Fix the products they sell properly and under warranty without the customers being forced to pay. It's ridiculous. This is the 3rd time my vehicle has been in their shop for a repair regarding faulty parts from Fords Dearborn plant. My truck has 2600 miles on it and now the hubs and diff are bad. read more

I brought my 2014 Ford Escape to New Brighton Ford's service department due to a failed transmission. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership at my own expense and was shocked to find it sat there for nearly three weeks before any action was taken or communication received from the warranty company. During this time, I was not provided a loaner vehicle, even though my warranty clearly covered the transmission/ powertrain. Once the dealership finally received warranty approval to repair the transmission, I was then issued a loaner car. About a week later, I was informed my vehicle was ready. However, I was told that certain parts used in the transmission repair were not covered under warranty--despite the transmission itself being the covered component. As a result, I was forced to pay over $700 out of pocket, on top of my $100 deductible, for these "uncovered" parts. This was incredibly frustrating and feels unjustified given the warranty terms. Unfortunately, the situation worsened. I picked up my car on a Friday evening. By Saturday afternoon, I was stranded on the side of the road. The vehicle was overheating and leaking coolant everywhere. I contacted the dealership immediately. Orlando from New Brighton Ford told me he would speak with a sales manager and call me back. Shortly thereafter, he confirmed that they would send a tow truck to retrieve the vehicle--again, at my expense, despite it being their tow and their repair work. After the vehicle sat at the dealership for another three days, I received a call stating that the coolant leak was due to a damaged radiator, and that it would not be covered under the warranty. They quoted me over $2,000 to fix this issue. I refused. At this point, I strongly believe the radiator damage was caused during the original transmission repair, yet the dealership has taken no responsibility. Now, I am left with an undrivable vehicle that I am still making payments on. The dealership has shown no accountability, left me stranded multiple times, charged me excessive and questionable fees, and created more problems than they resolved. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I caution anyone considering service at New Brighton Ford: Do not trust this service department. They are disorganized, dishonest, and unwilling to stand behind their work. They mishandled my car, my warranty, and my time--leaving me with an even worse situation than when I arrived. read more

We bought a used 2015 Ford Escape 3 years ago. It has less than 135,00 miles but needs a new transmission and torque converter - an $8500 repair. We found out those are known issues with Ford Escapes of that year and that there are class action lawsuits in several states because of it, but no recalls yet. Although they knew that was an issue when we bought the car, they did not tell us. If we had known, we would have purchased the warranty or avoided the car altogether. We asked the dealership to pay for the repair because of that, and they would not. Now we have a car we cannot drive or sell back to the dealership. We are disappointed that they did not work with us to resolve this and don't trust them to buy future cars, even though we have bought several in the past. read more

Came in to test drive a car. Was treated like a child from the start (I'm a month short of 40). Explain what I was looking for in general, including some important features. He offered no discussion about features and differences besides asking me if blue was okay. When I was initially hesitant to email my proof of insurance to the sales person he started to get flustered. I shared I didn't want to deal with a bunch of sales emails after he said he wouldn't so I went ahead and emailed it. When we walked out to the car he went to get in the car and when I asked if it was standard to come along on the test drive he was baffled. I shared that I've not had a sales person test drive a car with me for more than 10 years and I said if it was policy that was fine. I'm just so used to them handing me the keys to the point I kind of wish they would at least start off with me so they can show me around the new features. Then he just straight up asked me if I didn't want to work with him. I was completely taken aback. He said i had refused to send my insurance, and i could just tell him if I wanted to work with someone else. I just ended up handing him back the keys and leaving. So disappointing I specifically went to this dealership because the last time I went to check out a ford several years ago at a different ford dealership in the area I was completely ignored despite being the only person in the show room. read more

