Ever since I heard on instagram that Nest Tea was opening, I couldn't wait. I kept asking when it will open and finally the day has come. I was really excited to try their teas, they are pretty good and legit! I tried their thai tea and was very impressed. The place is a very nice and quiet place for studying. The service is one of the top! I got my drink so fast and enjoyed every drop of it. Tip: They have a stamp card so make sure to use it when you get your drinks! I can't wait to come back! I love coming to Nest because it used to be my go-to study spot before the pandemic. Their hokkaido milk tea has always been consistent even though I tend to switch around for their milkstache drink or just a regular milk green tea. Although I usually get half sweet for drink their regular sweetness level isn't toothaching-ly sweet either. read more

FINALLY! Been on my list since Nest opened and I finally got the chance to chill and grab a drink. I arrived a little before noon and it was empty. Probably just opened since boba places usually open around noon. Entrance is available from both parking lots (front and back). There are a number of tables where you can get your work/chill on. I opted for a Earl Grey Milk Tea (Hot). The drink was made fresh and too order because i asked for less sweet. Pretty standard for any premium boba shop that isn't TapEx or Lollicup. The drink was pretty bomb. still a bit on the sweet side but nonetheless milky yet not overly milk-tasting and tea-y, just not a strong Earl Grey flavor that by itself, can overpower any drink. As for the ambiance, I was able to get a lot done. It did get a bit crowded around 1:30 which was the time I left. Hoards of people started walking in looking to get their boba fix. I will be back but maybe not to work because I have some trouble with the internet. The wifi kept getting cut off, which I think also affected the cashier and their card reader as well. It was a bit of an inconvenience but I guess nothing too drastic. The drink and the relatively comfy seats made up for it. Chrysanthemum tea is not as sweet as other places, that's a good thing. Especially coming here towards the end of the evening. I wanted to get here on their first day of the soft-opening with Tiffany C but that didn't happen. So the following day is when I was able to come here. I have returned as I was making a trek out to the valley. Yes, like, that valley. So I needed something to wet my whistle and to keep me company. I stopped in here for a taro milk tea. Now that's a big surprise as one of the owners remembered what I ordered and where I sat. Thank you very much!! He also told me there will be bits of real taro in this drink and is non-dairy. Double plus for me as I do like the real taro and not the purple stuff. The boba is soft yet chewy and the little bits are really good. I got regular sweet instead of asking for half sweet and that seemed just right on this lovely day. Yes it was Monday but it is a lovely day today too. After lunch, my friend wanted some boba/tea, so found this place. It's a pretty standard boba/tea spot when tossed in the mix of the hundred others in the 626 area. I got the Matcha Green Tea (~$5) and it was beyond sweet. Lazy me didn't bother to lessen the sweetness, but I asked for a cup of water to dilute it. This place is located in the plaza NEXT to Big Lots. I drove into the Big Lots' parking lot thinking it's connected to that plaza but it's not. So make sure you turn into the right entrance. It is also located in the back corner of the plaza so it's hard to even notice it being there if I had not seen it on yelp. I got the sea salt green tea and had asked to add boba to the drink. Sadly, the boba wasn't ready yet so I opted for pudding. The drink was really creamy! For a second, it felt like I was drinking some sweet milk. As I drank it more, I can taste the green tea and it did get a bit bitter towards the end. Probably because I had already drank most of the cream, oops. Overall I really liked the drink, it wasn't too sweet but I wouldn't get it too often just because of the amount of cream they put in there. 10/10 for this place They were open at 10:30 thank god because I was really craving boba. I came here one time before with friends but stupidly didn't order anything so I wasn't sure what to get. I've never had hokkaido milk tea before so i decided to try it. Tbh I initially was not a huge fan of the almondy flavor of the hokkaido, but I guess that's what I signed up for. Despite that, the flavor grew on me as I drank and I also got pudding and boba which paired nicely with the milk tea. If you're sensitive to sugar I would recommend reducing the sugar level. If not, the ice melts and makes it a little more diluted as you keep drinking unless you drink boba really fast. Boba quality was also really good even though it was late. I got the Sea Salt Green Tea "Milkstache" and thought it was a tad too milky/creamy, and slightly too bitter from the green tea. It was a little difficult to spot being tucked all the way inside the plaza, but it had plenty of parking. The interior had a very hip, modern decor and every seat was filled. We had to camp out for someone to leave. Ordered the Earl Grey Milk Tea w/boba and my friend got the Watermelon Juice (1/2 sweet). The Earl Grey was a little sweet and the sweetness kind of overpowered the tea flavor for me, but the boba was on point - chewy on the inside and out. The Watermelon juice was a bit bland, but that may have been due to the 1/2 sweet request. After we finally found a seat, we tried to connect to the wi-fi but it didn't work for both me and my friend. Fifteen minutes into the effort, I think the power went out, because the music stopped playing and the wi-fi network actually disappeared from the list. Wow I