I have nightmares of sitting in the ER, holding her hand as her body turned cold. But I knew I had to honor her wishes and quickly. That's how she wanted it. Heartbroken, I spent hours the Sunday she passed trying to deal with paperwork, absent doctors, and getting mom out of Tennova. She hated that place. I had no idea what i was doing. I came across this company online and sent Miss Erica a message thru the internet. Less than an hour later she called me. The only person to return any message that Sunday. She was so very kind as i cried into the phone. We scheduled a time to meet the very next day and from the moment she and I met, I knew moms wishes would be taken care of. She kept the family informed every step of the way, she was caring and compassionate during one of the worst times of my life. This is more than a job to her. What my mom wanted meant something to her and she gave 100 percent to make sure it was done. She listened and stepped in to help us when the hospital and docs were giving my brother and I nothing but a hassle. She's honest. No hidden fees and costs. As I was the one paying for it all, i couldn't help but appreciate her professionalism all the more. She's even checked on us since moms cremation just to let us know she's thinking of us and that she was here if we needed anything else. That meant more than I could ever say in words. I miss mum so much. She was one of the most interesting and unique individuals I've ever known. I feel so lost without her. To know I was able to honor her wishes thanks to the excellent care of Erica and Tennessee Cremation Care gives me peace and makes these difficult days a little more easier to bear.

So straight cremation (no viewing or service, or urn), total price, is less than $850 (with 5 extra death certs, 8 in total); with an extra 50 miles to pick up in my home town. Today, because the remains are in Jackson Tn and to save on the extra transportation costs, and they asked if we would like to be transferred to their Medina, TN branch; for the same initial price quoted. We have been handed back and forth to multiple staff and managers, probably dealt with minimum of 4 so far. And still no ashes- imagine if we had a burial or memorial planned in the days after the death.

When we knew our son was going to pass away, we contacted Janet "Coco" Montgomery who handled all the details in a kind and compassionate manner. Everything was done for us and in the manner we chose. Coco was in constant contact with us during the entire time, and we knew that our son was in the best hands. We have been touched beyond measure by the thoughtfulness of your company, and most especially, Coco.. I have spoken to numerous people about our sterling experience, and in particular about Coco's exceptional service and kindness. I know in my heart that our son is in a better place because of Coco's role in helping him reach his final resting place on this earthly plain (a place he always loved). I recently lost my father at 93 (almost) years old. I had moved into my parents' house to care for my father and help my 91 year old mother...for 6 months. Neptune Society came to pick up my dad and were so respectful and handled him with the dignity he deserved as a man and a veteran of the Air Force, and a Viet Nam survivor. They discreetly asked our preferences and draped him with the American flag when removing his body. They made the experience much easier to bear as he left us for the last time. Thank you. They also handled the documents and information necessary to make it as easy and understandable as possible, when one is grieving in shock and sorrow. They also gave us pertinent information to start the long Veterans Association list of forms necessary for the military for widow's pension...etc. We couldn't have picked a BETTER company to handle things. My mother passed away in March of this year, she had already started the Neptune Society process and payments a few months before, not knowing that she would be gone so suddenly. She was in Crossville, TN and I am in SC. Thankfully my daughter was there when she passed, and she was able to get in touch with Neptune and they took care of everything from that point on. Thank the Lord we did not have to deal with funeral homes and burials. They did all the paperwork through edocuments and had the whole process taken care of in two weeks. There is so much that needs to be done when someone passes away, having this burden taken away was a big relief. I don't know how much all the other costs, but I'm sure it has to be at least 3x more, this was very reasonable for the services and traveling they provided and did. Thank you! read more

On this beautiful, sunny day, I found myself across the street from Williamson Memorial and I felt it was time to get some closure and see the final resting place of my former student. He was a brilliant mathematical mind. But I had no idea where he was buried in this vast cemetery. I walked into the main building to ask for assistance, and the staff was busy juggling multiple memorial services and a number of funerals. I already felt intrusive and hated to bother employees with a simple grave location request on such a busy day. And that's when I met Joe. After a sweet young lady told me she didn't know how to find a grave but knew someone who could, that's when Joe emerged from an office to assist. He could have easily told me he was too busy, or blown me off because he was coordinating bigger events. Instead, he looked up the name I gave him and found the site. But that was hardly the end of his generosity. Joe literally walked with me into the cemetery to show me the precise location. He actually took the time to leave the main office just to help me find the gravesite, allowing me to get closure on a day that was long overdue. This is the most wonderful example of customer service I think I've ever experienced. And if that's how they handle a random person stopping by for a visit, just imagine how they work with families during their most difficult time burying a loved one.

From the care of the deceased, the help setting up for the viewing, moving the flowers to the burial site, the staff was wonderful and helpful and kind. The funeral home itself is a it dated, but in the way that feels like home, comfortable, cozy, like grandma's house. There were several conveniently located bathrooms near the main viewing rooms and a kitchenette/coffee & cake room up a short flight of stairs for snacks and drinks and taking a breather from the greeting of the visits. Sadly Grandpa's passing marks the last of the family that will use the services of Phillips-Robinson. But only because we don't have any more family in Nashville.