I originally made an appt. for a recall on my Escape at North Country Ford because it was closer but unfortunately they needed it all day and had no complimentary rental for me nor did they seem aware of the recall. So I called New Brighton Ford and they were aware of the recall and they have mechanics who can fix this in their quick service lane, yay! I brought it in without an appt. at 2pm Monday and they were backed up at that point but was out of there at 2:15 with a complimentary rental and was able to get my car Tuesday at 10:30am and was out in 10 min! This review only pertains to the poorly-run Service department at the New Brighton Ford dealership. If you look at other reviews, you will notice a pattern. Please avoid this place!!! Non-existent communication has been a constant problem with this place. I had to call to check on the status of my car at least 4 times; left a voicemail twice. I did not hear back from anyone from the dealership until the third day ... after calling multiple times trying to get a hold of someone. The long-haired hippie I worked with in the Service department - Tim H. - was extremely unprofessional. No apologies or reasoning as to why there was no communication. This isn't the first time this has happened. The last time I brought my car to this place ... the same thing happened. But I decided to let it go. Doesn't look like things have improved. Communication is definitely not one of their strong points. Also, I made an appointment to bring my car in. I was told it would take a day or two. They did not even work on the car till the third day - after I had called repeatedly to check on the status of the repairs. Not sure what the point of the appointment was. The repairs were going to cost me about $2000. Based on the appalling experience with the Service department thus far, I decided to have it fixed elsewhere. I'd rather give my business to a place that will treat their customers better. Needless to say, I will not be bringing my car to this dealership in the future, and I would encourage other people to stay away from this place. read more

I bought my vehicle here and the dealership side of things were 10/10, I had no problems, everyone was nice and responsive. When I came in for my 5K oil change to the quicklane, it was like day and night. I sat for 1 hour since arriving and handing over my keys until someone asked why I was here. Over 2 hours later I left with my oil changed. The service lady tried her best to make it right with a free detailing but when you value time like I do there isn't much more you can do. Beware, they have a lot to work on but I'm hopeful it turns around because I really did like the dealership. Update: The free detailing was a originally a GOLD package, was conveniently whited out and over written with BROZEN package. I called before I came in to assure that everything would go without problems. The gentleman told me 45 minutes to an hour. I am sitting here an hour and fifteen minutes later and was just updated that it would be another 30 minutes- "the technician is really making it nice, he's on the carpets right now" well I have vinyl floors and the BROZEN detail package doesn't include the floors.. I AM DONE with this place all together. read more

I would literally buy a new car before dealing with this place again. I first called and asked if I would be able to be looked at right away when I arrived and I was told over the phone that they would be able to get me in immediately when I arrived. And when I arrived I had to wait 5 hours before they could even look at my issue. When I arrived I had also informed them of what the problem was and what they needed to fix it (which is half of their job). I had informed them that the tail light was out and that they needed to order a new assembly and they insisted that it was a bulb. (You would think they would know they're own Ford manufactured mustangs tail light was led). If they would have listened they could have had the part their by the time they finally got around to looking at it. But instead they called me and informed me that the whole assembly had to be swapped out. Which is what I told them in the first place. So I had to come back the next day because by the time they ordered the tail light it was too late. I come back the next day to another long wait before my car can be looked at, to find that the replacement tail light was physically broken. After they finally got another tail light and replaced it I left very disgruntled only to find when I got home that they forgot to put in a piece of the tail light. (I won't complain about the scratches accrued by my car during the installation of the tail light). So I call them to setup an appointment to get the part they forgot added to the car. On the phone I try to explain what part they forgot but they barely take the time to try and figure it out before saying "just bring it in so I can see because I highly doubt we forgot a part. I would say I'm surprised by the fact that, I could have very easily explained over the phone to a knowledgeable individual what piece was missing but I shouldn't be surprised after the LED incident earlier where they didn't know that their own car used LEDs and not fluorescents. So I drive to the shop only for some kid to come out and go "oh yeah definitely forgot that, I'll order it for you" and that was about 3 weeks ago. So I called back today and was told by the guy I had been working with the whole time that he's not here and I'll have to call back tomorrow. As if their system doesn't track literally anything, yeah f****** right. read more