was very surprised by this hidden, discrete location. It's in the very back corner next to a closed down "Kung fu Kitchen" restaurant, with very tiny parking right in front (though it's in a giant lot with more parking sliiiiightly further). Walking in, you're immediately blasted with ultra fragrant tea scents, which is absolutely awesome. I went for the basics, trying just a simple black tea with boba. The black tea had the floral, fragrant scent that lingers in the store, which I absolutely love! The boba was also cooked well--just the right amount of chewiness with the tiniest bit of sweetness (some of y'all may like it sweeter). It's a small location, but packed with big flavor. The girl who took my order didn't look like she was happy working though--I tried smiling at her a few times, but her own was quite forced :( Either way, this is a great spot with tea that I haven't had at a boba joint in quite some time. Very low key boba place that's discreetly hidden at the end of the plaza where you might miss it if you weren't looking for it. However with that being said, I absolutely love this boba shop. Every time I come here the drinks have been consistently good! They allow you to adjust the amount of sugar from 25%, 50%, 75% to 100%. I tend to go between 50% and 75% depending on the type of drink that I order since 100% sugar of anything tends to be super overpowering for me. They have regular and large sizes. Regular sized drinks run about $3. They also have stamp cards and a Yelp checkin gets you 10%! Beware that this place does NOT serve food. It is solely a boba tea shop. However, if you're going to serve one boba tea, Nest Tea House does it extremely well. I come here normally just to chill, grab a drink and hang out. There are outlets at every table basically. This place also gets extremely busy on Saturday nights between 8-11pm! So if you want to get a table, be sure to come in before that time! The interior is relatively spacious for a tea house, and probably has about 6 tables. 5 minutes later, I tried my drink. Appearance wise I knew I was in for a treat because of the gentle foaming action. This usually indicated a quality green tea. I sipped away and the bitterness from the tea came through. It wasn't overly sweet and I didn't request any less sugar. The grass jelly tasted homemade and not from a can. This place is legit. It's next to Big Lots. I have purchased drinks here 10+ times in the past and my all-time favorite drink here is the Black Sugar Milk Tea (5 stars) with boba! Everything about this drink is PERFECT. I have also ordered the Taro Slush (3 stars), Peach Slush (4 stars), Yogurt Slush (3 stars), Mango Slush (4 stars) and Hokkaido Coffee (2-3 stars). I give this place 5 stars because they only have gotten my order incorrectly one time and because their quality of their Black Sugar Milk Tea is my most favorite milk tea! Taro Slush: It was very average. I say this because I am comparing their Taro Slush to Cafe 86's Taro Cookie Monster. Peach Slush: Very nice and refreshing, I just wish there were little chunks of peach in it. It would be so yummy like this. This is one of my favorite boba spots. It's always worth making the drive out since its kinda out of the way for me. Service is always fast and friendly. I like that they have their top drinks enlarged next to the register so people can see decide what they want if they don't see something on the menu. I just don't like that the cash register is RIGHT at the entrance as you enter. Often time people who are looking at the menu just linger there which makes it hard for others who are ready to order since nobody seems to know where the line starts or who've ordered. So far my favorite here is their Rose Green Milk Tea. I don't ever order that but wanted to try something new since I always just get the basic of Jasmine Milk Tea. Nest Tea House is "nested" inside a small strip mall, it's kind of hard to find but definitely worth the trip! Having been to Nest a few times, I noticed that there's always a crowd of high school/college kids around after dinner, during prime boba time. Otherwise, it's a pleasant place for studying, working. I really like the music that they play. Soft but not too quiet that it will make you groggy or want to fall asleep. As for their drinks, I like their milk tea. I have recently had their brown sugar milk tea and really liked it. It may seem hypocritical, but I got the brown sugar milk tea with 30% sweetness, and I thought it was just perfect! I came here after a long hike at Griffith Park for a sweet cup of tea. It was tucked away in the corner of the plaza, and it's a cute little place that I would prob bring a laptop to study at. Plenty of outlets along the wall. I got the Hokkaido stache that everyone loves with 75% sugar and easy ice. It would definitely have been worth the full sugar. Most creamy drinks would actually, just the fruity ones can go with slot less sugar (since the flavored syrup itself is already sweet). Each of the drinks we tried was very tea-like... some with the slightly bitter tea taste of semi burnt/steeped too long tea. My friends go a green tea with sea salt, matcha with egg pudding, something that tasted very malt-y and a grape fruit green tea. The boba wasn't ready for another 30 minutes even though we came around 12:15pm. Guess a few good things were that it was open on thanksgiving and they're decently priced. About $19.50 for 5 drinks 4, medium and 1 large :)... I would rate it a 3.5 if I could. read more

