I came with my husband to look to see what new espresso pods were in store and we were greeted by Tony. He's helped us since the very first time we went to the store. He is always so nice and his knowledge for coffee is amazing. He takes his time explaining whatever type of coffee you are interested in and gives you recommendations. He outdoes himself every time. He should get a promotion. The place is very welcoming and clean.

Came in for some much needed coffee/espresso. We were warmly greeted by staff, and have come to enjoy our Nespresso shopping experience at this location. Tony - the Man - the Myth - the Legend. You could basically call him a mind reader. He knows what I like and has always recommended bangers. I like strong. He knocks the recommendations out of the park. My wife likes sweet and his recommendations have been spot on. If you know what you like In a coffee and or espresso. Give him some info and he'll pin point out solid options and let you try them if they are available. Store was clean and bright and is always vibrant. Having guys like Tony keep us coming back. #Cheers

The Nespresso boutique store is located at Americana at Brand shopping area, and it's quite clear and spacious inside. The staff working here are friendly, and also patient with my questions about Nespresso machine not bought here. They carry a large variety of capsules, and offer seasonal promotions, no parking validation though.

Service was great! Loved the ambiance and the atmosphere of this store. The service member took care of us and answered all of our questions. Unfortunately when we got home we noticed that we were missing our Pistachio Vanilla pods. Would've been 5/5 stars! Because the experience was amazing!

Our first time here, have been to other stores, but did not make purchase. Staff was helpful, but didn't take much to convince husband to make purchase. Today there was 25% off and, of course, that was enough for my hubby to purchase. Looking forward to enjoying better tasting coffee tomorrow morning!

What an amazing time we had, but most importantly had by our boutique expert, David. Upon waking into the door we saw several female workers up front, but to our surprise they didn't acknowledge us. At the very far back where coffee is made, a gentleman signaled to us and met us up front offering superb service. We have been to that location several times before and never have we had such great service. He was extremely helpful and beyond pleasant. Most times it's more of a hurry up.. next type attitude, but because of David we I'll be back. Hopefully to always have him help us. As far as the location , it is well lit, very clean and smells delicious in there. David, thank you for your amazing customer service. We are grateful for people who take their customers serious and treat them with the utmost respect. You are a Diamond in the rough!

Kumquat lives off of York Blvd - a street with many families, creatives, and small businesses live. The environment is always wholesome. Their staff are always friendly, and as an experienced barista myself, I can see that their team are also very talented, well trained and very good at quality control. Their espresso is so balanced and sits perfectly center on your palette. Their matcha and hojicha is rich and velvety and seemingly a higher grade product. They work with many roasters, and sell a lot of their beans on their shelves. They also sell a lot of coffee and tea tools. I love everything about coming to Kumquat. Don't skip on their other locations (Loquat and newfound Quat). I'll forever stan this business

*** Cash not accepted ***…read more It has been a few years since my original visit and it looks like Kumquat Coffee is now known as the coffee shop to get matcha and hojicha lattes. Here are some of the key highlights: * In addition to the 2nd location in Downtown LA and a sister coffee shop Loquat Coffee in Cypress Park, the same owners also opened Fondry Bakery in 2024, a coffee roastery called Quat in Glassell Park in October 2025, and a 2nd Loquat location in Silver Lake in December 2025. * Still no private parking lot and the two public parking lots are still your best bet (5033 Lincoln Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90042 & 1311N N Ave 51, Los Angeles, CA 90042). Otherwise street parking is available. * Still no indoor seating with only few small outdoor chairs and a tiny table. * Our party had the Hojicha Latte (half-sweet $6.50) and Matcha Latte ($6.75). Personally, I strongly discourage anyone from getting the half-sweet option as it made the drink taste a bit watery. The Matcha Latte had full sweetness and it tasted about right, but it was still not as good as some other matcha lattes out there. * No public restroom [Conclusion]: A nice coffee shop to stop by while visiting the boutique shops on York Blvd. Decent matcha drinks, but I still prefer matcha drinks from various cafes in Koreatown if I want something on the next level.

