Came in on a Friday morning and it wasn't too busy. The cafe feels like you're stepping into someone's home. It was my first time and the worker was so helpful in helping me choose a drink. I tried the shiro and caramel mac nut cold brew. Both were great and had just the right amount of sweetness. Cold brew wasn't too acidic. We also got the bottled drinks and they were too sweet for my liking, but liked how they had many flavors.
May 21,2026 -Thursday Only reason it's a 4/5 because of the following, -Parking (we did get lucky since we got a spot right out front) ; coin/card operated meter -Flavor I wanted was SOLD out ; although online referenced we could order Overall everything I did order was 10/10, creamy & just the right amount of sweetness. (I prefer my drinks sweet) The cashier was helpful which they allowed you to do samples before I decided which drinks to order. We live on Maui but was just visiting home for graduation season. Which is why we ordered to go bottles to last throughout our stay BUT it is labeled with expiration date which is about 1-week. It is a cute little place very limited space but they also have outdoor seating. For sure coming back whenever we're back on Oahu. We decided to stop here since it was recommended by one of our family members.
My favorite vibe! First of all, please be warned, parking and seating is extremely limited and yet, I've made countless illegal turns on Liliha, trying to snag a parking spot. May not be worth the ticket but worth the wait for a stall. If you'd rather not have to worry about all that, you can also find them on Farmlinkhawaii.com You can support local farmers AND have their coffee delivered to your home. Sometimes I stock up for the week with their convenient on-the-go bottles. But when I came able to get a seat, I'll enjoy one of their beautifully crafted flavor bombs. Take your pick. You can't go wrong. They also have non-caffeinated drinks for the kiddos.
So bomb! This was definitely my favorite coffee of the trip. Got the toasted coconut and the flavors were soooo good, and the coffee quality was amazing. Shop is super cute, and the barista even let us try a few before we bought our bottles to make sure we liked them. Will be back every trip.
Glad i got to try neko koneko out! Its a really nice but tiny cafe. the decor is spot on and feels really nice to just sit there and relax. The drink that i got was the blueberry coldbrew. It hd a nice strong coffee flavor despite also getting the fruit flavor out really well. Looking forward to trying more drinks here!
I've spent a lot of money here lol. I even ordered a bunch of jugs for a party I threw. No regrets. It was a hit! No matter the person, anyone can find a drink they like from Neko Koneko. That's just the type of place it is. Less sweet drinks, very sweet drinks, caffeinated, non-caffeinated, teas, coffees..! You got it! And they have some food too--haven't tried it all but I've definitely liked what I've had. I need to try the pastry/sweet items though. If it's nice weather it's fun to sit on their little patio outdoor area, but the inside is such a vibe. I would totally do work here. Just a bummer that it's so popular, there's always someone sitting down! Shucks. One day. But happy to see them so busy. This is the exact type of cafe I love!!
I was looking for coffee or tea after running an errand in town. Neko Koneko came up on Yelp with great reviews and was close to where I was in the Liliha area so I decided to head over. But uh-oh!! Just a heads up because this cute little cafe is street parking only. I got super lucky and scored the stall right in front of the shop (there's 3 stalls) but not sure what I'd do next time if there was no street parking close by? Anyway, once I got in there were menus right by the door which was convenient & they were quite extensive with a in-store & bottled menu! I spent a few minutes looking at it because everything sounded SO delicious. After about 5-7 mins of deliberation I decided on 3 drinks -- 2 of which I'd take home & drink in the coming days.... I literally wanted everything on that menu though! I ordered the Yuzu Sparkling Matcha to drink, and the Hojicha Latte and Kinako to take home in bottles. Yuzu sparkling matcha was very refreshing over ice and hit the spot if you're a yuzu lover like me. I also loved the richness of the hojicha latte too. I'd definitely order that one again because I also love hojicha. One more thing is...The bottled menu seems expensive, but for $9-11 per bottle you can actually get 2 normal sized drinks poured over ice at home which isn't so bad when you think of it that way? If I can score parking next time I'll try the Denki Kuro and Strawberry Matcha Latte! If I cannot find parking on Liliha, then unfortunately I'll have to pass (which is my primary reason for only 4 stars). But perhaps my tip would be to get there earlier on a Sunday because that's when I went & didn't experience any problems with parking or a long line!
Cute Japanese coffee and tea shop in Liliha! I pass this place often and always wanted to try it while heading to work. I finally got a chance to check it out. Note there is only street parking. It is a small quaint cafe that features matcha drinks, cold brews, lemonades, and light pasties. The decor is super cute it reminds me of being in Japan. There is a large screen that features a Japanese DJ and the music is eclectic and vibey! The staff are also super friendly and you can earn points for your purchases. They sell pre bottled teas and coffees or you can have a drink k made for you how you like it in-store. They also have an in-store special drink menu. I ordered 2 matcha lattes lightly sweetened and a matcha loaf. The matcha was delicious! You can tell the matcha is of great quality! The matcha loaf was also delicious! It was quite large too. It had a nice matcha flavor. Can't wait to come back and try other drinks!
So recently, Hōʻiliʻili Market & Deli on South Beretania St (next to Mini Garden) also sells a good selection of Neko Koneko drinks. I was pleasantly surprised as Neko Koneko is farther to get to for me. Sadness, they no longer sell my favorite black sesame (kurogoma) drink.... they still have a lot of good drinks, but my fave is long gone.
Haven't been here in a few years, but it was just as good as I remember it! Super cute cafe and super friendly service. Drinks are also all nondairy which is such a relief for those who can't handle the lactose... they let you sample things if you like but everything I've tried is good! Only difficult thing is finding parking which is sparse and only metered on the street.
If you like oat milk with your drinks, this place is for you. I believe all of their drink is oat milk based, but very subtle. Staff were friendly and let me try a bunch of their coffee. Their ube coffee was very good, and the strawberry milk was like pocky in a drink. I ended up with strawberry matcha but theirs are more like strawberry milk matcha. The inside is cozy and very cute.

