A little neighborhood gem! On our evening walk we passed by New China Express and decided to get takeout since they're open until 9pm. We ordered the Chicken Broccoli ($14.99 ) and the Tofu Vegetables ($13.99) which were ready for takeout in less than 10 minutes! Really good portions and they were friendly as well. Will be returning!

Great food and fast service lady taking orders is always polite! prices are different on the inside menu and there's not a lot of space to sit down and eat but the food is always amazing! I love the fried rice so much it's my go to and packaging is super sturdy!

Family run business near by, from the time I order to the moment the delivery person is at my door is 20 min max! Very tasty! You get free delivery on their site and they usually have a free something with x amount of money spent. I am definitely a new regular!

A great neighborhood spot that's truly a hidden gem. I'm shocked this place doesn't have better reviews, as the quality and taste of food here is MUCH better than most Chinese American take out style restaurants in Seattle. Good portions, quick friendly service, and tasty comfort food-all cooked with well tenderized and marinated meat. This is actually one of the only restaurants that velvet their meat-a step most Chinese restaurants in Seattle skip. Depending on what you order, some dishes are prepared more authentic and home style than others. 1. Broccoli beef: well tenderized beef, good portion, good flavor. Good amount of sauce. 2. Honey walnut shrimp: lightly battered, decent sized shrimp, not over cooked. Wish they gave a bit more sauce, and a couple more pieces of shrimp. But overall, a good flavorful dish and decent portion. 3. Honey walnut chicken: good portion, but needed more sauce as it was a bit dry. The chicken is lightly coated in flour before being deep fried, vs dipped in a wet batter and then deep fried. I preferred the honey walnut shrimp to the chicken as it was a bit saucier. 4. Hand pulled noodles: really good and a must get! I am addicted to this dish! This is very much a homestyle/comfort dish. The super thick texture of the noodles are amazing and reminds me of something my grandma used to make. 5. Chicken chow mein: really good. The noodles used in this dish is a thicker cut Shanghai type style noodle vs egg noodles, and is prepared mildly saucy vs dry. Cooked simply, and well flavored. This came free as we ordered more than $45 pre-tax food. Would order again even without the offer. 6. Orange beef: large portion, well flavored, but wish they were a little more heavy handed with the sauce. 7. Curry chicken: large portion, heavy on the mixed vegetables (cabbage, broccoli), 2.5/5 spice level. Wish they added potatoes and coconut as I prefer Cantonese style curries. 8. Shrimp foo young: good portion, large shrimp is used, simple eggs and shrimp with some corn sprinkled in. It comes with a sauce that didn't interest me at all. A bit heavy handed on the salt (only ordered this one time), but the flavor is good. 9. Salt pepper prawns: good portion, they use prawns with the shells off and is lightly battered, great flavor, and good amount of heat. I'm not sure what entree comes with the rice, or if a rice comes complimentary after x dollars spent. We usually order 2-3 entrees and a noodle dish, and it comes with a super small container of rice. Definitely order more if you're into rice. I've only ordered from here a few times, and we were happy and satisfied each time. Looking forward to trying more dishes. This is definitely a take out only restaurant. Small mom and pop. The only reason why I am giving them 4 stars is because I wish some of their dishes were a bit saucier.

Happiness on a plate. Our fav Chinese restaurant closed a few years ago and we have desperately been searching for a new place. Tonight we happily found it! Ordered 5 different entrees and I would go back for any one. Very friendly, fast, and ultra tasty. Hand shaven noodles are pure comfort food and a few fun menu items like strawberry crispy beef were delicious to try. I live by the Husky Stadium but will gladly be driving to grub on this goodness.

Their food is just that good and the unpretentious vibe is actually quite comforting and reminds me of my childhood eating in similar stellar family-owned restaurants in LA's Chinatown. I highly recommend their Pan-Fried Rice Roll with XO Sauce, Braised Beef Brisket w/ Vegetable in Stone Pot, Curry Beef Brisket Lo Mein, and their Salted Pork & Chinese Sausage Rice. The restaurant was lively with a moderate noise level. A simple family restaurant that puts out authentic Chinese food. My companions both ordered the Black Mushroom with Chicken Rice in a stone clay pot. Their regular meal at the restaurant. I selected the Braised Beef Brisket with vegetables in a clay pot. The two rice dishes require 20 minutes to prepare hence my Braised brisket arrived first and bubbling hot. The flavors were rich and deeply satisfying. So good that my companions plan to order the Braised brisket next time. The Chicken Stone pot clay rice bowls arrived soon afterward. My friends enjoyed their dishes. Fresh tasting and delicious crispy rice. One ordered a Milk Tea and enjoyed it. Highly recommended for an authentic meal when you are in Seattle's International district!

Service is quick and straightforward. We ordered the pineapple bun with butter, mixed steak plate with black pepper sauce, and spare rib and chinese sausage clay pot. The pineapple bun was large, hot, and crispy with the sugary crust, although I wish the slab of butter was a bit bigger because it gets a little dry after you run out of butter. My boyfriend really enjoyed his mixed steak plate - it came with a pork steak and beef steak, steamed rice, and steamed veggies. The meat was fine but the real winner was the savory sauce! The clay pots take 20-30 minutes to cook which they tell you ahead of time, so be aware my boyfriend was about done with his food when the clay pot came out. This was a delicious classic dish reminiscent of the clay pots back in Hong Kong! I poured in a ton of sauce and it really gets absorbed into the hot rice and meat. The steamed bok choy was a nice refreshing touch. Our favorite bite was the crunchy rice at the bottom of the pot mixed with the delicious sauce. There's so many menu items that caught our eye and we'd love to come back and try it all! Hearty, delicious no-frills meals.

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

I had ordered the regular spice, but for me, I would've chosen the spicer one as I like spice but wanted to be safe. There was lots of really good flavors. The overall space and bathroom was very clean and a great spot for lunch!
