I thought DIY was for me and I tried to install an aftermarket intake, turbo inlet and turbo muffler delete, I got the inlet pipe done but while installing the intake I dropped my socket into the engine, I ended up putting the stock intake back on and calling for backup, NGP was able to fit me and install the intake and turbo muffler delete The R600 requires you to cut a hole to install the sai adapter, I couldn't do that and NGP didn't do it either, they just put a filter on the sai and tied it off but whatever, since I'm closer now being in Manassas I'll probably go here for most of my service needs read more

Having been an Audi driver since 2005, I knew of NGP but always associated them with being more of a performance shop. Luckily I found out they do regular maintenance on vehicles as well. After having my Q5 diagnosed at the Audi dealer I decided not to allow the dealer to do some costly repairs, and instead took the vehicle to NGP. Although I had to wait for them to have an opening for a week or so, the experience was great and saved me roughly 50% of what the dealer wanted for the same work. I'm so glad NGP moved from their old Lorton location to here in Manassas, they are now super convenient and both of our cars come here for service and any installs I can't handle in my garage. Most recently they installed a ABT Height Adjustable Spring kit on my SQ5 and performed a bunch of scheduled service on my wife's Golf R including a DSG transmission and Haldex flush. And, if you decide to wait there for your service they always have something cool parked in the waiting area. They are busy so sometimes you have to wait to get in but it's worth it, just plan head. read more

A friend of mine recommended NGP after I purchased a 1984 Audi. There are not very many places that know their way around such an old car with parts that are no longer available in the United States. Easy to talk to, they explain everything and they are at the top of their profession when it comes to working on Audi's & Volkswagen (amongst other brands like Porsche and Mercedes). I am beyond satisfied with them. Work done: lowered my S8, stage 1 & 2 APR chip and exhaust, racing spark plugs, oil change and a future install air intake system that's delayed due to Covid-19. These guys practice safe social distance (2020 ) and they work on the car as if it were their own. I trust them and I like them and I know you will to. Again, NGP has come through and provided great customer service! They're always very friendly and reassuring of solving my car issues. My key fob was acting up so I was having a hard time starting the car and opening the doors. NGP fit me into their busy schedule and they miraculously fixed my issues. I thought it was going to some major reprogramming of my key fob or something else that would be a hefty cost but it turned out to be simple fix, short wait in the COVID style waiting area (thank you so much for moving your waiting area inside during the cold weather!) and because it was so simple (on their part), they did not charge me to fix the key fob. I have been looking for a place to take my S4 and was really happy to hear that NGP moved from their Lorton location to Manassas. My car needed new brake pads and rotors and NGP was able to replace them for a 1/3 of the cost of the dealer and less than the previous shop I had taken my car to. Brought my car in on 11/14/2019 to get what I thought was a bad wheel bearing replaced (quoted at $460) but was later told that low gear grinding noise was from brake pad clip coming loose and scraping the rotor. NGP replaced a rear tail light bulb that went out (I wasnt aware of) and tightened up the loose brake pad. With an opportunity to take advantage of an unsuspecting customer (which many shops would have jumped on) these guys showed their integrity (still some good in this world). I wasn't excited about NGP back when I had my 2010 VW. That being said it's time for a another review. I gave them another shot on my 2017 VW GTI and have been very happy. I had NGP lower the car, install a rear sway bar, add an APR intake, do a stage 1 tune, and tune my DSG. Since I'm not a mechanic I told Benji what I wanted to achieve and he let me know exactly what I needed install to get there. Everything was explained to me like I had no clue about what anything did, because I only knew general terms, and I appreciated that extra time. Benji took the time to explain why I didn't need to waste money on a front sway bar. I also replaced the the factory pipe from my intake to the engine after I was told the benefit that upgrading it would give me. Everything has been so good the 2nd time around, I have now schedule a stage 2 tune and a downpipe install. read more