Came in with my family and was greeted with warm welcomes! The inside is fairly small but feels very homey and comfortable. The menu has a great range of drinks depending on what you're feeling. Would definitely come again on my next visit. Delicious drinks. read more

Super cute and cozy cafe. My favorite drinks were their Blueberry matcha and their iced Ume tea! My only downside was the wait time to get your order took forever each time I came. It took 15 minutes to get a bottled ume tea with a warmed bread, so wouldn't recommend coming here if you are in a rush. Other than that eveything I tried was delicious! read more
Parked right outside since I was picking up a sandwich from Bella banh mi, street parking. But I had no coins!! So I walked in to buy a drink and as I pulled out a 10, the cashier said they're cashless :( Drinks are a bit over priced and have a loooooot of ice. I got the mango iced tea. It was pleasant, tasted kind of like a mango calpico without the tang. It has oat milk, so I'm not sure why it made my stomach hurt. Not really worth it. read more
A small and cozy coffee shop, I ended up trying a blueberry coffee (forget the name) and it was an extremely satisfying pairing - my friend got the Kuro Goma and a few other coffees to bring back, and they tasted pretty great as well! Immediately walked in and I was obsessed. It's cute, cozy and very welcoming. The worker was very sweet and very kind and very informative since it was our first time. Was able to try samples of the bottle drinks and I knew their match latte was the real deal. Will be coming back for sure! read more

This place is such a vibe! I'm a sucker for cute coffee shops. The aesthetic is on point and makes me want to jump on a plane to Japan lol. They offer a selection of flavored oat milk and some mixed with cold brew. My favorites were the Melon and Matcha! The Melon is like drinking a Melona ice cream. They also offer in store specials, I tried the BLACKPINK Drink (strawberry with caramel drizzle), and the Borahae Blueberry Latte. The blueberry is definitely one of my favorite coffee drinks I've had. The blueberry flavor is subtle and it's just perfect. read more
Little quaint shop nestled in Liliha that offers a plethora of hot and cold coffee and teas, along with desserts. There are two tables in the shop where patrons can enjoy their drinks while chatting with friends or working on laptops. The tables have cute Japanese games and books. The little plants throughout add to the homestyle feel. The comfy ambiance with large screen TV makes for a nice spot to visit. The shop is very clean, including the kitchen area and the refrigerator that stores all these wonderful specialty drinks. We tried many samples before choosing what to order. I ended up choosing the cold brew Shiro which was delicious! The ume infused tea will be my next one to enjoy with a splash of vodka! Parking on Liliha is a bit of a challenge, but sometimes you get lucky to find parking in front of the shop. It's worth the walk if you don't find parking nearby. Price point is not too bad considering they use good quality ingredients that blend so well together, as well as the containers that can be repurposed. We need to support local businesses and so absolutely yes that I will be returning again and again. read more

