The staff at this location are wonderful! From the time you walk in and are greeted by the young lady at the service desk ( who greeted me with a smile!) Then I was advised by John one of the mechanics who gave me repair recommendations.( I had visited V.I.P. On Sahara and was told by one of the guys the same repair would be $1200( John said it would be$329)not to mention the mechanic on Sahara wanted me to pay $1200 in cash!) I will never go back to that shop nor will I encourage all that I know to only go to the Charleston location ( my new oil change/ mechanic shop!) The shop was clean, friendly,so very professional! Well, for the starters, this place is not very friendly. I had a little run out with the heavy set guy, the mechanic well my extended warranty from the car send me there to get my AC checked out because it's not blowing cold air but when I went to drop the car, they said we're gonna call you after we check the car then they called me and they said that it wasn't covered by the warranty because of the waiting time according to them OK I called a Warranty we went through that but when I arrived, they were trying to charge me $380 because they said that was $160 from the diagnostic which they never disclosed that with me when I drop the car and then they were charging me the rest for the supposed to be the Freon and when I when I told him I said I never ask you to do that. I never asked you to refill the Freon and this heavy guy got really upset. He said give it to him for free and he was like really mad. After this, I explained him I said so how is it that you are charging me for the Freon? He said well that's the way that we can check if the ac unit is working, but since I questioned him he got really upset. he got really mad and I was like I was not having it and then he said don't charge him nothing but he was really pissed off so when I went to get the car, I start the car they was blowing hot, which he never charged the Freon. All they did was tell us it was wrong part, put seat back in and charged us as if they did the complete job. We have been going here since it open and I totally trust them! They truly explain what the issue is. When I do not understand they take time to explain and even show me the issues. I came to use the oil change voucher for Groupon I was told that some bolt or whatever that's holding my oil in was on too tight and was stripped and he was unable to change my oil because he couldn't loosen some bolt then he tells me I have an oil leak which I did that was from the oil pan. He also mentioned I needed to change my water pump which wasn't the case and he overall tried to charge me $1000 + to fix 2 issues at the most. Well I was able to get the parts and the labor done for just under half of what they were trying to charge. They overall tried to Rip me off so here is my review. My car terminology is not up to par. Great service but they take to long. I came in for an oil change and ac fill up. They told me that I might have a small leak and the price was 250 to fix. I know I could find a place cheaper to do the work in California or at least try. Then I pay for my car and it's been over almost 2 hours and I still haven't gotten my car back they replaced the cabin filter and my oil in about 2 1/2 hours. I have been to places that are able to change your oil in less than 20 minutes. This place was really good they had a good deal for an oil change and they got us in pretty quick on a weekend which is really good with no reservation as well. They were efficient and got the car done quicker than we thought and they were very friendly. We probably will end up going back there again because they were really good. They honor the warranty with any repair..The mechanics are trustworthy, I highly recommend..I have had work on my air-conditioning (blow motor and relay) replaced the radiator and thermostat, what they have repaired is working as it should . This company "worked" on my condenser for my Hyundai Santa Fe SUV. It was cracked and I was somewhat aware of that. Approximately 10 months later I returned to have my vehicle serviced and was informed by the same company that it was a cracked condenser along with a few other things! The repair man told me that I must've hit something, however that wasn't the case. I was unable to pay for the same thing to get repaired TWICE (in less than a year), so I reapplied for the snap finance and got approved again. Now after doing some research I now know that the "experienced" repair men didn't fix the condenser correctly or AT ALL when I Initially took the vehicle up there! Now I've spent more than what the vehicle is worth due to the fact that they tried to get over on me! They simply pulled my information up from the last time my vehicle was serviced with them, and told me that it was something that it may not have been! I wasn't informed on whether the condenser was under warranty, which goes to show how fraudulent this company is! I don't recommend going through this fraudulent company or leasing the parts through their finance department because they will screw you over like they did me! I came to this place a few months ago to get a smog check no problem everything went perfect, and they also sent me home with a list of things that needed to be addressed. I was thankful and happy, I came back to get my truck worked on and that's when big problems started to pop up. They wanted to charge me almost 5 grand to fix everything wrong with my truck which is crazy, I left that day and went to another shop for them to only charged me $136, come to find out they didn't put any transmission fluid in my truck. What a bad experience they told me to wait a least 1 hours for a smog check, when that takes less than 10 minutes to do

