I have been a Neiman's customer for decades with such superior merchandise and customer service provided always. I was recently invited to an Amouage event . I was very shocked by a rude and very unprofessionally dressed with an open cleavage employee named maybe Robi not sure. . She showed me Amouage's perfumes while she was using street slang and offensive language that was making me very uncomfortable while I also heard her and another employee bad mouthing someone named (Mona) I just couldn't wait to get out of there she was pushy I just felt so awkward. That was not what I expected from Neiman's. I will be shopping in Beverly Hills from now on for my fragrances not to be in that kind of environment read more

It was time to add to my fragrance collection and I certainly came to the right spot. I had such a positive experience working with Jeremiah. I thought I knew I what I was after but after sharing my likes and dislikes Jeremiah's recommendations were spot on. Im a fragrance enthusiast, and usually shop at Bloomingdales, within good reason, because I ordered a fragrance online through Neiman Marcus, and opened it, and found that the fragrance was defective, specifically santal blanc from van cleef and arpels, instead of smelling like fig, it smelled like nail polish remover and just rancid, I don't know what conditions it was stored in, but I picked up in store, when trying to return it, 4 days later, I was met with the associates telling me the online is different than the store and they can't return opened products, but your product was defective? For $285 anything should be in good condition, as you expect to purchase it. We had to call customer service and were met with a rude associate over the phone, that needed verification that the product was bad, which that's fine but there's just a lot of hurdles for a faulty batch and condescending attitudes. read more

I was at this mall for first time as we had a beautiful Sunday brunch at Red O. I didn't even know there was a Neiman here until buddy walked me there. It's an older location but seemed well staffed. The first floor was mostly cosmetics and fragrances. It's the holiday season so it was bustling that Sunday afternoon. Friend wanted to check out some male jackets so we went to the 3rd (I think) floor. They have quite a few men stuff on sale here. We were approached once and asked if we needed help which I appreciated. The women's restroom was amazing. So spacious, clean, and just easy. We went back down to purchase cologne for him but we didn't have time to wait for the nice girl to help us as she was busy helping others. No biggie as it was understandably a busy weekend before Christmas. I was impressed with this location. They weren't as pretentious as the San Diego location. I received such excellent customer service from Bailey! Very impressive how she juggled a few (somewhat demanding) customers at once, all while being genuinely kind, pleasant, helpful, professional, and articulate. Couldn't help but notice one customer in particular being a little curt, and Bailey handled it with such grace. While I was wandering around the section, waiting for my turn, she managed to briefly step away a few times to find me and remind me that she hadn't forgotten about me (which I thought was a nice gesture). Bailey also went to great lengths to secure the very last an "out-of-stock" size for me! Normally I've shopped at the store next door, but am now a Neiman Marcus convert! This store is not the way it used to be. Client service was 5 stars always. Today I went to curbedside Pick up and while they told me they were going to call me back, instead of bringing me my merchandise right away, I never got that call and instead I had to go into the store myself to search for my purchase. So much for a "Pickup" Curbside service. Then to add injury to insult, I went to the perfume department and ask the only two women there, whether they had Shalini perfume. One of the women (Irene is her name apparently), just nodded here head dismissing me as if I was interrupting their conversation. Last time I checked it is through purchases (from us, clients) that these unresponsive folks get their salary. Please change your attitudes; there is always Sacks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale's and other places one can have an a better experience than NM! I live in NYC and haven't seen my aunt who was just diagnosed with cancer and lives in Newport. A week out from Christmas, I order her a luxury cashmere sweater as I can't hug her. NM is close to her house so I call the store directly and have the shopper check stock and am told yes, item in stock and will be delivered to her before Christmas no problem, note, purchased, done and phew! I get an email on Christmas Eve at 4:15 NY time with an enthusiastically titled "Update!" And informed that my order has been cancelled and is out of stock - 5 days after it was purchased, and just in time to leave me with zero alternate gift options, booby prize: 10% off! What Luxury! I respond to the 'text us' option and am told: "We appreciate your patience, the estimated wait time for the next associate is 13 hours" That would be a no, then 'Call Us' and get a polite and unsurprisingly robotic response that there's nothing that can be done. And voila, that's my premium shopping experience at Neimans. I highly suggest this retailer for: 1. Broken Promises. 2. Indifferent Service. 3. Guaranteed Disappointment. A suggestion to NM. You're out of an item, it happens. Assuming you know about this little holiday called Christmas and that people might rely on you for things, let your customer know in advance so they can figure something else out. Better yet, upsell them to a more expensive item that can be delivered in time (that used to be called service and/or creative problem solving). Also, sending an email on Xmas eve is lame. Customer service can't get any worse than this. Shopped at men's department on 7/29/2023, overall pleasant experience. Problem happened when I asked about an availability of one T-shirt. They didn't have it on hand but they said they can ship it to me so I paid for the item and ordered for shipment. Few days later I didn't get any update for shipment so I called, they said it will ship with in 24-48 hours. 2 days later, I called with no update, and they said the order has been cancelled because it went out if stock. I didn't get any notification of that before I called, but I said okay and asked for a refund. They said only the department I placed an order with can process the refund, they redirected me to them, no one answered, so they said someone will call me back. I called literally everyday since because no one would give me a return call, and each time I call they say the same thing. Someone will call you back. Today is 8/14, they told me the order has been cancelled on 8/4. Since then, I've been calling everyday just to get a refund for an item that has been cancelled. I never had to call multiple times begging for a refund. In-store shopping experience has been good, but they need to fix this ridiculous order/refund system. read more

