I had ahorrible experience with Neiman Marcus in Woodland Hills! I bought shoes in Beverly Hills store but they didn't have my size soI paid for them and they sent sent me the wrong size. I tried one shoe on on carpet and alas too small. So Ireplaced them in the shoe box returned them one day after I received the shoes to Woodland Hills. The awful manager insisted they could not be returned because they had been worn! Pleasant Neiman Marcus at the Topanga mall, great cafe to shop and dine, great selection of high-end designers, good customer service, and inviting staff. I prefer this Neiman's over the one in Beverly Hills for a number of reasons, one being the customer service, this location get's it. The Beverly Hills location is not quite inviting, very snobby, which always amazes me when these are working people we are talking about here. Beautiful store also, love the butterflies hanging from the sky, so chic and trendy. The only negative I have for this Neiman's is there is no Lanvin, which happens to be my favorite designer, so I have order my Lanvin fix from the Las Vegas store but that's a whole other story. Of the three Neiman Marcus stores I visit with some regularity (this one, Fashion Island, and Beverly Hills), this one is my favorite, despite the fact that I think it may be the smallest. Service is exactly what I like from a high-end department store. I prefer to be left alone, unless I have a lot of stuff I want to try on. If I have a question, I will seek an associate. I know this isn't a popular opinion, as some seem to think a higher price tag automatically equates being waited on, but frankly, I don't want people pushing for a higher commission or trying to sell me stuff that doesn't fit my tastes. When I have needed service here, I have always found the salespeople to be helpful. Regardless of how I am dressed, I have always had good service here. They will start a room for you, check on you once you are in said room, and offer you a small complimentary water. I primarily shop the contemporary Cusp department, though have also made purchases in cosmetics. I've browsed shoes and handbags. If you are dead set on a particular cosmetic or shoe or handbag brand, you might want to make sure they carry it, because the amount of lines they have here isn't as comprehensive as what they carry at the bigger stores. I appreciate this store because it's not as much of a tourist spectacle as Beverly Hills is, the parking is fairly simple, and the store is clean. They don't have as much volume of product, but the items they have are well edited, at least in the Cusp department. They do occasionally have sales, and I've actually found some great clothing deals here. I find service here to be more consistent than the other two locations I mentioned, and they are less pretentious and fake here than the BH location. Those who complain about their prices..this is a high end department store. Prices are the same, for this merchandise, regardless of where you purchase it. Don't knock stores a star or two for not falling in the economic category you desire. Also, they do now accept all major credit cards, which I appreciate. I called in on Saturday for some Chanel shoes that i was interested in buy for my wife's birthday, and a sales person by the name of Suhilla, and im not sure if that is the correct way to spell her name, picked up the call to do my order. After explaining to her that I did not need the shoes until this upcoming Friday she was forcing me that I would have to pay for a overnight fee so that it would arrive by the day I needed them. I tried to explain to her that just the 2 day shipping is fine but she would insist that "NO, WITH THE 2 DAY SHIPPING I WOULD NOT GET MY ORDER ON OR BEFORE FRIDAY AND THAT SINCE IM ORDERING OVER THE WEEKEND AND THE ORDER WILL NOT GET PROCESSED UNTIL MONDAY, WITH THE 2 DAY SHIPMENT THERE IS NO WAY THAT IT WILL GET ME ON FRIDAY". How unprofessional and rude can some some get. After she got over the overnight issue, my shipping and billing address did not match so she asked me that the billing and shipping have to match in order for me to purchase these shoes from her. So I called my bank and changed that also so she cal take my order. After calling her back to complete my transaction she asks for a number that is linked to my credit card and I gave her the phone number that is linked and she turns around and tells me that the transaction is declined because the phone number does not match, which it does...... I called my bank and verified that the phone number is the one I have been informing Suhilla and she is saying NO THAT IS A WRONG NUMBER. Now is 5 minutes to 8pm and they close at 8 so she made sure I call her back before 8pm to complete my order. I tried calling her like over 5 times and she never answered my calls and ignored my message so I left her a very nice message indicating of what I thought of her and that she will see me putting the review on yelp and this is only the beginning of the reviews that I will be putting on the internet about my experience with SUHILLA from the Women's Shoe department in Neiman Marcus Topanga location. Having been born in this country I had never felt so disrespected and treated in such a disrespectful manner as I was today by a manager named Teresa Pelaez. I have no explanation besides racism for the way I was treated. I had an item which I had bought as a gift. When I brought it to return before the 30 days passed, I was told by Teresa that she could not return it because it