BEWARE! Save your time and money and take your car somewhere else. Very disappointed with this shop. Originally brought our vehicle in with engine problems. They had our vehicle several days as we were told they did a full complete diagnosis. We were told a list of problems and paid to have them fixed. Days later the vehicle still had the same issues. Vehicle was brought back in and they completed several more things and told us the vehicle should be good to go. Just a few days later the vehicle had the same issues. We were then told to bring the vehicle back in "only to be told that we need to replace another part of the vehicle and this should fix the problem". (Which costed more money). So we agreed and paid them again. And just a few days later we had the same issues and nothing was resolved. Shop asked us to bring the vehicle back in again. This time we were told they did a more "complete diagnosis"and found out a different problem that would cost serval thousands of dollars...WHY was this second diagnosis not completed the first time when they charged the diagnosis fees and before we started the repairs? We were then told that they were aware of this issues because they have other customers before us with the same issues! That's saying that they already new the main issues of this vehicle and yet instead of addressing that prior to the initial repairs they just led us on to pay and throw away $4k of money for parts and labor that didn't resolve of fix the problem. And now on top of that they want to charge another $5k for a final repair. Which at this point I can't even trust them if the problem will be fixed. Tried reaching out several times to see if anything could be done since we invested so much money in their shop. Very little help there and most times no response. Do yourself a favor and find a more trustworthy place that is more transparent and not so misleading. Save yourself from the headache and from wasting time and money. read more

I contacted them for a oil change and got a response and was told basically that their business has become very busy and has no time for menial services like oil changes. I have never been to their shop and this was to be my opportunity to check them out because of their fairly good reviews. Mind you that if you type in oil change in Yelp they pull up at the #2 spot. But in reality when it comes to oil changes they should be at the #0 spot. This may or may not be their doing but they sure use Yelp to advertise their business, so in that way it is their responsibility to update it in some way! read more

We've been to Neue three times now for various fixes to our family cars. Each time, the guys were so helpful, courteous, and just really friendly! Husband had been there twice and loved the service and was extremely happy with the repairs to his car, so it was a no brainer to take my car there when it started to make weird noises. I let them know that this car is my only way to work, and they reassured me it would most likely be completed before my next work day. After leaving the car, they called back promptly with a diagnosis. The estimate was very reasonable. They completed the repairs in a day, and I couldn't have been more grateful! The mechanics over there tried to rip me off. All that they needed to do was clear the code on the car because I previously replaced the engine coil for the second cylinder of my car and the engine light was on for that. I told them that previously my car was shaking at idle and it stopped after I replaced the coil and spark plug. If they actually listened to me they would have heard that I said the shaking and lack of acceleration stopped after I replaced the spark plug and coil. But I went to them to figure out why my engine light was on. They tried to charge me 1000 dollars to do a compression test for my vehicle when nothing was wrong. They also took 3 days to get to my car even though I already had an appointment. Don't waste your time with this auto shop.The car drives completely fine. They also never gave me back my fasteners for my bolts for my engine cover. I specifically gave the fasteners for the bolts to Shane at the front desk and if they looked in the car, they would've seen the bolts next to the engine cover. I would've put on the engine cover if I knew they wouldn't have given me my bolts. And I did ask them to loosen the oil filter because I was going to change the oil at the parking lot right when they gave me the keys. I tried to tell them I definitely was not going to drive when the filter was loose because that would be a hazard on them. I just would never recommend to go them. I ended up going to Oahu Autoshop instead and immediately they told me what was wrong. They told me I did not clear the code. And all I had to pay was $60 for the diagnostic fee. I don't usually leave reviews unless the service was beyond horrible if I could leave a negative star review I would, I just wanna let people know so they don't experience the same thing I did with this auto shop. read more