I've passed this cute spot multiple times on Liliha St. Parking is limited to street meter parking, with 3 directly in front of the store. You can preorder for same day pick up. According to their website you can place orders starting at 7am for same day pick up. Preorder for Saturday pick up opens on their website site on Tues and they have other items that are not on their regular menu. I was quite surprised and please with the quality and flavors of their drinks. My faves and go to are Honey Cinnamon Latte or the Maple Latte. In general, flavors like those aren't common in Hawaii so of course as soon as I saw them I just had to get them and they definitely did not disappoint. Space inside is limited to 2 small tables. I would be surprised if there's a table open for use. Someone is always sitting there. Oh! Bring your own bag if you decide to purchase a few bottles. They have boxes but no bags. read more

When there's a line before they open you know it's good! The kid found this spot on TikTok so we made the drive. Cute little spot that is like a Pressed but for coffee. They have a cooler full of ready made bottled coffee...and you can ask for cups of ice. One bottle is enough to make 2 drinks. I also got the ume iced tea and it was the perfect taste of ume...not too overpowering and not sweet. The caramel macnut was perfect!! read more
Stopped at this place on our way to the North Shore. It was a cute little hole in the wall place. They make the cold brew themselves and it comes bottled. It also has a bunch of cute Japanese cats decorated every where. We got the Mocha cold brew. I thought it was a little bitter so I would get something else next time. But the in house special of cold brew with oat milk was the better choice. I added in their house made vanilla syrup and it was magical. read more

Cute cafe and friendly staff! The drinks are delicious and dine-in is so aesthetic! My only complaint would be parking!! There are only 3 street parking stall markings on a busy road! I would suggest bringing 2 ppl so that one person can wait in the car while the other goes inside to order because you have to be very lucky to find parking. read more

This is probably my favorite coffee place in Oahu! They have variety of selections to choose from. The place is dainty but really cute. The staff's very friendly! I've tried most of their drinks and all of these are delicious! The drinks are really creamy and flavorful. I love that they offer a cup of ice on the side and that you get the full 16 oz of drink that you're paying for. I always recommend this place to people who asks me for the best coffee place! read more
Finally came here! It is located around the corner of Liliha st. Very close to Liliha bakery. It was an easy to find a street parking by the store on Thursday morning. When I opened the door, it reminded me of 80's Shimokitazawa in Tokyo! I was about to order online but I wanted to see how they were so I just walked in. I couldn't choose which one I wanted to order and the lady asked me to try samples. Ended up, I got Chairo latte, Matcha latte(Matcha is from Japan) and Hojicha latte by bottle. And Goma latte by cup. I chose Chairo cuz of less sweetness. They have some beautiful plants, books. I found Japanese magazine!! I really like all design in the store. The lady at cashier was so nice! Definitely I go back and get melon and strawberry next time! Highly recommended. read more

It was recommended to me by an acquaintance of mine to check out since I've never been and it is definitely a great spot to check out. It is a hidden gem located up Liliha St. Parking is very limited as it is street parking. They conveniently offer online orders for same day pick up if I'm not mistaken, so if you're in a rush and looking to just grab and go, that might be the best option for you! I love that they offer samples before you decide on which cold brew to purchase. Definitely coming back if I'm ever in Hawaii again! read more