was final sale. I said surely there is something you can do about this because the gift is unopened, I have the gift receipt here AND I was never warned it was final sale. She proceeded to tell me, "there was signs around for a reason". Excuse me? I had bought over 1000 dollar of clothing that day, many of which were regular price. I do not pay attention to which is final sale and which isn't Because I expect to be warned (which I wasn't). I ask her "You can't exchange or store credit, nothing??" She again said no. I went to customer service. She came down there and continued to argue that it is final sale therefore she will not exchange, return or give store credit. She tells me to "resell" it. I then ask okay can I please know the price of the item so I know how much money I'm losing? She tells me "no, sorry we can't". I say "excuse me? You're telling me you can't ring this tag and tell me how much my item cost?" She goes "nope. Not in our inventory any longer" I look at her and go "really? Because your employee up there was able to pull it up in the system earlier". She then goes "FINE." And rudely hands the dress to the customer service worker who quietly rings up my item and tells me "your item was $95" I look at the manager and go "see how easy that was?" She looks at me with the nastiest expression and goes "Have a nice day!!" And walks off. How dare you treat your customers like this? Is this how Neiman Marcus allows their employees to act? Come here if you don't want the snooty attitudes of the sales associates in Beverly Hills! The people at this Neiman Marcus location are so down to earth, willing to help you get good deals, and have the same selection as the BH location, minus some designers in the menswear department like Lanvin and Givenchy. Nonetheless, the SA's in the cosmetics department are super friendly and not pushy, the sales associates are not constantly following you around the store making sure you don't steal anything (as a brown male, I appreciate that), and they have great sales at the end of fall and at the beginning of summer. Great store! But minus one star for the exorbitant prices...some things they don't discount, even though Barneys or Saks may have it discounted...so make sure to cross-shop at other stores before coming in! read more

Browsing here was a great experience. Usually it can be very exhausting to search for what you want, and having the clothes sectioned by designer really helped because usually one has a specific taste for such things. Every sales associate I came into contact with wasn't just friendly, but made me feel so warm and welcomed in there store, like I was a valued customer rather than someone else just walking through the door and handing over a few dollars. I even got offered a free bottle of water since it was such a hot day out. I ended up not purchasing anything due to fit issues, though one associate did suggest that I order from their warehouse which has more size options, but leaving empty handed didn't make me feel awkward or like I had "wasted" anyone's time. I was bid goodbye with a smile and told to have a great day. read more

Love the location. Bob the Gm is always very friendly and helpful. The sales agent in designer handbags are always helpful in tracking down every bag or accessory you are looking for. Chanel selection tends to be smaller then the other Neimans locations. Prada and Gucci selection tend to be larger and the Louis Vuitton location works great since they can obtain inventory from the stand alone store that's in the mall of the item isn't available at neimans. I only put on the shoe to try it on and put it right back in the box after seeing how big it was, the customer service lady had the eye to tell me it was "not in perishable condition" so that would've meant they gave me a used shoe to continue with. I went their to eat at their café way in the back by the men's department. The lunch was great and in a beautiful outdoor patio. They give huge popovers instead of bread and I asked for seconds on them, they were so good. But, passed on buying a $90 T-shirt while I checked out some men's items. However, although I was wearing gym shorts and an old T-shirt with a little hole in it, I was surprisingly treated like I was royality. I stopped to chat with the lady near the entrance selling perfumes or something on the way out and she was great. She didn't try to sell me anything and our converstion was about her being from Iran, if I recall. Sometimes, I wonder if people who get lousy service are likely to get it often because it's them not the clerks that are the common denominator. I've seen people behave like ugly Americans even here in the United States at the next table in a restaurant or in a store. If you enter an establishment with an 'attitude' you might get one back. I always get excellent service because employees like to deliver it if you are a willing customer. Less so if you have an attitude or feel entitled. Even after I had lunch, I went to find my waiter to thank him for his excellent service even after I left a big tip. He did deliver and I really appreciated it. I had questions about the necklace (which they no longer carry) and she not only took the time to research my question Pia gave me a new jewelry box to put the necklace in. By far the worst shopping experience of my life I went to return a gift that was purchased the previous day and first of all let me say it took Bradley Pierson the department manager 40 min to return it when they did they gave me