula salad with, spinach, shaved fennel, lemon zest, pine nut, parmigiano, lemon citronette is my favorite, but they also make a great chopped salad. And here, never miss dessert. They have their own pastry chef and all of it is good. My favorite is the three Panna Cottas with salted caramel sauce and caramelized pretzel and also their Torta al Limone which is the best lemon sponge cake, white chocolate frosting, candied lemon. This place is def a bit on the pricier side, but def on the cheaper side if you are looking for a pasta/pizza place in west la. The ambiance was eating gg. Dim lights, candles, minimalistic decor. This place was so cutie and homey. My friends and I ordered 3 pizzas and 1 pasta and shared. We were a party pf 6, so I def think 3 pizzas and a pasta is a pretty sizeable amount for a filling meal. Pizzana is one of my favorite recent finds for Italian food in LA and I'm already thinking about when I will be back! We made reservations and service was fantastic. Love the vibes of this restaurant and it had a chill, casual vibe especially for that area of LA. We kicked off dinner with some wine and the white cab was refreshing. We went in with the brussel sprouts salad which came with pistachios and slices of apple. So delicious. The star of the show must have been that fried cauliflower with a squeeze of lemon and their secret sauce. And I absolutely loved their pizza! We went with the carniovora and it was light, crispy and enjoyed how potent the tomato sauce was. I used to like Jon and Vinny's but I think Pizzana is at the top for me now. Parking is a little hard but we parked in a lot nearby. We got the Vodka and Diavola Pizza. Unfortunately, they were both pretty burnt at the crusts :( I looked around to see if it was normal and every other pizza around us had significantly less burn spots. Guys I love Pizzana and I love to get it delivered via Postmates with their very frequent BOGO deals. It's genuinely so good and affordable with these deals. However, I feel like it should be known that at least for this location, the indoor seating is pretty small, and unfortunately when I asked about accommodating a group of 12 for a celebration, I learned that they required a $125 pp minimum for peak dining time (7 pm on a Saturday) for 2 hr timeframe in addition to tax and 20% gratuity. I was genuinely shocked at this number, given that 2-3 people can easily split 1 pizza and some apps and get a drink and still be far from this $125 number. I thought this was an upscale casual spot, but with these numbers I am not so sure. They also offered a 8:30 pm time for $75 per person, but given I could book a meal for 15 people at a similar location with no order minimum I really was surprised and disappointed. They also have a $25 pp cancellation policy (which I understood as if someone from your party can't make it last minute, you are charged $25 for each person absent) and they ask to hold your credit card for reservations of 5 of more to enforce this policy. Perhaps they have gotten burned in the past but given that we ended up spending over $500 for our group at an alternate location with almost identical cuisine, it seems like a missed opportunity for Pizzana to host groups. My guess is that they make these rules because they assume that in 2 hr with several smaller groups they'll make more money than 1 large group, but this is not always true. Friendly customer service with my inquiry but these rules did not work for us sadly, and I'd imagine it doesn't work for a lot of groups. read more