Where to start, this place is an absolute joke. I purchased my car from this dealership and that process was not bad however, everything since that time has been horrific. They offer a lifetime powertrain warranty but only if you get your car serviced through them. They claim to offer Fords a famous quick lane service. This is not true, they will turn you down at the drop of a hat. if you're not in by 7 AM. I brought my car in today at 7 AM was the fourth person in line to get lube and oil, and they tried to tell me that they were full for the day and come back another day. I can go to any for the Quick Lane even at 5 PM and get right in. However, I cannot do that with their power train warranty or it is voided. So I have to go here to New Brighton Ford. I also purchased an extended warranty through the dealership I asked the service department to look at an issue I was having with the car. They told me they cannot do that without charging me. I said I had purchased the extended warranty from this dealership. They told me that they have no record of that. They don't keep record of what the sales department sells. I had to go to my car dig it up and show that to them and then they complain just to look at the issue case in point do not buy a car from this place do not take sir your car for service for this place. I brought my car in for an appointment and the older man at the front seemed like I was ruining his day by letting him know that I wanted my oil changed and to add some additional repairs. For the additional repairs I needed to speak with Tim. I went down the hall and spoke with Tim and when I came back to the front the older gentleman was upset with Tim and made a scene. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. If I could leave a negative review I would. If you want any work done from the service/ quicklanes department , you will most likely be greeted with a rude attitude and patronizing answers. That is if you are fortunate enough to get any kind of communication from the dealership at all. They dodge customers that have had their vehicles there for days or even weeks. It doesn't matter how many times you call, or how many voicemails you have left. They're not getting back to you about your vehicle. Unless you physically go in and demand information. The only person that has their head on straight is Brett in the service department, but one person can only do so much. Management is not trained for their jobs. The managers are so lost it takes a lot of time and effort to make them understand the simplest processes and functions. Management has no clue how to run anything. The company is overly micro-managed and has no structure of people who know what they are doing or how things should be ran. Higher up workers treat us as if we are scum. I've had my converters stolen twice in the past two years. Last year was a little rough in the communication department but they got the job done and in a decent timeframe. This time around I worked with a service manager named Dan. This guy was phenomenal on communicating in the process and timeline of repair. He even gave me a call on a gap day just to let me know that he was waiting for an update on the part delivery. He took the secondary stress levels away that accompany being down a vehicle and not having a ton of knowledge in that arena. Well done, Dan. Bought a used f350 with 80,000 miles from them, they literally lied to my face about checking over it and doing any kinda service...... They literally detailed it and put it on the lot, I soon found out the hard way all the stuff they didn't check/fix , then it was a nightmare attempting them to cover any of it, which they only gave me " a deal " on fixing it , it was the high pressure oil pump ( they aren't cheap ) then all the rest of the stuff I had to pay full repair price out of pocket ........ Will NEVER buy anything from this place and I'm on the fence if I'll ever own another ford. Mind you, when all the problems started I owed it for about a month and put about two thousands miles on it. Each time I have brought my vehicles to them there is some issue, either they dont see the appointment scheduled, or they need to order something or short on employees! I understand its Covid time and its hard to keep employees but that is no excuse for poor service and damage to my truck! went for an oil change well as usual they can not find the appointment! Dear Supervising staff at New Brighton Ford, I am writing because I am very angry about how I was cheated at the New Brighton Ford sales and repair department. Initially I brought in my vehicle that I bought at New Brighton Ford, with what I thought was a canister purge valve issue. I even showed a video of what my vehicle was doing and said that I believed it was a purge vale issue. Everything I read pointed to this. I brought my vehicle in an they said it wasn't a purge valve issue. So, $2000 later I get my Ford f150 back and it is supposed to be fixed, right? Nope, the same thing happened again. They vehicle would have a difficult time starting after filling up the gas tank. I brought my vehicle back to get it diagnosed again. While I was there I went to look at new Ford f150's. I happened to mention to the sales person that my truck was in the shop. After leaving with the salesperson I went back to my car and realized I gave the repair guys my entire key set. When I went back there, there was that same exact salesperson I just talked to talking with the repair guys about my truck. Why? He had no business doing that. I get a call that my truck had been diagnosed and that it was the canister purge valve that was broken. This is the EXACT same thing I brought my vehicle in for the first time before that they said wasn't the issue. They now tell me that a purge valve replacement was $945! I told them that this was the same exact issue I brought my vehicle in the first time for. The repair representative told me "well, you're going to trade it in anyways". He would have never known that unless he spoke to the salesperson. I looked up the cost of a purge valve repair and it averaged around $122. The part itself was $35. They bumped up the cost of my repair from what should have been a $122 charge to a whopping $945 with the hopes that I wouldn't do the repair and just trade it in. This is is absolutely not acceptable. This is cheating a regular customer of New Brighton Ford, and it is wrong. I have called the repair manager and complained about this and asked that they contact me immediately. I am also sending this letter to the State Attorney General and let them know about this kind of cheating and mal treatment of their customers that is going on by certain individuals at New Brighton Ford. I am extremely disappointed in this action and I want to see it corrected or I will never buy or bring a vehicle back to New Brighton Ford. I went to New Brighton Ford to get my clutch fixed, as I received a letter in the mail about a recall they had on the part. Luckily for me, I did not have to cover any of the costs. I called ahead, scheduled an appointment, and went to drop off my car on a Monday morning. Over the phone, I was not quoted how long the repair would take, but they did say it should be ready by Wednesday at 4pm when I arrived. Andy was the technician who helped me through the process. While he was very professional, I was frustrated to hear when he called me Tuesday afternoon when he said it would be ready Thursday at 4pm and not Wednesday (I needed the car for work Wednesday night). Instead of apologizing for thr extra time in the shop, he just told me I needed to understand how big of a job it was. Aside from that service, I was pleased by Logan who picked me up and dropped me off at the dealership. Very nice driver and on time when i needed a ride. I just returned from driving to NB Ford with my F150 still under warranty and the service guy was sleepy, constantly yawning and dressed like he just walked in from a bender at an all night biker bar.. Doesn't Ford have some dress standards for the dealers employees? Very unprofessional looking and more importantly I don't think he had any idea about my issue nor did he convince me that he had the slightest knowledge on the subject. I will never go back there. I bought a 2021 Gt 500 for over sticker and the next summer which is now I wanted a oil change? Simple enough I thought, but oh no!!! Well after condescending and rude service it turned out ford new Brighton don't have a oil filter for the car, fair enough. Then I drove the car home and garaged it only to find the oil filler cap was taken off and not put back on, luckily I checked the motor because of past incompetence I've experienced with this dealer. I was pretty sure things wouldn't work out in my favor, but I was wrong! I had the pleasure of working with three gentlemen that went over and above for my family. The first person who got things going for us was Chris Kyes. I spoke with him over the phone a few times and he assured me he could help me out. He got the ball rolling then passed it over to the man that found us our new car, Jerry Carroll. Jerry got us a great deal at a great price that we were comfortable with. We were treated with respect and generous support. Then I was introduced to Luke Yarbrough who helped us finalize everything. He explained some great benefit options we had and was even able to lower our payments. We love our new car! It's big enough for our children to sit comfortably and still has plenty of space. We bought two engine replacements from this company for our Ford trucks. Both engines did not even make it a combined total of 50k miles. After losing the first engine, we were disappointed, but understand that things happen and sometimes it just isn't your day. After our experience losing the second engine, I would say this company has zero ability to hold itself accountable for poor performance. Not only is the engine shot, they improperly diagnosed the issue with the second engine, racking up repair bills that they are forcing us to pay even though it certainly would qualify as a repair. Beyond that, they intimated that it might even be our fault that the engine didn't make it past 30,000 miles. Seriously, less than 30,000 miles on a diesel truck engine and they have the audacity to blame us even though the first engines in both of those vehicle went over 130k miles. Do yourself a favor and find a dealer that doesn't blame it's customers for their poor performance. read more