a gift card with my recite and balance printed on it so went to the woman's department to make purchase a purchase and when I tried to make my payment it said that the gift card that was just given to had a zero balance which was impossible because I had just gotten it they said they couldn't help me so They asked me to call customer services when i did they was no option for gift cards so I went to there customer services in the store and the second I walked in the associate was very helpful until she received a call from sales called and told the associate not to help me that I needed to all the 1800 number thereafter I asked to speak with the manager who's name is Victoria and she said Victoria is not available until I warned them that I was going to leave a review suddenly Victoria became available she told me that she need to speak with the person that had gave me the gift that I had returned and earlier that day I gave them his name and anything els they asked for but apparently that wasn't enough I was in that store for 3 hours trying to figure out what was actually happening they took my returns faked a recite with the balance I was supposed to get and gave me a 1 cent gift card instead and after all they didn't give me either my gift card it the items back ... I left humiliated and exhausted they stole my gift and I left empty handed .... The prices are as exorbitant as expected from a high end store, the service however isn't. Because Neiman Marcus has some exclusive brands, they present themselves as though they have an upper hand, providing an under hand service. For the sales representatives that work there- they are basically Botoxed even in their brains! Inflated and numb! Identical to human carcass- employed by Neiman Marcus! Wow! I just rhymed:). Back to the review- Pathetic employer! More pathetic employees. Zero work ethics. I happen to buy their so called exclusive line perfume "Francis Miason Kurkdjian". I dropped a pretty sweet amount for 4 perfumes. The sales girl gave me some samples. 2 to be exact. She understood my liking and adviced me to use the sample first. I did and hated it. I asked for the same sales girl but she wasn't working there. So another girl helps me after inquiring if I had opened the box. I told her no. As the return was being processed, I asked for a sample of another perfume. Reluctantly she gives me drop for a sample. Stating that she's doing me a favor. I was furious and asked to speak to a manager. After about 15 minutes wait and return still on hold, the manager asked me about "my problem". I told her that I'm dropping over $2000 just for 4 perfumes and when I asked the sales girl for a sample and she's giving me half the size of a penny. The manager's response was that the sample is provided only when you spend, and not on a return. I told her that I returned 1, the rest 3 are still purchased items. The purchase was made about a week ago. In my disbelief and anger, I showed her the sample and said I don't need this charity and that she herself can use it. She argued with me for good 5 minutes. I said that the sales girl made absolutely no attempt to go to another counter or even bothered to ask another employee from another station to see if they had a decent size spray sample. I received a gift in December which was damaged. I tried to exchange it for the same item. Because I didn't have a receipt (as most recipients of gift do not have) they questioned me. They asked for the name of the person who gave it to me, when they bought it and what her credit card number was. Much to my embarrassment, I called the person who gave it to me. I gave the salesperson the information but was told that the person wasn't in their records. I left the store...feeling like I had damaged the frame myself and was now looking for a store credit. I tried the same thing 6 weeks later with the same result. Yesterday, I went back into the store...my friend was going to be in my home and I wanted her to see the frame this weekend. I waited 30 minutes for them, to once again, find her name in their records...they found it! I waited another 15 minutes for the salesperson to speak with the manager and was finally told that it had been more than 60 days and I couldn't return the item or receive a store credit. The first lady said hi and walked on and this other lady named Inna said she could help. She was not only sweet but fast. I have always had a great experience here but never did a return. She made it fast and easy. I will definitely come back and shop like I always do but I will ask for Inna. She made a return seemless and easy. Great customer service and so friendly. Neiman Marcus? Never again will I order ANYTHING online that needs to be delivered!!!! I bought 2 pair of shoes online on January 2, 2019, which I needed to take to San Fransisco to wear for a special occasion. I just needed one pair for my outfit but I bought 2 to make sure at least one fit and looked good. I received the first pair two days ago (January 8) and sadly they didn't fit. I expected the other pair today (as indicated by my Fed Ex tracking info) and they never came! When I clicked on the shipping info it told me that I wouldn't get it now until this Saturday!!!!!!!! What good will that do me as I'll be away by then! Two things: 1) I followed the tracking of my package and for 2 days straight, it sat in the middle of the Mojave desert and 2) when I spoke to the supervisor at NM in Texas she said that this form of delivery is always later than others they use.
