Stopped in for a few drinks with my boyfriend while on vacation to see him in St. Pete. Really enjoyed the view of the bay and the Skyway! Ordered a couple piña coladas, and sat back and enjoyed the beautiful weather and great atmosphere out on the deck! Much bigger than your usual beach tiki hut, so there was plenty of seating and it didn't feel too crowded. Will definitely be back when I come down for vacation next month, great place to stop in for some drinks and food if you need a bite to eat. Best kept secret of St. Pete as far as quaint beach bars go! This is of course just my opinion, based on my experience of being there for just about an hour. The bartender was really friendly and she made our visit fun and enjoyable. Can't wait to come back!

I'm so torn between giving this place a 2 star or a 3 star rating. I guess 2 star rating because the view is 5 stars all day yet it doesn't make up for the 0 star service and other factors. The worst part is that it has been that way for the past 5 years. Nothing changes there. Drink prices are too high and they have a VERY limited amount of taps - 5? Not a lot of seating and it does get busy in the summertime. Also, there can be a very interesting crowd since it's attached to the motel - think overweight Europeans in really small/tight swimsuits. Do yourself a favor and eat before you go - the food is terrible and comes all the way from the motel kitchen. This place could easily be a 4-5 star bar if they would improve the service, decrease their prices, offer decent food, increase the seating area (near the beach), etc, etc.... Tip: Try not to go during low tide or you're going to be unpleasantly surprised by the stench of drying sargassum weeds along the shore.

Veggie quesadilla. Very oily but it's pretty good!

I really like the Nepa Hut! It is literally a little hut high atop stilts by the water with beautiful views of the Skyway Bridge and coast line. It's not fancy by any means. The crowd ranges from locals to vacationers (mostly European) to beach bums. It is definitely unique. They have a small food menu. Food is prepared at the hotel restaurant (not at the hut) and brought up in Styrofoam boxes. But don't let that fool you, their food is pretty good and the portions are huge. I like the veggie quesadilla! They also have drink specials at happy hour, I know it's $3 wells and wines, and I think $2 drafts (I don't' drink beer, sorry!) They also have Live music some nights. I know Thursday for sure, not sure about the other nights. The service is always pretty good. It does get busy sometimes and there is usually only 1 bartender taking care of the entire place, including the tables inside and out as well as the bar. There are also water sports like Jet skis to enjoy. I believe you have to call the office to book. I am also told they do the Sea Ponies here too, which I really want to try! No boat slips so it would be difficult to bring in a boat, but possibly jet skis or a small boat. Definitely a place to check out! Especially if you enjoy the beachy atmosphere, the Nepa Hut will take you there.

    Late night happy hour!

This is a nice low key spot to grab a drink or two or three! It's not loud and crowded. My husband and I typically stop in for a nightcap after dinner or going out. Brian is one of the best bartenders! He gets my drink right every time. They also have a restaurant downstairs that you order food from and have it sent up to the bar area. The burgers and wings are good. We always have a nice time at The Hut!

I stayed here just just for a night but I was really impressed by this Tiki Bar on the property. It sits up on stilts overlooking the bay with a small beach outside on the deck. I had a simple Corona but Lesly had the signature Rum Rummer. Overall its a super cool spot

Waterfront bar with views - that makes up for a lot of "could be betters" And that's how I arrived at just three stars. There's usually just one bar tender and a small eclectic crowd. Most of us go here for the tranquility and ocean views. The drinks are average at best. Over priced draft beers included. The food is to be skipped unless you can't wait for something better. The food comes from the hotel kitchen and is delivered in styrofoam boxes. Forget about requesting a last minute add on (such as, can I get a side of bbq sauce with this burger?) it won't arrive until you're done eating. That being said, the Hut is a good place to hang with friends and take in an sunset on the bay. Warning: low tides yield big smells

Cute little tiki bar. Thursday night is a lot of fun with the live music. The view is great too.

Awful service!!!! The bartender was rude and was behind the bar eating rather than serving.

I opened the menu and immediately felt like I needed a game plan, a hydration coach, and possibly a waiver. First off, the Black & Blue Burger absolutely bullied me. A blackened half-pound burger with blue cheese crumbles and bacon? That thing didn't come with fries. It came with life advice and cholesterol confidence. Then somebody at the table ordered the Nashville Hot Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, and I'm pretty sure I watched a grown man sweat through all five stages of grief while still saying, "nah this is really good though." The menu reads like a Florida fever dream: Boom Boom Shrimp Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls Deep Fried Irish Egg Rolls Coconut Shrimp with apricot jam A Blackened Mahi Reuben (which sounds illegal but somehow works perfectly) Whoever designed this menu clearly said, "What if every craving in America got trapped inside one building?" And honestly? Respect. The Walkerswood Shrimp deserves its own billboard on I-275. Jamaican spices, lemon, blackened shrimp, Cuban bread... I almost stood up and saluted. Also shoutout to the wing sauces because they have: Mango Habanero Korean BBQ Garlic Parmesan Carolina Sweet Kamikaze I ordered "medium" because I value my ability to continue speaking English. The vibe is peak Florida in the best possible way: TVs everywhere Cold drinks People laughing way too loud Someone definitely arrived by golf cart At least one dad wearing sunglasses indoors And somehow it all works. Bonus points for calling the sandwiches "Sandwedges." That joke alone earned an extra star from me. The service was awesome too. Staff was fast, funny, and somehow completely unfazed by our table ordering like we'd just escaped a deserted island. By the end of dinner we had: sidewinders, sweet potato fries, chili cheese burgers, fish spread, key lime pie, and zero self-control. Honestly, The Deck isn't just a restaurant. It's a full-contact dining experience. 10/10. Come hungry. Leave questioning every salad you've ever eaten before this.

My husband ordered the Fiesta Chili Lime Chicken with sweet potato fries and rice. The fries were good but the rice didn't have much flavor and one of the breasts of chicken wasn't fully cooked. The ambiance was a fun sports bar with lots of TVs. They were able to turn on the college football game we wanted to watch on 2 of the TVs which was nice. The server was super friendly.
