What can I say? Having been here at least 15 times, this place is consistently fabulous and delivers on flavours and service! From my experience, I find their liege waffles very authentic and all the sweet waffles they offer are balanced with other flavours as overdo the sugar. I have tried nearly all their sweet waffles and I can personally vouch that they are fantastic! Such a cute date vibe, friends vibe, or family vibe. Plating is very pretty and instagram friendly. Nero's robson location has been around for a while. This location is definitely a lot roomier and more comfy to stay for a while. Came here on a Saturday night after dinner and there was no wait! We ordered heaven with Leige waffle which was good but I think I prefer the Brussels because it lighter! Strawberries and cream is always a good combo ! Also got the banella brûlée on the Brussels waffle and my boyfriend really enjoyed it ! All the flavours worked together so well! We were actually a bit full when that night when we planned to dine here, so we decided to just bring it to go. We got the 7-pack box for the liege waffles. Wish we can try others too. So we got one of each flavor, and extra strawberry and vanilla custard. We did a waffles tasting that night. Our favorites were the strawberry and vanilla custard (I just knew which one to get double LOL). The vanilla custard makes it so soft and sweeten perfectly. The strawberry is like a strawberry pocky/ milk. So good! For the sweet berries waffle, it is extra to get the syrup but I high recommend to order the syrup even it's extra! It was perfect with the crispy waffle. This place is great! Used to be my Sunday brunch place when I lived downtown and still try to make it out here frequently. It starts with the great waffle smell the moment you walk in. There can be a bit of a wait during weekends, but the line clears out pretty quickly in general. They have a nice patio area that is perfect for the summer. Staff is very friendly in general although I feel they can be understaffed a bit. They offer a good balance between sweet and savory waffles and you can pick if you want it on a Brussels or Liège waffle. The Brussels waffle goes well with the savory options and the Liège with the sweet ones in my opinion. My to go to waffle is the Berry Mascarpone on a Liège waffle. The fruit is really fresh and balances well with the mascarpone. If you prefer savory I really recommend the Brussels Benny or Baked Brie. Portions have great sizes. Very filling but not too large. Really recommend to order some of the smaller waffles and share with the table. The custard filled and matcha ones are my favorites. Long story short, this is a great place for brunch during the weekend or for dessert after dinner. You need to try this place if you like waffles. read more

i LOVE nero's waffles! I have been to this location and their other one many times but now am finally reviewing. The server was so kind and seated us very quickly. I used the check in offer here and got a free mini liege waffle and I chose the vanilla custard flavour! We got 3 types of waffles to share between the three of us: Bresilienne, Banella Brulee and Orange Mousse with a Brussels waffle base for all 3. The waffles came out within 10-15 minutes and we were all so excited to eat! Each of the waffles had a different thing about them that made it stand out. All 3 came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and regular whipped cream except the Orange Mousse one. The Orange Mousse one had fresh orange slices, a candy orange, dark chocolate shavings and the star of the show - the dark chocolate mousse! It tasted like heaven and since it didn't have whipped cream, the waffle wasn't as soggy compared to the others and were still crispy. The Banella Brulee was also a favourite of mine, the crispy carmelized bananas paired soo well with the ice cream and waffles it was just a perfect blend. The Bresillien was good as well but I wish there was more caramel sauce since I found it more creamy due to the whipped cream and ice cream but the chopped nuts were amazing. The mini vanilla cream stuffed liege waffle was good too but I wish the cream was a bit sweeter. Overall, amazing waffles and another wonderful experience here at Nero! read more

I'm giving this place a 3/5 not because of the waffles, but the other factors. The waffles itself are absolutely amazing--they are super light and airy and you can definitely tell that they are made really well. The individual small waffles are also really really good and make perfect gifts for a really affordable price. However! I disliked my experience here because 1. The server was WAY TOO attentive to our table. Having experience as a waitress myself, I can tell when the server is nice just to get that tip and I could definitely tell that was her case. She constantly checked up on our table every 5-7 minutes and peered at us. It wasn't even a busy night! I didn't have that experience the first time I went, but she definitely made the atmosphere of the restaurant worse. 2. We ordered 2 drinks, the "house-squeezed" orange juice ($4) and the lavender london fog ($5). All I could say was disappointing. I understand that fresh orange juice is expensive, however, I would say that the amount of juice that we got was definitely not worth it and the it tasted just like boxed orange juice. Also being an avid cafe-goer, I have tried a lot a lot of london fogs and this place was one of the worst. Even plain milk would've tasted better than what I was served! I understand that Nero is not a cafe and doesn't specialize in drinks, but I was definitely disappointed. Other than that, if you have better luck with a server and steer clear of the drinks, I would've given this place a 5/5. My friends and I used to line up outside of Nero's original Robson store for up to 30 minutes each time, as there was very limited seating. Nero's Yaletown location is much larger and can accommodate many people both inside the restaurant and on their heated patio. After visiting Belgium multiple times, I can confidently say that Nero's Belgium waffles are legitimate and truly delicious. My favourite waffle at Nero is the Bresilienne, which comes with ice cream, whipped cream, caramel and hazelnuts. It's very similar to what you can get in Brussels, and the pricing is quite reasonable as well. Lastly, I recommend buying a few of Nero's mini waffles to take home! read more

Between my party we got to try sweet (Heaven waffles with strawberries and whip cream), savoury (smoked salmon), and the mini liege waffles (all flavors). Everything was just amazing. Waffles were light and fluffy, and the toppings fresh. The liege waffles are such a pleasant surprise. I have been at Nero Waffles 3 different times with different friends in just a month. I cannot stop recommending this place to everybody! The waffles are from another world. I was only ordering waffles to go as their Seymour location was closed due to Coronavirus. My favourite mine waffles are green matcha, dark chocolate and speculoos. Our first time visiting and we were super excited. It didn't quite live up to the bar. The food is beautiful and pretty good. The flavors were ok but everything was really fresh. The person who does check-ins was wonderful. My kiddo loved the Nutella waffle. Unfortunately, it seemed like we weren't assigned to a waitress/waiter because we waited about 15 minutes to order after I flagged someone down. In that timeframe two groups who were seated after us ordered first and therefore were before us. My observation was that there is some disorganization with the waitstaff which had an impact.