I was blown away by the customer service provided. Came in as a first time customer and had them check someone else's work on my Jaguar. In the first 5 minutes of speaking with Cody and the other guy at the front (sorry I forgot name), l was pleasantly surprised that they offered a shuttle and when it came time to repair, they actually took the time to explain what was happening to me in a language I could understand. This was my first experience with Neue Auto. I was shopping around for oil change and multi-point inspection service, and consistently getting quoted at ~$110-120 before tax. At these places you drop off the car and pick it up at day's end, or wait for them to finish - this was an issue as I needed to get to the office and none were within walking distance. I submitted an online message on the Neue Auto website on a Sunday when they were closed, and got a call back on Monday. They quoted me more than 25% lower than their competitors! and I felt confident in their quality of service based on existing 116 Yelp reviews reflecting solid 5-star ratings. The jury of my peers got it absolutely right. Nick from Neue discussed my needs on the phone and found one remaining appointment slot for the next day and I found myself driving into Mapunapuna the next morning. Coming from Ahua St., you turn toward Ewa on Awaawaloa which is perpendicular. You can find the address on the left hand side about 3/4 way down the block (I think). There's no big sign on the street though. You will need to walk or drive down a bumpy little road fronting several warehouses in a row, maybe 40 yards or so. There are two other car-related business you will pass before you get to Neue, which does have a name sign. As soon as I got there, Hyo helped me out by letting me leave my car at the lot even though my appointment was for later on in the morning. Best of all, they offer a shuttle service, but since the driver was out on a run, Hyo ordered an Uber to take me to the office. He also asked about when was best for me to pick up my car, and was genuinely interested in working around my schedule. I felt very taken care of, and another friendly crew member, Jared, walked me back to my car and went to move it while I checked the info Hyo had provided on the Uber driver. A driver came quickly and I was downtown in 15 min. Hyo called about 2.5 hours and said that my car was done. He mentioned the brake pads were half way worn down but still had a lot of mileage, and that my windshield wipers should be replaced. I'd been thinking the same thing anytime in the past month while it started raining while i was on the road - the wipers were only clearing the bottom half of the windshield. Hyo ordered and was able to install the wipers right then. When I arrived back there after another Uber pick up on the house, I chatted with Hyo and Nick at the front desk about what I should be watching for with a 10 year old car, any big maintenance I should get ahead of, etc., and they were so welcoming and easy to talk to, sharing a lot of information with me. I asked a bunch of questions about how the brakes are set up differently in the front and the back and how they work and are inspected, what else they check when they inspect, and other things like that. Again, they were really generous with their knowledge and didn't try to upsell anything; they even explained that my brake fluid was a little bit dirty but that I could wait until next year to flush it. Which is great because the holiday spending is already in full force. Based on my visit and experience, I highly recommend Neue. They are trustworthy, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Their prices were more than reasonable, especially considering the shuttle/Uber availability. They even gave me a car freshener with the shop logo on it, that smells like fresh laundry. :) Go check them out and see for yourselves! read more

I haven't been in Oahu for more than 30 days and needed work done on my 2003 TJ Rubicon. I specifically needed my tie rods/drag link assembly replaced so I began shopping around for a decent TRUSTWORTHY garage/mechanic. I came across NEUE AUTO and checked out their reviews. I posted a request for service and after explaining clearly and articulated what I needed done Nick at NEUE was the ONLY garage who replied acknowledged and understood. I even had some moron (I never use that term) who's reply was: What motor do you have? WTF does my motor have to do with my tie rods and drag link???? Of anything ask me if it's lifted! I checked out in person 4 shops including NEUE.....of course I just showed up. Bottom line Nick was slammed like the rest however he understood my situation (alone with my son, wife deployed, no other transport, and reporting to duty tomorrow!). He took me in during a federal holiday and used his resources to get me aligned at another shop as a favor. Not only did he test drive after the work was done but took out of his personal busy schedule to drive and get it aligned. In addition he gave me a factual analysis of and ongoing issue (I was aware of) on my rear axle. Bottom line, Nick reminds me of my own sons and how I raised them to be honest, straightforward, and treat everyone as their own. I felt this was my kid helping me out! I have no idea how long you been in business but you keep it up and you're gonna be one of the most reputable auto garages in Oahu. The price was on point and I would have actually paid what the corporate shops charge an hour. TBH One last thing: DON'T allow for the location of his business to be a factor on your decision to allow him to service or work on your vehicle. read more

