My family orders here about once a month. Wait times are usually a little long but it's well worth it. Always hot and delicious food.

We order from here at least once a week (usually on sports nights). Only a 5-10 minute drive so no reason to Grubhub. Haven't came across something we haven't liked, chicken mei fun, wonton and hot and sour soup, Moo shu anything. I will fight anyone over their dumplings with the best dipping sauce. I've eaten here a bunch of times, for me, it's fast and convenient. It's like every other Chinese take out the difference is the food isn't horrible. I'm not saying it's amazing grace but it's definitely doable. Also, the folks who own it are warm and polite and for me, that goes a long way. I'm from New York where the Chinese food is outstanding, with that being said I've searched far and wide to replicate my experience with Chinese food from NY. New china has ended my search, their food is excellent. The pork fried rice is on point!! My go to dish is the boneless spare ribs, and man this place cooks umm up just the way I like it!! Great little Chinese place. I absolutely love the steamed dumplings. Plus probably the best crab Rangoon in the city. The hot and spicy beef is exactly that! The place is kept immaculately clean. The only reason not to give it a fourth star is they have only one size of fountain drink. Small. And they seem a little pricey. But definitely worth the time to stop in. read more

Very nice lady took my order. I stuck to my go to meal which is Crispy cashew chicken, which was a decent size but super expensive. The cashew chicken was just ok at best. They did not make this as a combo order so I also ordered a side of egg roll. These were horrible. My husband had the pork fried rice which was decent. He also ate their crab Rangoon that was extremely sweet. My husband also got a small order of egg drop soup which was fine. I don't think this is too much food yet it cost $25. Best Chinese in the area. Recently just opened so the kitchen is clean, bright and shiny. Portions are huge. Ingredients are super fresh. Sauces are balanced and flavorful. Prices are ridiculously cheap. I drive by 5 other chinese joints to go here. The menu is as to be expected. Service is quick and friendly. The teenage girl behind the counter has taken my order all of the dozen times I've been there. Vegetables are crisp not soggy, and meat and fish dishes have generous amounts of moist flavorful chicken, beef and seafood. Did I mention cheap? If you're looking for decor, or date-night atmosphere then go to P.F. Changs and pay twice as much for something nowhere near as good. Just as a side note, everything is served in decent quality ( reusable/ recyclable ) plastic tubs with tight fitting lids so it doesn't leak on to the upholstery or in a pool in the bottom of your bag on the way home. We decided to give this place another try, just to see if we had bad luck with that one order, as this place gets such good reviews. But there was only a little improvement. The order was correct. The dumplings, egg rolls, won-tons, and rangoon were all good, but not better then we've tasted elsewhere. The General Tso's chicken was once again a disappointment, not hot/spicy at all. Not bad for cheap/quick Chinese. I was at the office supply store across the lot and got hungry, and it was there. It is actually pretty good, if you like sweeter and crispier crab rangoon (I do). It's not gourmet Chinese but it's quick. I don't know if they deliver or not but it's pretty close to my house anyway so I can just swing by on the way home without too much trouble. Our first time trying on this rainy Sunday! We ordered a whole order of the House Special Fried Rice w/ beef added, A order of chicken wings, a egg roll, & a spring roll! The rice was delish!!!! I hate to give a bad review, because the food is actually pretty good. But we have ordered food 4 times from the delivery service, and we have gotten the wrong thing 3 of the 4. Hey I am a fan of this restaurant. I have come here once or twice a week for more than 2 yrs. So that makes me a regular. I tried something new today.And I tend to love their shrimp dishes. Plump, firm Sweet large shrimp. 5 of them in the lunch Menu Items. I had the Shrimp Szechuan style the veggies;onion broccoli, carrot, bamboo shoot are a bit crisp still.,And the dish was fresh and hot. There was just enough crushed red chili to feel the heat on your tongue.But not to make you run to the soda machine for water. I order their Chow Mei fun.Spicy. All the time(Thin rice noodles with Tumeric, red chili lots of veggies quite often.Sometimes I add shrimp. Sometimes I add house (which is everything) Sometimes I have it with just veggies. Another Shrimp dish I really like is the Shrimp Almond Ding.As far as an Appetizer goes .Chicken on a stick. There are options for those people who are gluten Intolerant like me.You can have the Chef skip the soy sauce in the Shrimp Almond Ding. He will use Chicken broth and garlic. thickened with cornstarch. I can't review the Crab Rangoon or the egg roll. But I I give those to my family and they all love them. .I gave them a extra 1/2 star because this hard working family tries. And it shows in their food. read more

We've been looking around St. Louis for the past 2 months trying to find good Chinese food and we've finally found it. New China offers the standard Chinese fare with reasonable/cheap prices. The restaurant is extremely clean, and the staff were happy to bring us their delicious food. What we had: Sheszchen Shredded Chicken: I always want to like this dish, and this is the first time I've actually enjoyed it. Shrimp Fried Rice: Perfectly fried with all the shrimpy flavor. General Tso's Chicken: One of the best General Tso's I've had. Each bite has a lot of chicken and not a lot of breading. The sauce had some different flavors which made this taste memorable. Crab Rangoon: The most stuffed Crab Rangoon I've had. Tons of cream cheese bursting out of these little puffs. Chicken on a Stick: I was expecting to taste chicken but it was seasoned like a sweet jerky that was very very delicious. I wished I had ordered 2. In all, it's a great place if St. Louis hasn't satisfied your cravings for good, affordable Chinese food. I plan to be a patron of this place for years to come. read more

Very good! I've tried other local places and this place is the best. Food is very good, fresh, and the staff is so nice. Interior is plain but very clean (unlike a local competitor). Love the crab Rangoon!!!!!! Great pork friend rice. In fact, all the dishes I have had there have been fantastic. Only one I did not like was the Wonton soup. China Yu at Mackenzie Point closed down, and I was without an Americanized-Chinese food restaurant. I am super picky about meat and am often disappointed in our St. Louis Chinese/Vietnamese food choices. If you are looking for Chinese takeout, New China does this well. The crab rangoon are slightly sweet with a lighter crispness than many other Chinese places in STL. I ordered Orange Chicken, and you could actually taste the orange. This is not a given, my friend. My daughter got sweet and sour chicken, and the sauce came in a separate container. She enjoyed it, and most importantly, the chicken was white breast meat (I specifically asked for it on the orange chicken), and it was really good. Both dishes were batter-fried chicken, so I wouldn't recommend our picks if you only have a few calories left in your daily limit. I did see healthier options on the menu though. I am definitely going back to New China. I have hit a few duds, since China Yu closed, but New China may indeed be my new pick for the ole standby Chinese takeout. read more
