Tiny little store filled with many treats. They take credit card if you spend over $15 and also still charge a credit card fee. I love the red licorice wheels and the chocolate lollipops. Gets crowded during the holiday season.

What a sweet find! I came in for the salty black licorice, and for such a tiny shop, their selection is fantastic. The staff were also very friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Nice to know I don't have to travel far when I need a fix.

So many amazing chocolates and licorice

Such a great cute candy and chocolate store! So much licorice and chocolates and candies! Great customer service too!

If you have a sweet tooth, this is certainly the place for you. Homemade chocolates, cookies, and more than 100 types of licorice from around the world. It's a small store filled to the brim! The owner immigrated here and opened this store in 1990 and she is still here, Amazing and inspiring story. Staff was very friendly. Lots of selections but not sure of the quality of the ingredients used. I got a dark and a milk chocolate orange cream and there was definitely artificial coloring. The chocolate did not look or taste to be high quality but are priced as such. I can find no ingredient or cocoa source list anywhere which is concerning. My friend loved it and thought all was great, but I was not so impressed.

A friend recommended we stop in here before a show for a treat and I am so happy we did. This shop is a true gem. The variety of chocolates borders on overwhelming. Sure it's pricey but you get a pretty decent product. I tried 4 different kinds and all were stellar. The beau went for the nonpareils and seemed to like them very much. It can be a bit hectic in the small space but the young women behind the counter seem to know what they are doing. I can't wait to return for more.

Very pricey here. They have lots of selection of goodies. Service was decent. It's a very tiny location. The coconut clusters are expensive but very good here, even though they use white coconut instead of toasted coconut.

The bartender was really chill but once it started getting busy it seemed like the support staff was short, if not rude. All good, overall but just sorta hit weird. The great reviews and overall rating along with the fact they had an emphasis on sour beers (my wife's favorite style of beer) made it a no brainer. Also as you have likely seen they are a women-owned operation so another positive. We did mistakingly walk by it at first but quickly found it. It's a beautifully designed space and more unique than your typical brewery space. Also speaking of they have lots of drinks other than beers, including wines, ciders, cocktails, coffee and a couple NA beers. Due to the impending storm they were closing early but my wife and I each got a beer. I got their New England IPA called Sun Up which was citrusy and juicy with a touch of bitterness/hoppy notes. Then my wife got their fruited sour Peach Berry Punch that definitely had a punch of pink guava and peach but the berry was more subtle. Two great beers with plenty of other styles available too. Service was friendly with a smile and took no time to get our beers. Such a positive experience we plan on returning to give their cocktails a try! An absolute must visit for beer lovers who find themselves near Bryant Park! (Also non-beer lovers since they offer so much more too.)

It didn't wow me. Tasted pretty much like your standard chocolate almonds. I recently decided to give this place another shot to try their highly-raved macarons and OMG... didn't expect a macaron to change my life. The chocolate ganache is heavenly. My favorite might be the "Sylvia", which is milk chocolate ganache + hints of caramel. The worker behind the counter was kind and helpful. I purchased two macaron sets, informing her that one was a present. She graciously offered me an extra gift bag.

How have I never written a review of this remarkable chocolate shop?!…read more La Maison du Chocolat is my all-time favorite chocolate. I am a devotee of dark chocolate, and have tried every dark offering it has. Each is superb, even flavor combinations I haven't historically adored (like orange and chocolate - I know it's popular, but it's just not my favorite). That said, my personal favorite is the Anastasia, a hazelnut and dark praline enrobed in dark chocolate. It is exquisite. Service is always excellent. I've ordered in person and over the phone, and have always been so pleased with the staff. The website is helpful when ordering a variety, but if you'd like an entire box of Anastasia, for example, you have to call the Rockefeller Center store and place the order by phone. They ship once a week, and I always have my box fairly quickly. Boxes make terrific gifts ... including for yourself. If you're walking in, I recommend sitting down to enjoy a few pieces of chocolate, then taking the rest in a box with you. There is a cozy but comfortable seating area in the back just for this. This area is also an ideal place to enjoy some of their drinking chocolate. Highly, highly recommend.
