Small neighborhood Chinese restaurant. The service is always excellent and delivery quick. Food is always fresh and delicious. Their Pepper Steak and Curry Vegetables are both outstanding. Personally, not a fan of their chicken dishes as they are not heavy in sauce and chicken always seems fatty. Best sweet and sour sauce in the area!

    Orange chicken lunch special

This place is my go-to whenever I'm craving Chinese food. It's kind of like a Panda Express, but 10 times better and they have more authentic Chinese food. My favorite plate is their Orange Chicken lunch special. I prefer getting the lunch plate which comes with orange chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. Plenty of food, it comes out fast, and it's delicious. The chicken has real orange peels so it adds a nice tangy taste to it. I love coming here because it's so close to where I work, and it's an affordable and fast meal.

A small little Chinese kitchen. It can get packed when it is during lunch time. But the food and service are great and wonderful.

Just a heads up, this place is counter service, so you order at the front and then grab a table. The crawfish garlic butter sauce actually has really good flavor, but the crawfish themselves weren't very juicy. It tasted like most of the flavor stayed on the outside rather than soaking into the crawfish. If they let the crawfish sit in the sauce longer, I think it would make a big difference. The fried catfish was solid, and the whole wings were good. Regular wings were just okay. Prices are pretty reasonable though around $10/lb normally, and they are running a special of 5 lbs for $45. Overall, a decent spot with potential. If the crawfish were juicier, I'd definitely come back because the sauce itself is actually pretty good!

We received the shrimp & crab relatively fast; perfect texture and flavor. Everything was juicy and easy to peel. Our server forgot our 4lb crawfish order probably because we had been talking flavors etc no biggie it was fixed quickly..... however after our crawfish was rush ordered it came out with dark red shells that were super hard. Generally this is from it being served right after its required boil cook time and NOT soaking for the additional 20-30 minutes needed to soften the shells and soak up the flavor. The crawfish were extremely difficult to peel and many stuck the inside of the shells another indication that it wasn't post soaked. I asked the server to ask the kitchen if our batch had been post soaked or straight from the boiler... he came back letting me know that they told him "well it's the end of the season and that's probably why they're OFF".... this response is utterly insane to me as we eat crawfish several times a week allllllll through the season and 3 places just in last 7 days and they were easy to peel and around the same size as these. It's not the servers fault at all; he offered to bring something else but my husband was already fighting his way through the bag and after the horrible excuse from the kitchen I'm just gonna stop somewhere else on the way home. I'm not ok with wasted food or money as crawfish is a waste when it's stuck in the shells. Please post soak your crawfish as it's such an easy fix. That was the right call. The campechana was the highlight. Fresh, layered, and well balanced. It felt like a grounded ceviche with depth, not just acidity. Plenty of avocado, clean seafood, good heat, and bright citrus. I would order it again without hesitation. The mesquite grilled oysters carried a nice smokiness while still letting the brine come through. The seared tuna was clean, properly cooked, and texturally on point. Service was excellent. I felt welcomed immediately, checked on consistently, and still given space to finish a couple of work calls at the bar. That balance matters when you're traveling. Nothing here felt overcomplicated. It's familiar coastal seafood, executed confidently and well. Not a destination meal I would fly for, but absolutely a place I will return to anytime I'm in Katy. Strong four star experience.

I like to write honest reviews and the reason why this one is so hard is because if I went on service alone, it would be at least 4 to 5 stars. But most of my reviews are about the food, and because of that, the best I could do is 2 stars. I do also want to mention the atmosphere. When we entered the strong fish smell was off putting. It was very strong, so bad that I should have left after the smell almost pushed me back out of the door. But I've been here before and it wasn't bad, and I was really craving some seafood to, I ignored that smell. For appetizers we ordered Shrimp Empanadas Crispy pastries packed with our classic shrimp and creole vegetables. They were eh. I mean, I ate one and that was really all I could do. My friend ate the other ones. For dinner I ordered red fish. It was NOT good at all. Had a strong fishy flavor that I don't like at all. I also didn't eat that. After having such a bad dinner experience we decided to go else where for dessert, and I am glad that we did. I would love for this to be a great seafood place because its close to me. But they've never really impressed me, and this last visit was the worst one.

Because of it's popularity and competitive pricing, this place had a steady stream of people coming in and out. It is a stand alone business in a busy shopping complex so parking can be challenging. This place could be classified as a hole in the wall which isn't a bad thing, but just painting a picture. When you walk in, there's a lobby area that is basically used just to order food and get your drinks and condiments. There's also a hand washing station. Then you have an inside seating area with a bunch of tables packed tight next to each other as well as a patio area outside. Restaurant cleanliness was just ok. We had to clean our own table and staff did their best to clean up after people got up to leave. They do have paper towels readily available. Customer service was ok. The menu is pretty simple here. They have boiled seafood like crawfish, snow crab, Dungeness crab and mussels. You have two flavors to choose from which are Cajun or Cajun garlic butter. You can pick a spice level as well. They also have fried items like catfish, shrimp, and minimal appetizers. If you feel like fried rice, they got that too. That particular day, I wasn't in the peeling mood so I went with the fried shrimp basket. This was a generous portion of fried shrimp and fries which really hit the spot. I liked the corn meal breading on it that was seasoned and gave it just the right amount of crunch. The fries could have been seasoned better, but it was still good. Though I didn't want to peel, my amazing friend peeled one for me and it was delicious. I had instant regrets not getting my own order. You know it's a good boil when you don't really need anything to dip it in and the flavors are just there throughout the crawfish. Overall, a good experience was had. If I am in the mood for some good ole fashion Cajun boil, this will be on my repeat list.

I wasn't too impressed the first time, and this visit certainly confirmed my initial thoughts. For La Lucha's Happy Hour, you get a choice between 2 types of oysters ($1.50 each). These were great - do this on a weekday before 6pm and you should be able to grab a table without a reservation. Barely even after we started eating the oysters, the waitress was already asking if we wanted to order more, instead of allowing us to just enjoy our food without interruptions. The menus they gave at our table were inconsistent and had different menu items. I had to ask for clarification if the redfish was on the menu since it wasn't on two of the three menus given to us. So, quality control was a miss. Rest of the menu... is limited. Everything was so greasy, from the fried chicken, the redfish, and shrimp tacos. * Red fish with pecans - 6/10. The fish did not taste like it was seasoned with salt. It was well cooked, not dry at all, but it lacked any sort of seasoning aside from the butter and pecans on top. * Shrimp Tacos - 4/10. I think I prefer Taco Bell over this one. The shell was greasy, not crisp (felt like it was stale), and I was confused with the combination of American Cheese and shrimp. They also added hot sauce or spicy salsa in the tacos - so a warning if you can't handle spice (not mentioned on the menu). * Half Fried Chicken - 5/10. The chicken was moist. Been here once before and it was quite dry, so I'm glad this was cooked well. You get 2 thighs, a wing, and a drumstick (4pc). Again, there was a lack of any seasoning on the chicken itself & the exterior. Sadly, the sauce that we picked was not the best either - oyster mayo. It would've been nice to try the others, but the half order came with one sauce. The seasonal jam that was available was the peach jam. It went well with the biscuits (half order comes with 2 biscuits, any extra is $1.50). For my people who get cold in restaurants, I would recommend bringing a light jacket since they turn the A/C up.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16. They were tasty. I like Rouxpour and would return. My only negative is that their prices are a little on the high side in my opinion.