I very rarely write reviews (as you can see, this is my first on Yelp), but we had a horrible experience with the service department here that I wanted to share so that I can hopefully save at least one person from having to deal with this place. Short Version: Avoid, avoid, avoid. We were told just what we wanted to get us in the door but they didn't follow through on their promises. They couldn't provide a basic service in place of a complicated (more expensive) one, even when we asked - probably because they knew we were already there with a car that needed work and that our tight timeline wouldn't allow us to keep jump-starting it and driving it around town. They were snide and condescending when we tried to ask questions. They ended up costing us more time and money than if we'd just gone to a local auto parts store in the first place. 2nd time trying for a Quick Lane oil change, last time I left after waiting over 30 minutes, then they moved my car from the service bay to the parking lot telling me it would be a while before they could get to it. This morning I was told "Quick Lane" oil change would be 3+ hours and encouraged to drop the car off. I don't understand why they continue to advertise Quick Lane when it doesn't exist. If you need service DO NOT GO HERE. Lazy, inexperienced staff. I'm pretty sure my service writer Tim was high and clueless as to what was wrong with my car. He gave me one price over the phone and when I showed up the bill was $700 higher then what I was told. Let that sink in....when I asked to speak with a manager it took them 4 DAYS to get back to me, at which tome I didn't have a vehicle because I refused to pay that bill. And when I finally spoke with the assistant manager because I was sick of waiting for a call back, I was treated poorly and not given much of a break in repairs. They also charge to diagnose (even if you tell them what is wrong) and then charge you full price for the repairs...so you take it apart after I tell you what's wrong, verify I was right, put it back together, charge me full labor. THEN charge me full labor again to take it apart AGAIN and replace the part. BIGGEST CROOKS IVE EVER DEALT WITH!! And they are a union shop, what a disgrace to the Teamster Local 974 read more

