Unfortunately, this place has completely ruined my favorite faux leather jacket. I was told that the "leather" might crack during the whole cleaning process but I wish they wouldn't accept this work at all. Especially knowing that I only needed the fur cleaned, not the outside of the jacket itself. As a result, my jacket had many cracks all over the place and it ended up looking much worse than before the dry cleaning. I came to tailor a suit earlier this year and it was fitted perfectly. Months later I found myself needing to dry clean that same suit for an event. I wasn't sure if my suit was going to be wearable though since it had an immense amount of glitter from another person's outfit that got onto mine. They were able to not only get every single speck of glitter out but also did so in a time frame sooner than expected. On top of that the owner is very friendly. This man was a life saver! I had just picked up a tux to wear to a friend's wedding. I was the best man and of course I spilled my beverage over it the night before. I immediately searched for a cleaners with good reviews that specialized in suits and wedding gowns. My wife had to get her dress altered so when I searched, I came across this business. Even though it was late in the afternoon the day before the wedding, when I called in a panic, the owner told me to come in. I drove from Pasadena to Glendale and man was I glad. He took the suit and dress worked his magic! The next day I went in to pick up my clothes and it was perfect! No signs of the mishap whatsoever. Local, local, local.......being so corporate. I work my tushy off meeting clients, closing deals, interviewing, and just well everything else corporate. In the midst of this corporate bliss, I must wear suits. Not just slacks and the button down blouse, but the whole 2 piece matching suit. Super hot, I know! So where does a gal go to get her pants hemmed and her suits refreshed? I'll tell, ya...Arapgir Dry Cleaners....these folks are awesome!! I wash my clothes at the Laundromat next door and eat my baklava a door down as well. The service is helpful, quick, friendly, and CHEAP! I get my suits dry cleaned for 7 bucks a piece. Yay!!!! With the (temporary) plunging of temps I decided it was time to haul out my sweaters. I took them to Arapgir for a post-storage freshening. The tab came to $38 for 10 items, reasonable in my book. Note that I dropped these off on a Thursday and they weren't supposed to be done until Monday. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't care. I'm not sure how much extra they charge for same day. Everything came back neatly folded and they even used safety pins to attach my skirt to the hanger to avoid a crease. I purchased 3 suits from Georgio Cosani's in Glendale, and was referred by their salesman to come to Arapgir Cleaner's for my tailoring needs. I was leaving town for a funeral the next afternoon, and needed a tailoring miracle. The woman at Arapgir measured me up, and said she'd be able to get them done that day. It was only widening the waist a bit, and the pants were brought up to the appropriate length. She charged me $20 per pair of pants, and I had them only a few hours later. After reading some other reviews, I'm wondering if I was charged more... but the work was done so fast and so well, I think it was well worth the $60. Not to mention, she was very clear that if I didn't like it, they would fix it for free. Go! Get out the door now, and go get your clothes fitted at Arapgir! read more

After the alteration in another place (where it was stained and done absolutely bad) we needed my daughter's prom dress to be cleaned and pressed. they took in late in the evening on Friday and returned to us early on the next morning absolutely clean and perfect. we are going to use this cleaners for our future alterations and cleaners. Is it possible to rate this place zero stars? If so, I would do that in a heartbeat. The man who owns this place obviously does not know the meaning of customer service. Let me elaborate with evidence. I bought a a pair of suit at Giorgio Cosani in Glendale, next to Porto's Bakery. The owner of that place told me to come to Arapgir to get my pants tailored since they have a contract with them; in turn, their customers pay $8 for the tailor, as opposed to $10. The first time I walked in the place, I told the wife I needed my pants to be tailored and that I had bought it at Cosani. Before she did the tailoring, I asked if I would only have to pay $8. She said okay, but not very happily. The husband overheard the conversation and was talking in Armenian along the lines that they should charge me $10 since I wanted same day service. I was infuriated and refused to pay extra since the owner of Cosani had told me to make sure they would only charge $8 even for same day service. Eventually, after going back and forth, they gave it to me at that price. Now, on to the second day. I had bought another suit and wanted to take the pants in for tailoring. There was no one at the place during my visit. So I asked him "Can you tailor this pants for me?" And he responded by telling me "You know it wont be available for you to pick up until tomorrow?" I mentioned to him I want it the same day so I don't have to keep coming back. The first time around, I waited only 10 minutes for the wife to fix my pants. But the husband was persistent that it won't be ready the same day. When I asked him why he couldn't do it at that time he replied "You're not even my customer. You're giving me so much trouble. Can't you see that I'm busy and taking care of other customer's pants?" EXCUSE ME?! You're going to respond and talk down like that? Who do you think you are? I don't think I've ever felt this mistreated by an owner of a business. Short story short, he told me to come back again before closing time at 7 since he saw my frustration. This is by far the WORSE local dry cleaning/tailor business I have been to. I thought I would come here to save money, but I will NEVER come back again. I would pay more money for better treatment. So if you ask me, PLEASE PLEASE save your time and I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere. It would not be a shock if this place goes out of business soon. Two words to the owners: CUSTOMER SERVICE. Google it and find out what it means. read more

This is hands down the most professional, courteous and prompt cleaners I've ever been to! With a wedding on the way and my boyfriend being the procrastinator that he is (am I right, ladies?), we needed to get his suit cleaned up with a 48 hour deadline. After going to at least a dozen other places in the area in a panic (they all said it wouldn't be done until Saturday-too late) we found this gem while grabbing waters from the store next door. Not only was the owner welcoming, he also had my boyfriend go through any last minute alterations he may want and offer suggestions as well. Not only did he guarantee delivery of a clean suit the next day but my boyfriend swears it looks just as good, if not better as the day he first purchased. I came here to clean my business suit, and then elsewhere planned to drop off my dress shoes for repair. Living in Atwater Village, so close to Los Feliz and Silverlake with their sharky prices, I was tempted to spend a whole $5-10 more than what Arapgir was charging me, had I not called ahead to compare prices. Sam has fitted me in a handful of suits and he's got an eye for getting you in a slimmed down suit, so his expertise has always been welcomed and accepted. Just last week, I needed a suit tailored to me 2 days before a wedding, super last minute. Even then, Sam made arrangements and was able to accommodate my last minute needs (sorry Sam! But big THANK YOU for getting it done!) They got my slacks fitted perfectly and my jacket sleeves shortened and made it look like it was a $2,000 suit straight from Beverly Hills. I had an engagement dinner to go to and needed to get a dress dry cleaned. It was a Saturday and most cleaners couldn't do same day service. I called these guys at noon and they said they could have it ready by 3:30-4:00pm. I got a call at 2:30 saying it was ready and they did an amazing job!