Who knew melon and strawberry almond milk could taste so smooth? As an Asian with slight lactose-intolerance, I'm so glad NekoKoneko brought this concept to Hawaii. I can finally enjoy flavored milk! Since the cafe is so young, there's not much yet. But what they do have is worth visiting over and over; you're gonna run out of that melon milk fast if you love it as much as I do! I'm not a coffee person so I didn't pay attention to any other products. Again, since the cafe is still young I'm looking forward to seeing how it expands it's menu. Currently, the online order system is the way to go to guarantee you get your hands on their drinks because I've heard they sell out, but I walked in around 12:30 and they still had strawberry and melon available (literally the only two things I buy from them). Overall, cute little cafe that's hidden in plain sight with Japanese roots and decor. Parking is hard to find, but when you get a spot, you did it. You can savor your accomplishment inside with great drinks, maybe even read some manga or enjoy what's playing on the screen. There's not many seats, but I wouldn't mind sitting down on the ground to just enjoy the peaceful environment in the middle of busy Liliha. read more
I WANT TO TRY THEM ALL! I finally got to taste the three flavors I got from my first visit and THESE ARE SO GOOD! I got the Caramel Macnut, Ube Latte and Cold Brew "Shiro". Their coffee is definitely on the sweet side but I'm into that, plus they offer a cup of ice if you'd like to dilute it a little or just keep it cold. Service is fast since majority of the drinks are pre-made and in a fridge - easy grab and go.. which is good because parking can be tough with limited street parking. Not sure how often they change their menu because I was able to get their Ube Latte which I didn't see on their Feb 1 menu (I came on the 4th) I guess it's based on availability? Cool they constantly have a variety of flavors. Honestly, the Ube was my favorite flavor from the three SO FAR.. since I'm going to come back have try more lol. Had my friends try the flavors I got and they also give it 5/5. Highly recommend! read more

Neko Koneko, a Japanese-inspired coffee shop in Oahu. Whaaatt?!?!? Always a first time for everything right? This cafe is located at 1658 Liliha St. This is the highlight of this street! You won't miss this cute green exterior cafe. For parking, check my photo below to know about it (when there's a will, there's a way lol cliché much). The interior has one bigger table which can seat a couple of people and there are 2 small drink tables (again, check my photos to see how they look like). No restrooms so if you decide to hang in here, I suggest clearing your bladder beforehand. I love the designs they put here and some cool reading materials too! Love how they put some plants around as well. The cashier was friendly and allowed me to free taste some of the drinks since it was my first time. They have fresh bottled spectacular cold brew drinks to choose from or their in-store drinks (all others have yet to try!) I sampled like two of their drinks (tasted amaaaaazing!!)--and that time I decided to go with the bottled "Kuro Goma" (black sesame). It is oat milk based, using organic coffee and black sesame. The result was just the perfect blend. This automatically made me think, "I will try their other drinks for every visit from now on." No one can stop me from trying their other drinks right? Such a cute coffee shop outside of Waikiki. Immediately fell in love with the vibes and decor of the cafe. Wish I found this place earlier in my trip so I could come back more than once. The ichigo hojicha was my favorite, and it was so creamy and the perfect amount of sweet. The kinako latte was also very tasty with the flavor of the kinako shining with each sip. Located on Liliha Street, this cute little cafe shop offers select teas, coffees, and food items. Visited on a weekday and to my surprise there were quite a lot of patrons. Parking is difficult as there are only two or so street parking spots right in front of the cafe. According to their Instagram, you can park at Little Shingon Mission, and TLC medical center - my friends and I parked at TLC medical center with no issues. For this visit I opted for their bottled cold brew coffee. They offer a good variety of flavors - I decided on the matcha + cold brew and the caramel Mac nut cold brew. The matcha has nice earthy notes that you'd expect from the matcha with the right amount of sweetness. The caramel Mac nut was my favorite out of the two - it is sweet, nutty, and just perfect, period! The packaging for these bottled cold brews are pretty aesthetically pleasing and more than likely contribute to the cost of these drinks as they range from $7.75 - $9.00! Overall, I'd definitely return to try other flavors. read more

Love this little coffee shop located on Liliha street in Kalihi across the street from L&L. When I walked in there were a few people waiting to pickup their pre-orders. The two young ladies worked together to fill orders and tend to the waiting customers. They were friendly and efficient. I liked the small bright shop and appreciated the little seating area set up in the small space. We ordered a few flavors to try; peppermint mocha, maple, orange cream, matcha, and ube. So far I've tried the peppermint mocha and maple and OMG! I totally understand how and why people place orders over $100 at a time. I think it's awesome that they use oatmilk as their "milk" option. I feel like it gives the drinks a creamer texture. The bottles are recyclable and quite refrigerator friendly, with thier slim design. They also have non coffee options but I opted for only caffeinated options this time around. Will definitely be back to try new flavors! Oh and they have a reward program as well! read more