My 2014 Ford Focus is no good, Ford is no good and New Brighton Ford has been less than helpful. It is on a manufacturer's recall for transmission module. Ford and the dealership have no solutions except to wait up to 6 months for the part! My car is sitting out in the elements for the first time as it is was always in the garage till now. I read online that red paint fades the quickest, I am very worried as the tires are going to go bad, the gas will go bad, the gas tank will start rusting soon, I doubt they are starting it weekly and the battery will be fried. It really seems like they really could care less. I was really looking forward to the new Maverick truck coming out but I will not be doing that now. I will wait till Nissan and Toyota have what I want. My first Ford was a Falcon Wagon and my last Ford will be a Focus. Former Ford loyalist. read more

Avoid their service department unless it's an emergency repair. I recently had my vehicle towed there after it would not start. My initial call to the Service department was fine. I spoke with Andy and he took my details and advised it could be up to a week before they could look at my vehicle but said they would try to do it sooner since it was towed in. The next day, I called in again and spoke to Tim. He was rude and unprofessional. When I asked him if there was an updated date for when my vehicle might be checked out, his response was "I don't even know where the damn thing is! I went out and looked this morning and couldn't find it." I replied with a shocked "ok," and he said they would call when they had any update. Fast forward four days, and I still hadn't heard anything. I called and left a voicemail, and Tim called back a few hours later and said simply "your car is done." No explanation of what was wrong. No explanation of whether the extended warranty covered the issue. No mention of the cost for the repair. When I went to pick up my car, it appeared that the repair was completed at least a couple days prior. The car was parked in snow and had no foot or tire tracks around it. The last time it snowed was two days prior. Finally, there was snow on the floor of the car and my owner's manual was removed from the glove box and left on the passenger seat outside with some other items from my glove box. Overall, the poor attitude of the service advisor (Tim, in particular) and the odd condition they left my car in was less than desired. If I have a choice where to bring it in the future, I would not bring it here. read more

I received a voicemail with someone else's personal information on it and my down payment was screwed up not once but twice resulting in extra trips to the dealership. Best part is I bought my vehicle in June and still don't have license plates. When I inquired about it I was told they didn't charge me for them.... odd because my paperwork states they did and they gave me a temporary tag in my window. read more

Very poor. Service manager, Andy, failed to alert me that my signature warranted them free reign to do any work, charge any amount, and never a once alert me of work or cost before doing it. Service Manager Ted said a few sorry's but that's as far as he went. I went in for a free passenger air bag recall. I came out with $330 bill. Disappointing. Was my 1st visit. Should have never gone in. Sold my car even, such a waste. Shared with Ted I would be so inclined to leave an honest review if we could not get a proper resolution. Deserves zero stars. Just picked up my Fusion which went into their service department for brake repairs and their opinion about a trunk latch. After the car sat in their parking lot for 54 hours, I got the keys and drove around to the Quick Lane service area and the repairs were completed in an hour and a half. Andy thought that it was funny that I was upset about having the car sit there for so long with nothing being done. Needless to say I will never go back there again. Michael N. read more

Went in to get a replacement part for a pos Ford. Mark Sloped the the piece of shit service flat out refused to replace the part that has less then 4 miles that there own mechanic put in.... Will not ever buy anything from this dealership worst customer service ever read more