Wish I could give six stars!!!…read more MENU: Their chocolate chip banana bread is to die for, genuinely so yummy, and their lemon poppyseed bread is a close second (note: they generally have each flavor every other day I believe, but I've been there sometimes when they've had neither or both, I think it just depends on the time you're there). Wouldn't get the breakfast burrito again, but maybe that's just me. My girlfriend loves their iced oat milk latte with honey. Not sure if they took their chai off tap since it's September, but I'd love to try it. NOTE: They have a rule on their tables requesting you buy something every two hours, so make sure you know that going in and plan accordingly. They have funky seasonal drinks that rotate monthly. WFH/COWORKING COMPATIBILITY: There is no shortage of outlets. An abundance of them on the tall tables, which is where my gf and I usually sit. I believe they are on the booths too, but can't confirm because I haven't sat there. I don't think they are super accessible via couch, but I've only sat there once. They also have wifi, which has never given me issues. It can get noisy with people playing tabletop games, but I've never had an issue if I just put headphones in. The communal tables mean there is plenty of space for everyone's stuff. I just hang my backpack on my chair. AMBIANCE: They play excellent music. A lot of sapphic stuff, riot grrrl, oldies, very good vibes. I've been going over the summer, and it's never been terribly warm. They have huge windows with shades that you can pull down. There's a sort of "backyard" area, I'm not sure whether it's accessible to the public, but it makes it feel cute and homey. It's very rustic-feeling, everything's wood and there are these wood bars on the ceiling if that makes sense. They have booths, a couch, two armchairs, and communal tall tables. Even though it can get crowded, I've never had nowhere to sit. PARKING/DRIVING/TRANSIT: Street parking (with no time limit/associated cost) is really your only option, but that's never been an issue for me and my gf. We've never had to park too far away, and we've never been unable to find a spot or had to look for more than a couple minutes. Make sure to not listen to Maps when it tells you to turn left on those big streets if that's not your jam lol. Also I think it's a five minute walk from that one A line stop, so if you live close enough that's a good alternative. STAFF: The sweetest, friendliest, gayest, nerdiest baristas ever. I've never had a bad experience with them. I've been to other cafes frequently, but since this one became our new spot, one of the baristas recognized me after we'd only gone a few days in a row. They all seem to be friends with the regulars, even though they've only been open a year as of a couple days ago. We usually go around the same time, so we generally see the same staff members, and they seem to recognize us when we come in. LOCATION: For me personally, it's very conveniently located, which is a huge plus. It's in a super cute area with lots of restaurants, dessert places, thrift shops, bars, etc., and I'm excited to check out the area more. Right next to Revenge Of, a comic book store, and I believe they have some sort of relationship or connection. I'm not huge into comic books, but if you are, that would be a huge plus, and it seems like they have a hang sesh out behind the comic book store maybe once a week or month? I think the comic book store has some sort of parking situation (where the hang is), but not sure if it's open to the public/And Destroy patrons. BATHROOM: They have a bathroom with a code, I don't remember exactly how I felt about it but I at least didn't have a negative enough experience that it stuck in my head as bad. I remember it being cute and aesthetic. It's just one single bathroom, but I've never had to wait or seen a line. STIMULATION: At times it can be overstimulating to be so close to other people at the communal tables. I've been there many times, and I've only been overstimulated by it once. It depends on the time and day that you go. If you look at their calendar, you can see if there's stuff going on that day, which may affect crowdedness. HOURS: They have great hours - 7am-10pm. They open early and close late - much later than most coffee shops. RESERVING TABLES/GAMING: I'm not versed in tabletop games, so I can't speak to that, but I've overheard people saying that if you want to play tabletop, this is the place to do it. In terms of reserving tables, it's $5/person for 2 hours from 5-10pm, but I believe it's free 7am-5pm. However, it's very easy after a few visits to earn the reward of a free 2 hour reservation. I believe you can reserve any of the different types of seating options. People reserving tables has never been an issue for seating, I've stayed as late as 8/8:30pm with no issue. REWARDS: After maybe 7 visits, I was able to get $5 off.