I've been ordering from Neko Koneko ever since they're made to order stage. The quality of their product and their customer service was amazing then and is even better now. Their Honolulu storefront location is a hidden gem. A bit small and sometimes difficult to find parking but it's worth it, trust me. They really make you feel welcomed! They have seasonal flavors and test out new flavors every so often. If you want to sample one before you make the decision to buy a whole bottle, you can ask the cashier for a sample. They also have pop up events with other vendors. The best way to keep up to date is follow their IG or sign up for their emailing list (sometimes they have giveaways and free coffee). The creativity that the team has and continues to cultivate is inspiring and I can't wait for what they come up with next. read more

They only have like 3 spots in front of the shop that's metered & if you go down the street a little more, there are additional metered spots. Coffee drinks in Liliha, Honolulu, Hawaii... I first heard of this small business when my friend, Craig Y. from Torrance, was visiting Honolulu. His cousin had given him a melon drink from Neko Koneko. We even drove past the shop on our way to Liliha Bakery! Later, I saw Kyra K.'s photos and review of Neko Koneko. I made it a point to stop by on a Tuesday because the shop is only open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from noon to 5pm. I arrived early (11:30am) and found a metered parking stall right in front of the building! Soon, a few gals who had been here before stood in line with me. One gal had a list of drinks that her friend wanted her to pick up for her! The other gal said that the menu was on their website - because I mentioned that I couldn't find the menu on their Instagram page. We discussed the preorder option and noted that pickup was on Saturdays. The door opened promptly at noon. I went straight to the cashier and ordered: Toasted Coconut, Honey Cinnamon, Raspberry Truffle, Pumpkin Spice Latte, and Ube Latte. All of these drinks were in recyclable plastic bottles (there's a Hi5 sticker on the bottom of each bottle) in the refrigerator and had Oat Milk (dairy-free) in them. The Ube Latte is the only one that was made without Organic Coffee. If I had ordered Ube CB (cold brew), it would have had coffee in it. Note: the non-coffee drinks are ube, Hojicha latte, matcha latte, melon, Ichigo (strawberry) and orange cream. If you want caffeine, order the CB version. Everything tasted great - for example, coconut tasted like it should, and pumpkin was as expected! Drinks were just-right sweet and smooth (not bitter)! Service was pleasant and efficient. The nice couple handled the line of customers well! The guy took orders while the gal retrieved the bottles from the refrigerator. (She gave me a box for my takeout because it was challenging to carry five bottles by myself... LOL!) The cozy interior was decorated in a charming, whimsical fashion! It was a bright and cheerful environment! I probably will return soon - I'm sure that my nieces will like it! Note to self: get the Hojicha, Mocha, and Orange Cream next! read more
So Matcha qualiTea and a whole Latte love!! Orange it's Berry obviously how much we're obsessed with Neko Koneko and are purrrfectly thrilled that they now have a storefront in Liliha which makes it much more convenient for that pick me up literally. It's all street parking though I've never had trouble finding street parking as there are several nearby including a couple metered parking right in front. This tiny cafe is just adorable with its simple decor with touches of Neko even re-use of their signature bottle with plants, books and a large tv screen with a small table and banquette seating with baskets below to store your personal items really reminds me of Japan with such delightful staff so friendly and willing to answer any questions just starting conversations with them makes you feel like you've know them awhile. For the lactose challenged or myself avoiding too much caffeine the choices here are insane! Their website https://www.nekokonekocafe.com has the complete drink list with what it consists of including information of ordering online if that's what more your cup of tea. If you do choose to enjoy your drink they do offer you a cup of ice and on my first visit I chose to take them home but the next one which I arrived shortly after opening I decided to chill there and brought my own glass and actually recharged my phone with a convenient outlet as I needed it for the rest of my day. My friends invited me to try out Neko Koneko since it's in the area we work and it was the purr-fect place for a pick-me-up! I'd heard of this tea shop from word of mouth but never had a chance to try them due to their hours and location accessibility. Now that they have their storefront in Liliha it was finally time