Well I know I'll never come back to this place. Sorry to say but when I asked for no onion on my Burger with chili cheese fries and to my disappointment the burger patty has onion mixed in and the chili cheese fries had beans which are 2 of the main items that I dislike immensely. I really wish that they would have told me about the Burger and I coulda tried something else but when someone says no onion you would think that they would let you know that it has onions mixed in the meat. We stopped on our way home around 6:30pm. Ordered 2 burgers & 1 fry Asked for chili cheese fries was told they are about to close, they're no longer serving cheese because they were making a new batch of cheese for the next day... (weird, but ok) so we ask, can we just have some chili then for our fries? We were told they don't sell chili when they're not selling cheese (HUH?!) $25 later, Got our order (me no bun) husband regular Nessy Burger & fries. My burger came with no sauce, no pickles, about 1/2 inch thick whole slice of onion and a lot of salt & pepper covering My very dry burger. Only given about 4 ketchup packets to share between the two of us for our burgers and fries. Fries were great! Then we Asked for ranch... DO NOT ASK THEM FOR RANCH. They seem to get very offended and annoyingly inform u they don't carry ranch. Lastly, An older gentleman with a tight green nessy shirt and brand new New Balances, comes over to our table... while we're eating... with a wet rag... and proceeds to clean our table around our food & my purse. Not saying one single word to us. But giving us the "we're closing so hurry up" stink eye. I've got to be honest, I think there is way more hype about this place than it needs. I have been eating here fo 25 years. Probably only once a year because I don't get over that way to often. I have had the same quality experience every time. Just for fun I looked it up on yelp. I was shocked to see it only had four stars. I consider yelp a very useful source for trying new restaurants. Basically if it is four stars and above I will try it and most likely enjoy it. I was reading some of the negative reviews and these people don't know what quality ground beef is, go back to the double archs where they add the flavor before freezing it. The price about 8 bucks a burger. The get their ground beef fresh every day. Buns fresh from the bakery every day. And fresh vegetables daily. I cannot express what an amazing experience I had today. My sister and I pulled off the 15 and saw Nessy. I recalled a few friends telling me about this spot. While standing in line reviewing the menu a very friendly gentleman started chatting with us. He asked if it was our first time at Nessy's. We told him it was and he gave us a recommendation. After ordering and talking to him a little more it turns out he was the owner Charlie. He told us the history of Nessy Burgers and introduced us to some of the employees that have been there since the beginning. It's clear that he loves his business and wanted to make sure everyone had a great time. I hope anyone that stops by gets to meet him and try their great food! read more

Burger patty appeared to be well cooked on outside. But patty center was cool, not very warm. Closer inspection, patty outside was well cooked as was the center with no pink. So why the cool center? Did they give me a patty cooked much earlier?!! At $8, i expected a warm or hot burger patty. Maybe 11am is not a good time to order beef burger. There was no flavor. I have passed by this place a few times after moving here to Fallbrook. Today was my chance to try this place. I ordered a Turkey Burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. Turkey burger was juicy, fresh, and exactly the right portion! I was full when I finished eating it. I saved the shake later as my dinner since it was a pretty good size shake. Loved that the shake was creamy and refreshing. My lips got a good workout sucking that up through the straw. The only critique I had of the place was that the fries. While they were crispy and piping hot, they were a little bit on the bland side. I would have added a tiny bit more salt to them. Overall, it was a great meal! I would definitely consider myself a burger aficionado. Although the spot right here, Nessy burgers. Honestly, 2/5 if we're going to be brutally honest. The burgers are big I get it, but you guys have to do a better job with the bun. Why is the bun so thick? The patty is already extremely thick. You could easily improve the quality of the burger if you guys used thinner buns. Patty is great, but also keep in mind these burgers are priced high because it's located in the middle of Egypt, so finding a burger spot that actually cooks the burger isn't just something you find. All in all, for being in the middle of absolutely no where it would suffice. Fries are thick crinkle fries so be sure to get a lot sauce. Was out this way for a wedding and was told we needed to stop here before heading back ....so we did! Great big burger cooked on the spot and the fries were okay. I've had better but it wasn't bad. The patty didn't have much flavor to it however, it was super tender and juicy. I was hungover so maybe my taste buds were off but even my fiancé said the patty had no seasoning. It's a super small shack in the back of a lot and very limited seating and it was busy. I will give this place another try if I'm ever up that way again and I'll update my review. Have lived in San Diego for 20+ years and always wanted to try this place. Well we finally did and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. I'm sorry for all those Nessy Burger loyalists but I don't get it. The burger was over cooked, dry and blah in flavor. The fries were worse than the ones I can get at the little league field.
