The reviews below are not accurate. Tailoring is not easy especially jeans. Dry cleaning is never perfect no matter where you go. I work in the customer service and you can't satisfy everyone. But the service is good. I lost 30 lbs and it was either buying a brand new wardrobe of suits for work or have them altered. Susan did an amazing job. Saved a fortune! And if an expert tells you that it is recommended to dry clean rather than launder is not an up sale. If an expert makes a suggestion it is because from their experience and knowledge. I was introduced to New Era by my dad who has been going there for years now. As soon as I got my new job and was required to wear a suit and tie, this location was convenient and close to my house and right near the freeway so an easy pick up before or after work. This place is great, yes, as all the other reviews say, it's pricey but well worth it. Susan, I think she is the owner, is very friendly and is quick to have your clothes ready and always treat your clothes right. I've been going there for about 4 years now, and everything I have sent there has come back looking perfect. If you live in the Glendale area, I highly recommend it. read more

They lost my daughter's first communion white brand new blazer worn once. Who loses a white blazer. Attendant stated they will look for it and call me back but never did. I had to call back to follow up. She just apologized. I paid for it to be cleaned yet i was never paid back for them losing it. Irresponsible! Will never return. read more

This place is a little expensive but all in all O.K. if you ask me. I took a pair of TORN UP jeans there and asked the owner if she could fix them up. There was a hole in the right pocket and the bottom left pant leg was all ripped up, too. The jeans cost me $65. She charged me $20 just to fix them up. Expensive, admittedly. But, so far so good. I've worn them a few times now and washed them and they seem to be holding up. If something changes I'll let you know but lookin' good so far. She was polite, too. I think that counts. read more

My husband seems to think this place is ok but after going 0-2 with this place I've fired them. Their first strike happened after my husband brought home one of my white work blouses with a pink stain on the sleeve that was not there when I dropped it off. I took it back to the shop (still on the hanger in the dry cleaning plastic) and asked the lady to reclean it since the stain was not there when I dropped it off and definitely something that happened on their end. She refused and wanted to charge me to take it out! She said they didn't guarantee their cleaning and I would have to pay again for the cleaning. I was floored! I asked her, "you can't guarantee that you won't stain my clothes when I drop them off?" After the shock wore off I went round in circles with her for about 10 minutes and finally she agreed to take the shirt but wouldn't guarantee anything. When hubby went to pick up the shirt she apologized and the stain was gone but it would take me a year to go back - and they're half a block from my house! So I decide I'm going to give them a second chance and I take in three dresses, two of which are vintage 50s-60s, and one cotton vintage 50s blouse that had a seam that needed restitching and a good wash and press. The 1/2" tear on the seam would cost me $5 to fix so I opted to do it myself. So I get the receipt for pick up and the total is $49.50 for 3 dresses and 1 shirt. WTF!? Are you serious?! I gasp and ask, "is that the total?!" She explains that it's because the dress has beads and rhinestones. Um, yeah, one of the vintage dresses does but not all of them! I told her to give me my clothes back and I'd go somewhere else. I promptly made a beeline to my usual dry cleaner and they charge me $33 for the cleaning including the fix to the seam of my shirt. So overall - totally overpriced, they don't guarantee that they won't stain my clothes, and attitude that borders on disdain for their customers. 100% FIRED! read more

korean-owned and overall friendly... the lady at the front always tries to upsale you on dry cleaning items that do not need dry cleaning, which is SUPER annoying. i did get an extra pair of pants that werent mine..but i think thats standard when getting dry cleaning 3x a week.... makes me worried that some of my overlooked items might be in the possession of someone else, but i think thats just what happens in the dry cleaning world. they did a good job of cleaning a formal dress, that is made entirely of pallettes and had red wine spillage stains..very sensitive... they do a good job on men's ties (even packaging them separately)... always on time....sometimes slow drop-off bc it is packed with business men getting their shirts pressed... they have a water dispenser (which i love bc i am always hung over)... all in all, pretty solid and no major complaints... xo- andrea read more

I've been going to New Era (specifically for Susy) for over 15 years. At first it was just a couple blocks from my apartment. But 7 years ago I moved to Los Angeles and I have still continued to use her services. I see the other reviews talking about cost being expensive and I have found the pricing to be pretty much in line with what is charged at other establishments. However, I go here because of the relationship. Susy is the best, says hello to virtually every customer by name and she's always done great work (never any damage or loss on my orders). I have been going to New Ear Cleaners for 10 years. Susan knows her garments and how they should be cleaned, dry cleaned or regular wash. They are convenient, easy access parking, on street or the parking lot next to the building. My items are always ready the day and time that I asked to pick up. And the garments all ways smell clean. I will never use this dry cleaner again. They over charge for their cleaning. I was charged for beaded dress when there was no beads on it. I was charged for 2 blazers, when it was just a sweater. When I questioned the lady working there, she offered me a $5 discount. When I told her I would never use them again, she tried to tell me should wouldn't give me a discount after all. Yes, they are expensive, but the miracles they pull off are amazing. I brought in a vintage sweater that had suffered a mean food stain (black beans) and a separate Tahari suit that had small coffee stains. I thought they would be goners, but all came out. I have been going to New Era for several months now after moving to the area. At first, because it was conveniently located just a few blocks from where I live. I no longer live quite so close, but I continually return to New Era for all of my alterations. She has thus far properly fitted me for 6 suits making me feel confident when wearing them. I go out of my way to bring my clothes here. Susan is very helpful and also did a good job sewing some jeans of mine. I have my choice of places to go but I drive out this far because its been the most consistently well cleaned compared to any of the others I've tried, literally around the country (as we've moved). THE WORST CLEANERS EVER!!!! Where do I begin...First, when you walk in nobody greets you as if they are happy to see you and appreciative of your business. Very bad customer service skills. Second, I dropped off two pairs of pants on a Wednesday and they said it would be ready Monday. I was going out of town for the 4th of July and asked if I could have them for Friday. The lady told me that she's not sure because everyone wants their stuff and to call on Friday. Ok fine I'll be in limbo. Friday comes and the store hours say they close at 6:30, so I call at 5:30 and ask if my 2 pants are done. The lady could barely speak English and said that yes my 1 pair of pants was done. I asked her what she meant by 1 pair when i brought 2. She said ticket only says 1, but I know I took 2. We went back and forth a bit but I told her to go check the line and make sure it's 2 pairs, she refused and hung up on me. Rude. So I get there at 6:10 and they closed early with no sorry sign or explanation. More rude. Fine, so when I went to pick up the pants she continued to say it's only 1 pair and argued more. Finally I tell her to go get the pair of pants then and sure enough to my instinct there was 2!! She had nerve to blame me and say why didn't i correct her when I took the pants in and get the right ticket. To add injury to insult she still charged me for both pants and 1 pair had new stains. This is by far the worst cleaners I have ever been to and do not recommend anyone from Glendale to go here. read more