to try their drinks! Neko Koneko offers a variety of coffee, tea, and non-caffeinated drinks. Be sure to check their website or social media as the flavors rotate weekly. For this week's flavors, I was hoping to try the Hojicha Latte but they were sold out so I got the Matcha Latte. I love that all of their drinks are dairy free! The ingredients in the Matcha Latte were matcha, oat milk, and honey. It was a creamy, slightly sweet, and simple matcha drink that I enjoyed. Since my friends and I were dining in, the owner was nice enough to give us a cup of ice for our bottles to pour. She allowed us to put our drinks in the fridge to stay cool until we left. My friends got the Matcha Latte as well plus a few other coffee and non-coffee drinks. We all sipped, talked, and enjoyed the aesthetic of the cafe! The cafe reminded me of a cafe in Japan or out of anime. It's very small, clean, and decorated with cute Japanese decor, a t.v., and aesthetic plants. There's one table to sit at and a small bench area as well. Service was friendly and the woman who helped us was super cool! You order and pay at the counter (no cash) and they grab your drinks from their fridge to give to you. She also told us about their discounted drinks which are drinks made earlier in the week and are reduced due to it. As of April 2023, the cafe is only open from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. With limited hours, they tend to sell out of drinks so be sure to pre-order their drinks for pick-up ahead. They also do deliveries on the other days of the week which is neat! If you're looking for a quality, dairy-free, delicious tea then give Neko Koneko a try! The cafe is lovely, the service was warm, and the drinks were delicious. This addicting coffee pop-up from Mililani finally has a storefront. The storefront is located on Lililiha Street. Ambiance & Parking: The cafe is super cute and features many k pop posters and decorations. It's a pretty small space, so there is limited seating and table space. Street parking only, and there is only limited parking (~ three metered stalls). If it's busy, even the parking near the banh mi shop was taken. Unfortunately, this storefront has limited hours and isn't open every day. They're currently open only Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 12pm-5pm. Sometimes their store hours differ, and you have to check their Instagram for the altered schedules and pickup times. The hours Parking and shop hours is were the cons for me. Coffee: They have their staple flavors but also special flavors occasionally. You can opt to pre-order and pick it up in-store or drop it in. They do sell out, so if you're going I'd recommend going early. They ran out of the classic by 2 pm when I went the other day. Tastewise, I can definitely see why it's so popular. I tried their matcha and hojicha with cold brew, and they were both delicious. I really like how they use oat milk and list all their ingredients on the label. Price: $$ The coffee is moderately priced, especially for using oat milk as their milk base in all combinations Overall, I would recommend trying their coffee but you may have to plan your visit because of the limited hours and parking. read more

First time going here as it was recommended by my cousin that they have the best matcha in town. Agreed! Their matcha latte was very creamy, and the sweetness was just right. My kids enjoyed their strawberry milk and husband enjoyed the ube cold brew latte. Their strawberry matcha was my fave! The service was superb! Being that it was my first time, the staff was great at answering my questions. The place was cute! Parking can be tricky but luckily, we found a spot a few steps away from the shop. Came here on a Saturday and was introduced to this place from friends who was craving for their drinks. What I heard from my friends is that this place was originally supposed to be a cat cafe but covid hit and it didn't workout. Hopefully since they kept the name and are still around they'll eventually go back with their original plan since they have their own shop now. It would be nice to pet some cats to destress after work or school. The ambience of the cafe was very simple and cute to take some Instagram worthy shots. The staff was very friendly and answered every question I had. Since I cant handle too much caffeine, I got their Hojicha latte. I like how it mentions the ingredients on the label. It was very refreshing and smooth and it didn't give me any caffeine headaches. My new favorite drink! The only thing Im pretty bummed about is that the store is not open too long. They're only open on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday from 12pm-5pm. I finish work at 5pm so I won't be able to make it on time. I still recommend you guys to try this place out! I will most definitely come back and try the other latte flavors. read more
