My dad & I were excited to try this juice bar since it seems so popular at other locations and we like smoothies/organic drinks. It's new, so the store's decor is nice (probably my only favorite part about my visit). It reminds me a lot of a loft because of its venting. I liked the cooler/fridge for the online orders, which they kept in nice refrigeration bags. The place gave me downtown LA hipster vibes since the place seems to attract all young people & those who workout. The customer service in terms of interaction was good. The cashier was nice. However, my wait for my drink was WAY too long. My dad got his drink in roughly 10min...mine in 16min. There were only about 3 orders ahead of me, one order finished within 5min. And there were 4 workers making drinks. What I didn't like was the price. 24oz for $8.25? 32oz for $10.25? I believe that's waaay overpriced for drinks. With that in mind, I expected an amazing drink I can only get at Nékter. I didn't. I was surprised at the interesting drink combinations they had. I give them props for having little indicators for recommended 1st-timers drinks. I chose the pink flamingo: it wasn't worth it. It had pitaya (dragonfruit), which was why I was excited. I make smoothies a lot, and I typically judge juice bar drinks based on if it tastes like something I can make at home, which mine did. Overall, primarily due to the long wait & overpricing I didn't have a pleasant experience. If you like hipster LA-ish joints, go for it. But in turn you'll be charged an exorbitant price for a mediocre drink. I suggest to just stick w/ Juice It Up & Jamba Juice. This is more than likely be my last visit to Nékter. read more

I must spend like 17 percent of my paycheck at this place because I love their juice so much! They have wonderful smoothies, juice blends and acai bowls for those of you who are trying to stay clean and healthy. There is also an app that lets you get a free item of any size after hitting ten purchases. In addition, I've tried their two day juice cleanse and felt as if it really refreshed my body (the first day is the hardest, just keep up with it). I recommend this place to anyone who is looking to kickstart their health in a positive manner. read more

I have been to many Nekter, this one is always clean and smelling fresh. I always receive great products and service from this location. It is unfortunate that the grab and go has been out of service for so long :/ the girls are always friendly and remember me by name and what my usual order is. Checked this place out after hearing people rave about it and honestly I did not like it. I don't know if it's the bowl I got, I got the açaí berry bowl and it was watery and lacked flavor. The açaí it self was the consistency of soup and keep in mind it was 8pm and cold so no it was not the heat melting it. Also bought a chia pudding cup and it tasted on the stale side. But the manager informed me that I could add blueberries to the topping for 1 dollar and she could remove the strawberries for free. This place is one of the best juice and acai bowl spots in Riverside. I've tried the acai peanut butter bowl, the Graviola bowl, the ice cream, some of the cold-pressed juices, the chocolate muffins, and the protein bites. All of the food has tasted really fresh and delicious. I always feel a little more energetic after I eat here. This place uses quality ingredients and you can taste and feel it after you eat it. I was very unimpressed. When I told the person at the register I had never been and asked what was good she pointed at the sign and said that the ones on the sign marked were popular. Did not follow it up with a personal recommendation or a smile. (Her name was Hope.) The restroom was gross (excrement on the toilet seat, grunge on the walls, floor, and seat.) They advertise lower prices than the actual cost and when called out simply state that the pricing is old. The staff is always rude and try's turning away business constantly because they're too busy with online orders. Now I see why people order online. Also, it's against the law to advertise pricing and charge $20 more. I contacted corporate and they didn't seem to care about California law. I go there all the time and literally never complain about the poor service and the staff constantly complaining about having to make my juice cleanse. By the way, all they ever do is walk around the counter and grab the juices off the shelf and put them in a bag. It shows that you never have management in and when you do, she lets you struggle. I always came to this spot for grab and goes. I love their charcoal lemonade and strawberry Pitaya super protein smoothies. However last week I came in and I got two grab and goes and ordered a acai smoothie and while I was still sitting in my car I found a piece of plastic in my mouth from the smoothie. I then went in to tell the girls but I didn't want to make a big deal about it so I just told them how I found it and to be more careful next time. The most disgusting thing after was that I found a second piece of plastic in my smoothie while at work and at that point wondered how many pieces of plastic I had drank. The girl must have not removed the acai rapper all the way and blended it up with the smoothie. I don't remember seeing a name tag but she had on very short grey shorts. My husband and I ordered an açaí bowl and a smoothie. She kinda tossed my bowl on the counter and said have a good day, and I mentioned that we were missing our smoothie she rolled her eyes went and grabbed the smoothie put it on the counter and walked away. I'm not sure if we were handle like that because of the color of our skin but we most certainly didn't feel welcome. It was my husbands first time stepping into a Nekter and by the way we were treated it will probably be our last. No one should be treated different because of the color of their skin. read more

Nekter has always been my all time favorite! I use to travel all the way to the OC before they came to the IE.... I was so happy to find this location, the girls are ALWAYS so WARM and FRIENDLY. The store is always smelling fresh and the grab and go is always stocked with new products to try. The chia pudding is delicious. I had an banana Acai bowl here. It had all fresh ingredients and it tasted good. The cost was $8.50. It is kind of like a bowl of cerial with fruit, a layer if granola and a layer of frozen fruit stuff on the bottom. I was very excited for this to be opening in riverside. I always get the almond butter bowl, and its always delicious. Ive used the app pretty much every single time ive gone, not including the first time, and they ALWAYS get my order wrong. Like theres only been one time my order has been right, and that was because i made it there before they started my bowl and i had to tell them to make sure they made it the way i ordered (especially since i paid extra for the other toppings). Also, every time ive gone in, the staff has been super rude to me. At first i thought they were just having a bad day, maybe its been stressful.. but they greeted everybody that walked in but me, and everybody else got served right away. When i went to order the very first time, it almost seemed like none of them wanted to serve me. But, i thought nothing of it and just went about my day after. Excellent service and wonderful variety of options here. I've tried their acai superfood bowl for breakfast, their smoothies a couple of times, and their chocolate scoop for a sweet treat once. I really love that all of these options are naturally dairy-free! And the quality of the other ingredients seem really nice, too. I'm sorry but I was really stoked to have a Nekter in Riverside and I don't know if it's because the employees are new. But I came here last Thursday because I just found it they had open the Monday prior, so they were relatively new. I ordered the banana berry acai bowl and got a free smoothie from downloading the app, as the guy recommended this green drink to me. While observing the workers, they literally looked like they had no idea what they were doing. One of the girls broke one of the smoothie machines, and when observing the acai bowls, some were not up-to-par and were messy. After receiving my bowl/smoothie after 15 minutes, the acai bowl tasted literally like a mix of 80% water and 20% actual "organic" substances. I also received my green drink, and I did not like it whatsoever, so I asked to exchange it. Now this is when it gets really weird (this is a true story). So I order the pink drink (I forget what it's called but see my pictures) and I go outside to eat the acai bowl. Then 10 minutes later, I go inside and one of the girls is making my drink. As I was observing, I then see that some of the drink falls on the counter; I assumed that she was going to clean it up, but instead she took her finger, scooped some of the smoothie and tried it from the counter. I was pretty disgusted by that, as I thought that was extremely unsanitary.... I don't even think she saw me see her doing that nor did she know that I was there. She then was about to put the drink inside a mini freezer/fridge at the bottom left corner and then she saw me and was like "oh is this your drink?" I said yeah and she then started talking to me about what I didn't like about the previous drink; she seemed extremely nervous because she probably knows I saw her. I don't want to say her name cause she might get in trouble, but the employees really have to be trained correctly and appropriately. Overall, weird experience. read more