I absolutely loved the pizza and broccolini I had here! I came here with two friends and was able to get seated immediately at 8pm on a weekday - we did take the last table though so I'm sure it gets packed during rush hour times. We ordered the broccolini, margherita pizza, and diavola pizza. The mixture of whipped ricotta, honey, and chili oil with the broccolini was extremely and unexpectedly delicious. The margherita pizza was pretty good although the diavola was the standout pizza for me! The prosciutto and honey on the diavola pizza was an addicting sweet and salty combo. The dough on the pizza tasted so fresh as well. The pizzas are super thin though and need lots of support and love while consuming them. :) We also ordered Diet Coke for $4 a small cup. I was bothered at how little they gave, it was served in a small glass full of ice. There are no free refills, you have to pay another $4. I would've appreciated if they just gave me the can because the amount they give you probably equates to 1/4 of a can.. Pizzana would've been 5 stars for me if it wasn't for this upsetting situation ;( I will still be back for more of their tasty pizzas and broccolini. The food was absolutely phenomenal! We had the salad of the month, the Cariulina, and it turned out to be a perfect choice, the flavor of the charred corn mixed with the shaved Parmesan was to die for. The focaccia was fresh baked and amazing where paired by a side of the delicious prosciutto. We opted for the cacao e Pepe pasta and it did not disappoint. For dessert I had the tiramisu, which was decent, but the pièce de résistance was my husband's panna cotta...it will definitely be hard to beat. There's a cool patio space that looks indoors but the top is open to the air and there are heaters for if it's chilly. The drinks list is great, there's also mocktails! Went for a seasonal drink called winter wine, which was a cab sav with fruity additions, basically a delicious sangria. There are many apps and salads to choose from and you can't go wrong. Loved the broccolini, which had bits of char that were super flavorful and the dollops of ricotta were a great addition. Every pizza was fantastic. There's also very well executed gluten free crust as an option! My favorite pizzas I tried were the Cacio E Pepe and the Funghi, both very savory and vegetarian friendly. Lovely experience at this pizza place, with incredibly attentive servers, a fun view of the kitchen staff through the glass barrier, and deliciously fresh food. Be aware that large parties May face a long wait time unless you make a reservation and parking can be tricky. We ordered three pizzas and two antipastas for a group of five and it was the perfect amount. The artichoke was out of this world: The meat of the artichoke on the bottom was creamy and had a sharp taste of lemon, which was a delicious contrast to the crispy leaves and aromatic pine nuts on top, but the intensity of garlic overall enticed me the most. The broccolini was slightly spicy, balanced by the smooth cream dollops and crisp melted parmesan. It was cooked perfectly with a tender bite. As for pizzas, the diavola was the showstopper for me because the spicy salami was well balanced with the sweet honey and toasted walnuts. This is some of my favorite pizza in all of LA, which is quickly (in my opinion) becoming a pizza city. So many great options all around! Pizzana stands out because the quality of all the ingredients is so high, the crust is perfectly fluffy and crisp, and their combinations of flavors are insane. The Cacio e Pepperoni is the pizza of my dreams! But I also love the Diavola for something spicy and the Neo Margherita is a sleeper pick that's definitely worth trying. The gluten-free dough is super good too! They recently updated it and it's actually better than ever. You really can't go wrong here. I've also gotten some of the veggies like the Broccolini and Cesare Salad and they're all good picks if you're looking to lighten up your meal a bit. The servers are also attentive and friendly, and the space itself is a nice spot for a little upscale dinner that's not too pretentious. read more

I love this place. The Diavola pizza is to die for and there was a point where I was eating here once a week just for this pizza. I am not a fan of the shallots on it but the honey pairs extremely well with the spicy meat. It's addicting how delicious it is. Give this place one try and you'll be as obsessed as I am. This was delicious! I've been wanting to try pizzana for quite a while as I've heard great things. The pizza is amazing. Their crust is next level and the cacio e Pepe flavor is really delicious. I would love to try one of their red sauce pizzas to see how it pairs with the crust. Their cesare was great too, we ordered it with chicken. The chicken was really good although $10 for a small piece. The restaurant was super cute although quite small and very dark. It was also freezing but it was very windy outside so it may have just been the draft. We also ordered the Paloma and a glass of red wine. Both were good although very small for their price. The food here is good but the customer service could use a major tune up. I've been here three times now and customer service was poor all around. It's too bad because the food is actually good. The first visit, our pizza came out about 40 min after ordering. The appetizer came out about 1 hour after ordering. Our server apologized and said the kitchen was backed up. We were understanding. Waters were never refilled. When he brought our check, he handed us a small bowl of ice cream. We figured it was for the wait, but then he said "it was for my other table with a birthday but they left already." Second visit, my friend and I came by on a Thursday evening. There were several tables open but the hosts said they were reserved. We were given a 30 min wait time. We meandered around and returned after 30 min. The host said "I would've texted you if it was ready." Meanwhile, the same seats open when we first arrived remained open. She quoted another 30 min. She said she would text me when the table was ready. After 45 min passed, we bailed and went to an Indian restaurant. As we were wrapping up there, I got a text that the table was ready - 90 min later. Absurd. Tonight was the worst. I called in an order in my way home from work. The host asked if I wanted to pay over the phone. I said "I'm using in kind so you can give me the check number now or I can pay in person, whatever is best." She responded "why don't you just pay when you get here so you can be sure you like it." I accepted. When I arrived, she brought out the pizza and I asked for the check number to pay on in kind. The other host said they don't accept in Kind on to go orders. I asked why I wasn't told that when I mentioned it on my phone order. The girl who took the order said she didn't know what in Kind was and the main host then said "sorry" while holding out the card reader. Eventually, the manager came to the rescue, at which point I'm made to feel like the a$$ hole. But truly I chose Pizanna because I had in Kind cash. I wouldn't have ordered if I knew it wouldn't be accepted. As I was leaving, the woman who took my order said within obvious earshot "she never said that." Way too much drama ... I wish the hosts were a bit kinder and more courteous. The pizza is good but this operation needs some oil. read more

I want to go back to try their other pizzas. The price is kinda steep, but their Cacio Club gives you a free pizza every month with a $25 purchase, which makes it worth it. Just fyi though, the free pizza kicks in the following month - I signed up for the Cacio Club the same day I ate there and I wasn't able to use the benefit yet.
