Neue was a blessing to find. After going in circles for three months with a nissan dealer, Tony nissan to be exact. I decided to take my truck to another shop for diagnosis of problems. I did some research on yelp and found neue automotive repair. I sent a message to them on yelp explaining the issue I was sill having even after Tony Nissan replaced all these parts; MAF, exhaust manifolds, spark pluugs, wire, distributor cap, fuel injectors, and this was after I initially had tony nissan do the timing belt replacement package. This is when all the problems started with my truck and tony Nissan couldn't find their own mistake. Neue automotive repair diagnosed the problem and fixed it in two days. Truck is running excellent now. Problem was spark plugs over gapped and timing gear mark off by approximately two teeth by certified technicians at tony nissan. In two days Neue automotive had my truck up and running excellent. It is so amazing. Also, another thing I really appreciate with Neue automotive is their communication updating me of the status of my vehicle or ither issues. Me having a automotive background can see the knowledge and expertise these guys at Neue have. They explain everything step by step. They won me over, and definitely will go back when my vehicle require maintenance or service. Skip the dealers, go to Neue. All the employees are friendly and easy to talk to. read more

Nice guys but caused me a $6000 repair. Took my older Hyundai Genesis in for some basic work - A/C leak check, transmission check, and brake light switch replacement. Got the vehicle back (some panels and vents still removed) with a huge warning on the dash for the emergency parking brake not being functional and some other features disabled as well. Mechanics asked that I take it to the Genesis Dealer for a diagnostic since they had more detailed troubleshooting information. Wanting to help get the repair done I took it in and was told that the Emergency Parking Brake Actuator was somehow bad and would have to be replaced which would cost more than $6,000. After bringing back all diagnostic info and Neue Auto getting a second look at the vehicle they confirmed that the Actuator would need to be replaced and it would be minimum $5K. I have no idea how the basic maintenance done could cause the parking Actuator to fail but here I am 5 months later with no good answers and $5K poorer. Overall shop and employees are solid but for the amount of time I've put into this situation and minimal attempts to resolve by Neue Auto I won't be going back. read more

Updating my previous review, oil change was done took about 30-40 mins. They were really friendly and professional. They even accommodated for my OCD of my pedals on the floor. I'm glad I was able to get an appointment in, especially the amount I had to pay for my oil change compared to other businesses. Definitely would use again for another servicing. read more

I initially went to the Servco dealership to get my periodic servicing, 60k miles. They found that my front brakes needed new pads and rotor resurfacing. The cost was high so I decided to see if there were other places that could do it for less. I created a project in Yelp and got a few responses from shops around my area. Neue was the quickest to respond to my following up questions. The quote process went like this... Me: I'm looking for brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing. Neue: we don't do resurfacing but we can quote you on rotor replacement. It will cost more than resurfacing though. Me: that's ok, can I get quote for rotor replacing? Neue: Sure, here you go... [quote] Me: That's cheaper than the dealerships quote for resurfacing. How do I schedule an appointment? Neue: Call our front office, Courtney. And I scheduled the brake pad and rotor replacement that day. I appreciate when it's easy to work with a company, and it was easy to work with Neue. The only negative was the location. They are at the back of a very narrow driveway and I missed the entrance from the street the first time. It may look a little rough from the street, but once I got in, Courtney was at the front desk to take my keys. And the two guys that I interacted with besides Courtney, probably mechanics... they were cool and polite. When I got my car back, they turned my car around so I didn't have to backup the length of the driveway. It's small stuff like that, that differentiates good companies for the rest. I'm not a mechanic so I will let others determine as they will about "value". Did a transmission flush on my truck. They did an excellent service and its was quick and easy.

Went in for issues with my brakes thinking it just needed a brake bleed/flush or maybe a master cylinder. Turns out it needed new rear calipers which I wouldn't have guessed myself. Also had some transmission issues and the guys there worked with me on that and were very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Highly recommend these guys. read more