Because I work with customer service I avoid as much as possible exposing any company or making complaints like this, but this is my penultimate resource to see if we are really taken seriously, because I don't believe the company owner or the person really responsible knows this situation. I will try to summarize as this nightmare has been going on for almost 3 months. About 3 months ago our car was taken to charleston's VIP for a routine service (change of brakes/tires/etc) and the mechanic/manager in charge offered to do a transmission oil change service as it was time. We accept the recommendation because he who is supposed to be the expert recommended it. On the same day when we went to pick up the car, a light on the dashboard was on indicating that the transmission needed service (this light had never appeared in our car) and when we went for a test drive the car did not have the transmission working properly and then the beginning of the nightmare. The mechanic a little nervous and feeling guilty said not to worry as he would help us by passing a person's contact to buy a used transmission but still with a warranty around $1000 and that he would only charge $500 for the service, thus reducing our expense (That was our mistake). The transmission was only delivered after 4 weeks and when we arrived at the VIP to do the service we were informed that the Mechanic/manager no longer worked at the company (I believe I am not following the company's standards) and that what he said did not make sense , that the amount would go from $1,500 to $4,000 and since we had no signed $1,500 budget document, we were forced to agree as we needed the car and were spending $980 a month on a rental car. 5 days later we were informed that the transmission that arrived was not correct, now by a second manager, but that they would provide another one and that in 10 days the car would be ready. 10 days later we went to get the car and the reverse didn't work, without patience I demanded to talk to someone really responsible and we met BOB, who was willing to solve the problem saying he would order a third transmission and that supposedly last Thursday the car would be ready. On Friday we went to pick up the car, and to our unpleasant surprise the second manager/mechanic had also supposedly stopped working at the company and the new manager said that their part of their work was done, but they identified a "new" problem but that wouldn't solve it by offering us $1,000 off to get the car back the way it was. I said no, that I know my rights and that I needed to talk to BOB. He said he would be in another store of the group, and after going to more than 3 stores looking for someone to solve the problem, I couldn't talk to the person in charge. The new manager took my phone number again and said that by the end of the day Bob or someone responsible would get in touch with me. Today is complete the 4 days I wait for someone's call. We're not being taken seriously, our loss has already passed $6,000 because we've spent over $2,100 on car rentals and I still feel like I'm being treated with total disregard, as if they were doing me a favor. I hope someone can pass this on to the person in charge, because I've "begged" to have the email, phone or any contact for someone to solve my problem, but as always, they say they can't pass this information on. 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander read more

Las Vegas is special and we don't waste time when there are way too many Honest and Reputable places in town- to be treated this way! The nerve. 1st and last time in this place! You know how they call you over before they begin work on your auto. Kinda tired of the upsale but followed the clipboard carrying tech to my dirty but well-maintained Ford Raptor truck. Tech 'JJ' will appreciate this review. Along the way he tells me he can't change my oil because it is leaking too much oil and has too many oil leaks. I smelled the upsale that I just about had it with and said, No problem, I am out of here. The upsale is when you go to a dealership or less than reputable place for service, in this case an oil change. The Tech or Specialist person in a pressed collared polo or button up shirt tries to convince you that you need something that you actually don't. For example: air filter, motor mounts, engine overhaul, brake pads, power steering cleaning etc...I am truly sorry if this happened to you. As a $20-$40 visit can quickly turn into a $200 or even thousands of dollar visits! Well, I didn't even give him a chance to go that route. Told the tech I don't have 1 drop of oil in my driveway. To his defense, "You can't see it because of the skid plate."I'm sure You reading this review(including JJ) and I are car aficionados. We know what an oil leak is and symptoms of an oil leak. I work on my truck, my class A RV, 2 dirt bikes and even on my wife's Tesla. Symptoms are burnt oil smell, low oil level, oil stained driveway etc...Taking me for a fool. Once inside Tech tells me truck could catch fire etc. good thing he didn't raise my truck, he would have probably told me he couldn't legally put it back down until he fixed it$$! I told him loud and clear, "I am going to my mechanic right now and if he says the same thing you said, I will come right back to apologize. But if not, you will hear from me on website. In the matter of 10min, I got my answer from my personal mechanic at a very reputable auto repair business near Decatur and Vegas Dr. My mechanic was expecting me, took a look under my hood and said, " What oil leak?" Said dirty but no oil leak just the usual dirty engine. He told me not to go back to complain as they would not give me the time of day but to turn to my Yelp friends, DMV and the Bureau! Yes, this place has my name number and address. I typically don't give any of that out. Lesson learned. But in a bid to reveal their unscrupulous culture of business, I will try my darndess to send over in the next few days, weeks, months or up to a year, a few undercover investigative reporters to record their tactics on sound and multiple angle videos. I invite any response from VIP on this forum. I did mention that I was on-call at the local hospital. So...I really didn't have time to stop for an extremely important oil change, let alone the trouble I went through including pulling over at this DMV to report this business. Recalling the slight "commotion" when my car was being moved, I thought for sure that's when it happened. So I went back on 7/14 to see the manager. He patiently explained to me that his guys couldn't have done it, even shared with me the surveillance tape to prove his point - and he was right! I may never know for sure how the wheel was damaged, but I know VIP guys are courteous professionals. Kudos to the cashier/receptionist who received me on both days! Total rip off. I went to get a smog test. My check engine light was on. Needed my battery jumped. They said I needed a new battery and an alternator. They quoted me a price of $897 for the Alternator.I had a warranty with the battery at a different location. I took it there. They installed the battery, and my vehicle has worked great ever since. No alternator is needed. What's more, they insisted that they could give me a smog test even though the check engine light was on. It failed. My regular mechanic told me that it will never pass with a check engine light on. These dishonest people knew that and still insisted on doing the smog test. So that they could make some money. I hate dishonest people. Btw...if I needed an alternator, it would cost me $340 total at an honest mechanic. read more