I have a Audi A3 Etron, which most shops won't even touch but Nick and Mike knew exactly what they were doing. Great job and service and fast reply to inquiry. Overall, excellent customer service. I asked for a quote to multiple businesses because our car had some leaking and ac problem at around 8pm. My vehicle's service minder light indicated that it was time for an oil change. I jumped on yelp to look for an auto service shop that was affordable and had great customer service. Great customer service used to be a standard here in Hawaii years ago because back in the day the Aloha Spirit was common, and frequently displayed and shared because we are a tourism state, and many of our livelihoods depended on it. Fast forward to these modern times, and Aloha Spirit is greatly lacking here in Hawaii, its quite sad that great customer service has become the exception and no longer the rule. Through Yelp's direct messenger I solicited three different Auto Service Shops to get a quote for an oil change. I picked these 3 shops based on the fact that they are the top 3 rated shops according to Yelp reviews. 1st - Never responded or communicated back to me, even after two days, and they were highly rated. Hmmm? 2nd - Responded back at around mid-day and told me they can't give me a quote without more information from me as they said they carry 5 different brands of oil, and depending on which one I choose (fair enough), so I messaged back with the model, make and year of my car. They responded later that afternoon with a high price, so that counted them out. 3rd - Neue Auto contacted me by phone 2 minutes after I sent my request for a quote, the gentlemen I spoke with was very friendly, and articulate, knew his product well, and was able to give me a quote for service instantly, and the price for service was very reasonable/affordable. Because the response was so quick, it gave me the impression that they take their business and customers seriously and show both great respect. Also because he could answer all of my questions without hesitation and with total confidence left me with the sense that they are trustworthy and honest - no games, not to mention that the customer service was genuine and sincere and not phony. I Immediately booked an appointment with Neue to have my oil changed. They are centrally located in the Mapunapuna area, and easy to find. My first experience with with Neue was on point and went pleasantly without a glitch from beginning to end. Now out of fairness I cannot promise anyone will have the same experience I had which was very positive, but based on how they operate and carry themselves I definitely think the integrity they displayed would warrant you give them a try, then judge for yourself. Lastly I wanted to mention that when I went to pick up my car and pay for my service, I noticed that there was an award on their wall from KITV4, "2021 Best of Hawaii - First Place". Wow ! Ok so I had trouble with my truck for like the past 2 years. I took my tacoma to serveco they supposedly fixed it but the sound started back up. I took it to our family mechanic he did work on it but still the sound would come back. The mechanic retired and I had to fix my alternator so I tried Neue Auto with Nick. After talking to the mechanic Nick I found out he used to be a contractor for all the car dealerships to help fix cars for them. Anyways because my truck couldn't start Neue auto was able to come pick up my truck which really helped me out. I was really shocked because their shop is really busy. Anyways because this was a bigger job it took about 2-3 days to fix especially since they are busy. Nick changed out the alternator and also found the source of my trucks shaking something to do with the AC. He cleaned that out and the truck is so much quieter and doesn't shake. Now price. I was like oh great how much is this doing to cost. But! To my surprise the price was super affordable and he price quotes before he does anything so it's no shocker when you come pick up your car or truck. The customer service is above and beyond. So here's my final thoughts, if you come here NICK IS VERY BUSY he is pretty fast depending on the job, but currently he is the only mechanic. He is very thorough and he will fix whatever is wrong. He is a perfectionist in quality. And quality can not be rushed. So if you want an honest, knowledgeable, and excellent work this is the place. read more

I took my 2017 Audi A4 to Neue Auto for the first time based on a recommendation from an auto parts store. I was very pleasantly surprised that they accommodated me within two days of calling them this week. I just needed a 30,000-mile service. I was met my Mike who did an initial walk around then said he'll call me if any issues were found. None were found.
