This is a gem in Reno. Being from Washington wine country, it is difficult to find food wine while traveling. My husband and I stumbled upon this place while walking to another business downtown. All the reds we tasted were excellent and the Tempranillo was excellent! This will definitely be a stop for us every time we come to town.

Reno's only winery! Wonderful tasting room within walking distance of the downtown casinos. The owner serves you and is a fun guy. He's knowledgeable about the wine, and good to talk to. The wines are dry with most fruit coming from nearby California.

Aaaannnndddd one of our fav wine places! Amazing wine and friendly staff! Some great snacks from Obour Foods! They have a few spaces available to host your special events that are really nice. (we had our company xmas party here that was catered by Reno Bar and Grill, fun night! Go check them out!

I have walked by this place many times while visiting other great bars and breweries in the area. I finally made time to stop in for some pre-dinner drinks. The space is much larger than I expected with plenty of seating options. We were greeted by one of the owners who explained how their wines are made and where they source the grapes. Very interesting stuff. The flight for $20 gave me an opportunity to try everything they had on their current menu, which changes based on which wines they have ready to drink. The pours were pretty good. The pricing on the per glass and per bottle prices seemed ok, maybe a tad higher than a restaurant. My favorites were the red wines. The Cabernet was especially nice. They also have a small selection of non-wine and NA options. I would probably stop by for a glass of wine again if I was in the area and craving some red wine. Cheers.

Thankful to the donation to AACT High school!

What a great vibe and experience! One of the reasons I'm not drawn to wineries is the snobby clientele. That is not at all what I experienced here! Everyone was very welcoming and jovial. We were sharing our different favorite imbibing spots around the city and delighting in the delicious wine in front of us. We had a quick tutorial from the owner which made it all the more enjoyable. Definitely a spot to hit!

What cute place! Service was also amazing. We were immediately greeted as we walked in. They offer wine by the glass/bottle or you can do a tasting flights. I opted for the tasting flight. I love that they are a winery and not just a wine bar. We bought a few bottles to take home. They also offer some swag items you can purchase as well!! We will definitely be back!!

    The table arrangement.

Nevada Sunset Winery was the perfect spot for Celebrating Kaitlin and Jayson's Betrothal party. Everyone loved the wine selection Our favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc and the Sangiovese. They also offer wine slushies. The atmosphere was perfect for an intimate gathering of family and friends. I highly recommended reaching out to Kate to book your next event. It's the perfect place for a Birthday Party, Micro wedding or Anniversary Party. Do your self a favor and try a flight of wine at this full production winery.

Stopped In Saturday for a wine tasting while visiting Reno! So glad I did. The two Owners Alynn and Mike were so nice and friendly. Alynn was our server she was super sweet and so informative about the wines they carry. They serve wines for two different wineries. Nevada Sunset and Great Basin. The Great Basin menu didn't offer a wine tasting, but you can purchase the bottles of wine there. We did the white wine flight for $8 which comes with 3 wines: Reno Sparkles, 19 Chardonnay, and the Grenache white. My favorite out of the three was the Reno Sparkles. Which would work great for a mimosa! We also did the Red wine Flight for $8 three wines. Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, and the Petite Sirah. My favorite in the Red was the Pinot Noir. The ambiance was very nice. Bright seating area and they also have a bar as well you can sit at. I look forward to come back when visiting Reno!

Bar / Tasting area! TV to watch sports is a bonus!

Stumbled upon this winery while on a brewery tour and had the pleasure of meeting and being served by one of the owners (Alynn). My companions and I opted to do a flight of both red and white and my absolute favorites were Grenache White and their Pinot Noir. Alynn was great in explaining the history of the winey, as well as where the grapes come from (predominately Lodi) and how the wine is made locally! She also provided us with some additional local recommendations and insights. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I plan to go back to visit! Note: Nevada Sunset and Great Basin Winery share this location, I did not sample Great Basin as they did not offer tastings. Additionally they do not offer snacks or bites for purchase however there was a food truck right outside!

How is it that I am first to review? I gave it a try last night with Yelp friends new and old for an "Unofficial Yelp Event" (UYE). I must say, the quality of service on the part of the owners, the nice assortment of wines for tasting and the personalized tour of their production facilities made it a most enjoyable experience. Alynn and Mike were the ultimate hosts and made all of us feel like we were invited to their home to sip wine and discuss the growth of local wine making in Nevada. I now see why this is developing into a most popular gathering spot for wine enjoyment. I look forward to a return visit.

I stopped in here while I was waiting for an event at black rabbit need a company next-door. They were having a special function here, but one of the owners, Alynn, and Co- winemakers invited me to try some of the wine. She gave me a glass of Napa wine. It was a 2020, a little bit young, however quite good for its young age. She gave me A really nice wine glass, and then asked me if I wanted to take it next door to just switch to glasses. Which I did. Really nice experience and this is what one would expect from a locally owned business/winemaker. It was a great introduction, and I will definitely be back to sample some more of their wines.

Found this wine tasting room by accident while visiting Lead Dog Brewing next door, and it's now my new favorite spot in Reno! The owners and the customers are so nice and some of their regulars even help out with refilling waters and chatting with us about different wines! We opted for wine tasting which is only $8 for 3 wines, you can choose red or white. We even got to try a couple extra! I highly recommend coming here, especially if you love good wine!

I love this winery especially on Girl Scout Cookie wine pairing time. Staff and owners are excellent, plenty of seating in the back and delicious wines.

This wine bar has a variety of wine from all around the world. Some expected wines from France and California, but also some more obscure ones from places such as Austria, so there is something for every taste! You can both order a wine by the glass or buy a bottle, which they will open for you to have onsite and that you can also take home if you don't finish it. Their prices are fair for a bottle and I wish I had done that instead of ordering a glass. The service was great! We had a huge group, yet the server was super patient and provided great recommendations to everyone. She was running around the whole time to take care of us and other patrons, but always did it with a smile on her face. I never felt rushed. They have limited snack options for purchase but allow you to bring in your own snacks as well. Finally, the space. It is on the smaller size but we were able to fit our group in without issues, while still leaving some open tables for other patrons. They also provide service on a handful of outdoor tables. The only minor issue is they had live music which felt quite loud in such a small place, but when asked, they were able to lower the volume a bit which was very nice of them!

The tour started with the lower level of the Renaissance Hotel (who provided water and a snack) for a introduction, a historical set-up (in costume) and fun "throw the cards" warm-up. Once outside (fully masked) and "on the road", our tour stops included the old Post Office/West Elm, the Reno Courthouse, the Virginia Street Bridge, Space Whale/Site of old Mapes Hotel, Old Riverside Hotel, one of Reno's historic old Alleys, and Belle Island. In between were stories of hangings, rings thrown from the bridge, missing person/mob hits, possible prohibition liquor runs through alleged tunnels, and of course the church where the finale of Sister Act was filmed. There were also magic tricks, bad jokes, a look up in the sky gag for tour add-ons, a fake birthday song tribute to a surprised restaurant patron, and a very enjoyable and interactive outdoor experience. The expedition ended back at the hotel with a ring magic trick, a bit historical letter reveal, and appreciation for a job well done.