I finally get the email at 5:21, I call the store and pick up is only available until 5 -_-. I've spoken to other customer service representatives over the phone to amend this situation and they have not been helpful at all. I love Neiman Marcus and have always been a loyal customer. However the staff at the Chanel Make-Up counter are so rude and condescending that I might never go back. The "make-up artist" was the absolutely worst along with the sale manager behind the Chanel Counter. I had to bring back a Chanel eyeliner because they sold me the wrong color, and they were beyond rude in front of other customers and refused to give me a box for the new one or a sharpener. The other women who were waiting at the Chanel make-up counter were equally horrified by the Chanel make-up staff and made comments about their horrible customer service. Truly out of this world rude. Do not buy Chanel make-up from Neiman Marcus - go next door to Bloomingdales or Nordstrom where they treat customers well. read more

Super disappointed, I had a horrible experience. I was buying 8 bags yes 8 bags. 6 Christian louboutin bags and two dolce and Gabbana bags. Lucas was awful. He told me it was a nightmare to get me bags. Who says that? I am spending $5,000 and you are telling me it is hard for you to do your job? What a joke! The entire experience was awful. I am never buying from this store again. He charged my card too many times and it said fraud alert and he couldn't find three of the bags but then did again. He is so unorganized. I decided to not get three of the 8 bags because of him. They still charged me for an extra one. I had to call to have it taken off. It gets worse I don't know how. I can't even make this up! I get a bag with a huge scratch on it and I have to keep it because it's final sale. Can you believe they made me keep a bag with a huge scratch? I added the photos. You can clearly see how rude he was to me and I was not rude back. I do not treat people that way. You can see the scratches on the bag. I called they wouldn't help me to return. I was on the lookout for a particular perfume from Parfums de marly. I had already purchased Delina exclusif but wanted to smell the difference between the original Delina and Delina la Rosee. I didn't realize that the store was about to close but The lady behind the counter was happy to help us. I asked to smell the two scents and was glad I purchased Delina exclusif instead of the original Delina. After smelling Delina la rosee it had a lighter smell and more rose notes. The dry down of the Delina bothered me, it had a tartness to it that reminded my friend and I of something that would claw you. I made a quick decision with the Delina la Rosee, unfortunately they didn't have the 6 sampler set from Parfums de Marly I was also searching for but I was happy to get what I wanted. It was jarring when I was purposely told patently incorrect details about the items like how Leonardo da Vinci happened to invent the fragrances centuries ago. The young man with curly locks and gorgeous eyes has no shortage of energy but should direct it in a more constructive way. Intentionally sassing potential customers and patronizingly repeating my name mid-conversation a couple of times. I was dismissingly sent off commenting that "I had a lot of research to do". We were actually just passing through here on our way to Nordstrom and of course I had to walk by the shoes and they were having a sale. Who doesn't love a designer shoe sale. A lady by the name of Jan D. helped me look for several pairs. Her customer service skills were extremely on point. Very good at understanding sizing, fit and excellent at making suggestions based on what that particular customer is looking at. Very intuitive. I really enjoyed my shopping experience because of this lady. I ended up with three pairs of shoes, two of them on sale. Prada white ankle boots, Prada tennis shoes, and Brunello Cucinelli beautiful wedges. I included a photo of two of the pairs. The wedges are just exquisite. I have to say, Neiman Marcus never disappoints with their chic boutique and excellent customer service. They always have a great shoe and purses collection which as you know, usually, any woman with a pulse, just loves. I was previously unaware about their fragrance return policy since there isn't much information located online, so decided to come in store. Upon bringing the bottle to two women, Afi & Michelle working at the Creed fragrance desk, they inspected the bottle showing disgust on their face, then laughed while telling me "you can't return this". "it's used", sarcastically. I don't have a single issue paying a fee for returns, no return policies, or any return policies. I am happy to keep the item, but was left treated like trash. The customer service is non-existent for a luxury department store. You get better customer service at WalMart. I purchased 4 shirts. Two were in stock and the salesperson said he could ship me the other two. I said fine. He said they would arrive in two days. One shirt did arrive in 2 days. The other shirt, I guess it got lost in space. I have called the Fashion Island store 3 times with a promised return call and no one has yet to return the call. Now that is great customer service. These were not $5 shirts. They cost over $1600 for the 4 of them of which I only have only 3. No wonder they filed bankruptcy. I will never return.