I've been here a couple of times and I think the drinks are mediocre. Nest is located in a plaza next to Big Lots and the store itself looks pretty modern and clean. Seating is limited with only a couple of tables. However, it seems to be a good study environment, I always see students with their laptops here. Service has been friendly, no complaints. As for the drinks, the Thai and Earl Grey Milk Tea were okay, not the best but not horrible either. The Hokkaido Milk Tea was way too sweet and all I tasted from the Matcha Milk Tea was the powder. Taste is individual please be reminded. This is just my friendly opinion! I think this place never disappoints! Ive visited so much at this point. I think this place has been by far my favorite boba place in San Gabriel. I used to go to the one in Arcadia, but since this one is slightly closer to me, I now prefer to go here. Parking is not bad! Just park on the street or in the lot. Drinks wise, I personally lean towards more of the refreshing drinks. So far I have had their Jasmine Green Tea, Rose Green Tea, both regular chrysanthemum and the honey chrysanthemum and Grapefruit green tea. For sweetness for all of them, they use the machine like usual boba places do. Therefore, it usually comes out too sweet. Please keep in mind it already has syrup in it so choose the sweetness wisely! The jasmine green tea is brewed nicely here! It's not too bitter but it has a good amount. The rose green tea (I have also tried the rose green milk tea as well!) it really does taste like you're biting out of a flower. Personally my favorite, but if you're not a fan of biting out of a flower this drink is probably not for you! But if you do like rose drinks, they don't use the monin rose syrup (the monin ones has more of a candier taste while theirs taste more like a flower). I personally love love love the taste of rose so this is usually my go to! The chrysanthemum both honey and regular is really nice like every other place! It's light, great go to on your days. Again, choose wisely on the sweetness! Grapefruit has a good bitterness and sweetness to it! If you want more bitter I recommend going low on the sweetness to your preference. Prices are usual like any other boba shop and service is really chill. And lastly in terms of studying, I think this place is quieter compared to the other location in Temple City in my opinion! read more

It's a little hard to find so I included a picture of the entrance here. We ordered the guava green tea with boba, 75%sweet and the hokkaido iced coffee with pudding. The guava drink wasn't that good. I know I ordered less sweet but it tasted like less than half sweet. Most places do honey boba, but their boba didn't have much flavoring which was sad. Came here during lockdown to do a quick pickup. I tried the classic milk tea and a matcha beverage (think it was also a milk tea). Both were delicious at half sweetness. I am super eager to swing by and try their other drinks in the near future. The location is not impressive but has plenty of parking. Leaving this stretch of Las Tunas can be a pain, but finding parking shouldn't be an issue. The store itself is located near the back of the plaza and kind of easy to miss. It's quite plain but clean inside. I was impressed to see the staff wearing masks and putting down markers on the floor for social distancing. They also requested patrons wait outside for drinks. The store also has a loyalty stamp card, so yay to that. Edit: After seeing so many patrons recommend the Hokkaido milk tea, I want to comment on it. I don't normally enjoy super sweet drinks, but after seeing so many recommendations for the Hokkaido milk tea, I ordered it with less than 50% sweet. Not gonna knock the drink, but if you're not into super sweet drinks, don't even bother because this isn't going to change your mind. I think I'll stick to the classics. read more

This boba place is just good but nothing stood out. I got the passion fruit green tea and it tasted like all the other cheaper boba places. It tasted extremely artificial and syrupy. It was just a boring drink. I asked for 25% sweetness and it still tasted too sweet and fake. Tasted like I was drinking straight up passion syrup. I came at 4:00 on a Sunday and they ran out of actual boba. I got lychee instead and it was okay but it was very thin. There were plenty of places to sit and a nice study spot. They have great music and the employees are very nice. Parking is easy. WiFi is pretty decent and public to everyone. The moment I stepped into the store, I could smell this scent that you normally get when you walk into the new or refurbished building. Anyhow, there are approximately 7 indoor tables, 1 indoor bar table, and 1 outdoor table. You get 10% off if you use Yelp check in deal & you also get a free stamp card (10 stamps = one small drink, but can't use offer on hot grass jelly). *** Hokkaido green tea ($3.85 + extra $0.50 for boba): Did I start to grow a mustache after I finished this drink? Well this ain't some kind of magic elixir, but it had a pretty strong green tea taste! The ratio was slightly more tea and less cream. Boba weren't exactly warm, but they were still pretty soft and chewy. *** I was delighted with my selection of "Milkstache Teas" and their Hokkaido green tea was decent using the tough 626 (San Gabriel Valley) standards. Whenever I make a quick stop at Nest with my friends, this place is packed with people. Good amount of seating, and popular for studying during the day or hanging out, but the awkward waiting space in the front is what docks off a star for me. I always feel uneasy with a lot of kids and customers staring at me while I try to find a spot to stand and wait as my drink gets made, so I never try to spend more than 10 minutes here. Service is OK, they're way too busy to have much of a good or bad vibe. Tried a handful of drinks here but my two favorites are the honey milk tea and the chrysanthemum tea! The honey milk tea is enough sweetness for me and it's a good blend of tea, the taste is distinguishable from other places.