I was overdue for my 50,000 mile checkup for my Honday hybrid so I called a few places and ended up with Neue Auto. They have some of the best reivews on Yelp! After a few calls back and forth we were all set. They're out by the airport so you may want to coordinate a ride back. I sat and waited instead. They are down a long alleyway so go by the address, you won't see a sign. They got it done in less tham 2 hours as promised! Oops, they forgot to give me back the lugnut key for my tires. No worries, Shay let me know and brought it by and apologized. Their prices aren't the best or the worst but the customer service is excellent. He explained exactly what I'd be getting done and I'm no car expert so I really appreciate that. They even called to confirm the appointment the day before. I ll use them again. My car wouldn't start and needed it looked at ASAP. I called on a Tuesday and they were able to fit me in on a Friday morning for diagnostic. When I towed my car there, Nick helped me at the front desk. Very friendly! Offered a free shuttle service back to work (which was a total plus since it was already a very stressful day). Unfortunately, they couldn't find the cause of my car not starting, BUT since it was in their possession the car started working fine and passing all the tests with flying colors (crazy lol). I got my car back and since then my starter hasn't had any issues. They said if my car was acting up again to give them a call and drop it back off. Overall, I was very happy with the service I received! My car was misfiring and got a diagnostic check from a different location before taking my car here. Got all 4 spark plugs and ignition coils replaced by Neue Repair for $1,000 but still didn't fix the misfire. They offered to do a diagnostic check for $150.00 but I declined and decided to take it to the dealership instead. Dealership found that 2 out of the 4 new spark plugs were loose, they tightened it to spec and fix the issue right away. Called Mike to let him know about the dealership's findings and to my surprise, he got defensive. He said that we know what we did and if you believe the dealership then it's a he said, she said thing. He then said that "I said my peace and will not talk anymore". Basically, they don't stand by their work and will just use the "we know what we did" excuse when you call them back about the work done. Any reputable business would at least acknowledge the possibility that they didn't do it right instead of their response. Very disappointed because they were very easy to talk to up until this point. I talked to Nick, the owner he asked me to send him the work detail from the dealership and we'll start from there. I e-mailed him a copy of the work done by the dealer. Not sure if I'll actually get a response back eventually but definitely won't recommend them at this point. Giving them 2 stars since they were very responsive before and during the repair. I made a request via YELP for a quote to replace 4 struts on a Toyota Camry. I received multiple quotes but selected Neue because they were prompt with their response and able to work on the car the next business day. They were not the lowest quote but their customer service is awesome! They replaced the 4 struts and then informed me there were other issues with the car (which was no surprise to me because it's a 2001!). I decided to return the car for the additional recommended repairs because at this point I was very happy with their work and honest pricing. Let me start by saying, I've neglected my car for a while. I got it up and running about a month ago but hadn't gotten around to getting it properly checked out because it seemed to be running fine...until it wasn't. On a Saturday when I started it, it was accelerating when I wasn't pressing anything. I ran a quick errand and when I started it back up, the issue was gone. With my family coming to town in a few days, I knew that I needed to get my car looked at and squared away before then. I read a bunch of Yelp reviews and decided to message Neue on Sunday. I was able to secure an appt for Monday morning for them to assess my car. The entire process was great. Dropped my car off on Monday morning and Nick asked a bunch of questions to get as much info as he needed going into the assessment. They got me an Uber to take me home. I heard back in the afternoon on what needed to be done and the cost. After getting the work done the following day, another issue came up that required my car to stay in the shop for another night but they didn't charge me for fixing that extra issue! Received a call the next morning saying they were doing the final check to make sure everything is good to go and they'll give me a call when my car is ready to be picked up. They called an Uber to pick me up from home and bring me to the shop, which was super nice and helpful. It's always extremely daunting to select a car repair shop when I know nothing about cars. I really appreciated how communicative they were throughout the process. I was told what needed to be done and how much it would cost. They also emailed me the quote at my request. The last shop I went to didn't provide a quote. I found out the cost when I got the call that my car was ready to be picked up! I definitely plan on bringing my car to Neue Auto if it ever needs work done again. Hopefully I won't need to, but at least now I have a place that's less intimidating :) read more

Needed AC repair, since mine has been out for about a year and a half. I was finally able to go in a get it serviced and had a special for 99 dollars to get it diagnosed which was already a win compared to most shops with diagnostic prices upwards of 150 or more. They got me in on Thursday, and were very quick, responsive and patient when explaining my cars problems. It was also very nice that they did a complete inspect of my vehicle, and found another potential problem. I ended up needing to get a whole new AC replacement which is not cheap! Lol but they were very patient with me, answered my questions, and gave me time to decide what I wanted to do. I ultimately decided to fix it because it's getting way to hot to not, and not in the market to buy a new car. Another plus was that they had all the parts on island, and ordered it as soon as I gave the go! Car was in the shop over night and everything was ready right in the morning!! ANOTHER huge plus what they offer to order you an Uber to wherever you need to go!! It was so convenient Thank you for revamping my AC system, it feels amazing to not have to drive with my windows down anymore! Such amazing, kind, quick service, and ultimately worth the price. Took my car in for A/C issues. Got it diagnosed and they provided me with a solution. It was great. The next day, they called to say that my radiator was leaking (which for some reason, wasn't apparent or visible when they checked the condenser). I started to get triggered by all the horror stories and reviews you hear and read about mechanics adding and adding additional things to what you came in for. But since I was already committed to repairing my vehicle, I decided to proceed with the additional repairs. Yes, I could've declined and got a 2nd opinion, but time lost and energy wasted is not my thing. On a positive note, they were very quick. read more

The good folks at Neue Auto have excellent customer service, especially when updating their customers throughout the service process. In my case, they tackled 2 of 3 urgent concerns on my Chevy Cruze (coolant leak and bad front wheel bearings) and was able to use my extended warranty to cover most of the cost! The 3rd issue was unfortunately undetectable for them as it pertained to rough/fluctuating idling and occasional engine stalling at idle. After looking at the Yelp ratings, this was one company that seemed like they were legit. I called and asked for an estimate for a few repair items. They texted later and asked for a license plate number in order to provide me with an estimate. I provided a picture of the license plate. I never heard from them again. My daughter had a similar experience with this company a few weeks before... where they didn't follow up. So they were 0 for 2. Honolulu Ford ended up doing all of repairs to the vehicle. Honolulu Ford did a GREAT job and charged about $700 for the repairs. Neue Auto wasted my time. Why don't they just say they're not taking more appointments until some future date? read more