They checked out my car and said it was fine and their diagnostic charge was completely reasonable. Got a nail in my new M3 tire which I took to NGP to patch it. When I went to pick up the tire, I believe it was Benji at the checkout window assisting me. Benji said they could not patch the tire from the inside because it was not possible (BS! see pic) due to where the nail had penetrated. He said their technician tried everything (remove tire off wheel, tried to patch), but it was not possible to put a patch inside the tire, so they had to put a plug in it. This was a complete LIE as there are no signs of the tire being removed off the rim or new weights installed. See pic of wheel after repair. THEY ONLY PLUGGED THE TIRE!!! I asked why was I not notified the tire was not patchable before they put a plug in it? Benji said "THEY PLUG TIRES ALL THE TIME". I advised him I did not authorize them to install a plug (see work order) as that is a temporary fix and unsafe. I voiced my safety concerns but Benji said it is safe and they plug tires all the time. I advised him that if anything happens to the tire or my safety because of this plug, it is their liability. After I left, I called couple of tire shops and asked them if they plug tires and both said "NO" it is against company policy to plug a tire because of safety. I asked them if they can patch my tire and both said "NO" because they cannot guarantee a fix after another shop worked on it. I was able to have a local garage repair the tire with a patch. The shop confirmed the tire was never removed off the wheel as claimed by NGP and that they only put a plug in it. The plug was also poorly installed and it would have fallen in if I hit a bump. I have attached pics of the repair that NGP claim was not possible. I am very disappointed with NGP because they have no concern with customers safety. They use methods to repair tires that are considered unsafe by other tire shops. Please be aware that what you are quoted on the phone and what you pay at the window are not the same. They hide costs from you, perform unsafe repairs, and lie about the work they perform. They tried to charge me $51 for a poorly installed PLUG! (Response) Mike - I would have no need to write this review if NGP had communicated to me with honesty and integrity that the tire is not repairable, and it would need to be replaced prior to putting a plug in it. I was not given a choice for a repair and mislead by your staff that plugs are safe. NGP failed to document the issues with the tire in the final invoice which is attached to this review. I am disappointed that your response lacks facts. You have confirmed NGPs incompetence and dishonesty. Yes, I was charged $12.50 but only after I questioned the charge for a plug and the amount was reduced from $51 to $12.50. Unfortunately, I did not have a positive experience with NGP, I hope others fare better. read more

Brought my Audi here for KW coilover installation. Price, very reasonable, much less than what other non german-car specialists quoted for the install. When I went to pick up the car, I saw on the work order, the headlights were adjusted (did not cross my mind to adjust the headlights now that the car is lowered). I've been to both the Aberdeen and Lorton locations. Each time service has been excellent and done in a timely manner. Now that I've smartened up and I'm back in another VW (5th one), I'm pretty sure I'll be getting all my "fun" maintenance service done here. After having to replace my intercooler on my 06 GTi the dealer cleared my software. So I had to truck back to NGP and they re-flashed me at no cost. I think they normally charge $50. Not sure if this is true or not, or if he said it tto make me feel better. Either way I was happy! The Lorton location is a bit tricky to find, but that easily could be due to my bad record with industrial parks, google maps and horrible sense of direction. read more

Both of these are hard to find around here. The location is a little out of the way for me (coming from Fair Lakes, soon to be Leesburg...) but I found out today that it's totally worth the drive to know that your car is in competent hands! Setting up an appointment in advance is simple, you get an email confirmation with that information as well. Pricing is comparable to most other aftermarket shops, and the techs here really know what they're doing. They will give you honest advice and opinions on anything that may be affecting your car and will not try to upsell you on unnecessary work. How do I start? They saved me nearly $2,000 dollars My VW CC had two different problems: 1- trunk and rear lights would not work 2- transmission was acting up When I took my car to VW dealer to fix the 1st problem, they wanted to charge me nearly $900. For something so simple, I could not spend that amount of cash. I went around looking until an old friend of mine recommended me to these guys From the moment I walked in the shop I got a good vibe. It did take them 2 weeks to schedule me in but it was worth it They fixed my electronic problem for $250, explained me exactly what happened and they had the honest gesture to tell me that the problem(transmission) that I had was still covered under my extended 50,000 miles/ 5yrs VW warranty. I had no clue I was still covered after 4 years They could've easily charged me a lot for that but they didn't. Should have had my GTI towed here from the start! If I knew ahead of time it would only have cost $60 more to tow it that extra 40 miles I wouldn't have thought twice. Lesson learned, and thankfully my insurance will cover that second tow. Local dealer, VW in Rockville MD, wanted "at least $1,700 and possibly more" with very crooked explanations and playing games. The guys from NGP came thru once again. Total will be under $1,000. They've installed my APR turbo back exhaust, cross drilled/slotted breaks, k04 turbo upgrade, and stage 3 clutch system in the past. Always on point and always honest. NGP in my experience has been considerably more reliable, knowledgeable, and communicative than any dealership. They gave me all of the info I needed + some for pennies on the dollar.
