This place used to be great but the service is now TERRIBLE and basically non existent. The longtime Chef(super friendly short bald guy with the mustache) left about a year ago and the current guy on the grill don't really engage. The longtime great waitresses like Trish are gone and now there is nothing but people who take your order at the front and there does not seem to be any option to get waited on. Orders take longer than they should and if on the occasion you do get someone to wait on you it will take a long time for you to get your bill back so you can actually leave. The bar was always active but lately it seems you can count on plenty of customers that are loud and sloppy drunk with the workers getting loud right with them which is a shame because at the prices they charge I'm not going to tolerate such a low brow atmosphere. Tonight I hit a new low as I was immediately put on hold and after 5 min I gave up. I tried again and I was on hold for over 11 min before I decided I was not going to wait any longer. I get that they were busy but I heard a lot of bull shitting and laughing in the background and there was definitely enough time to take my order or say something like, "sorry for the delay we will be with you shortly" as they clearly had the time to do either but did neither. I'd normally give this place a 5 star but the last couple times I've have been here was the worst. My pregnant cravings called for this place hoping for a better experience then the last. I'm not sure whoThe new blonde lady is but she is so rude and literally gave us nasty old food. My salad came with tomatoes which i made clear i didn't want, potato skins taste old like they gave us an order someone didn't want a couple hours before. Parking is very limited. We went here for lunch and my girlfriend ordered a ribeye steak sandwich with an 805 and water. I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak with an 805 with water. It came with chips so no fries. The ribeye steak comes with Mayo and lettuce on the side. Flavorful and a little tough but tasty. Waitress never brought us the waters and never came by to check on us and they want tip upfront. The cheesesteak was over cooked with minimal cheese. Mushrooms were over cooked. A bookmarked knocked off! The Giants win! The food was awesome! The place was rockin'! I was in the front of my residence, checking my Yelp bookmarks to see where I can eat and watch the game at the same time. I Yelped, called, and scored! I wish I knew about this place long before..... If there is one thing I love, it's cheesesteaks. Now I must have burned over 1k calories today and since I have not had anything in my tummy, I felt inclined to reward myself; my weight achievement, the 800 calories I burned at the gym in the morning, completing the mud run, and saved hella money by shopping at Grocery Outlet. The meat was flavorful and tender and the roll was soft but held together well w/ all the meat and fixings. I ordered a small order of the half and half (fries and onion rings), and an order of jalapeño poppers. Who did I order for? Just for me, myself, and I. The boy had like 2 fries but the rest was cleaned by yours truly. I did not feel guilty. I burned over 1k calories, for goodness sakes! I earned it. This is a great place to watch the game... The atmosphere really captures the feeling of being in a small family sports pub. Lots of TVs, everyone wants to talk (lots of regulars) and friendly bartenders. It is a self serve place-go to the counter, place your order, when ready-you pick it up. After your done, you bus your table. I actually like this as you are not dependent on a server. I still leave a tip as the staff really is nice, tries hard, and the food is well prepared. The only negative I have is some items need to be repaired/replaced such as restroom tiles and some of the ceiling tiles. Overall, the restaurant and bar is kept very clean. We go every Wednesday for trivia. It's our absolute favorite place to go. There are no restrictions on the amount of people you can have on a team. The more the merrier as they always say. Diane, the owner, is so friendly and the trivia host, Teddy, is so entertaining. The staff is just wonderful too. You get a free appetizer or a pitcher of beer if you win a round and/or you can win the final prize which is a $20 voucher to be used there for food and drinks. The food is great and the prices are very reasonable. You can't beat it really. This is a family style restaurant where they make you feel right at home. I've tried other trivia places but I keep coming back to New Jersey's. Come try it once and I guarantee you will be coming back week after week. This is a sports bar. Couple good sized TVs, the game was on, not too crowded on a Saturday night. My friends will disagree, but I just didn't like their cheese steak. Ended up here by accident. The Hash House had a long line to get in, didn't want to wait, and spotted this place right as we headed down Hamilton. It was around one on Saturday afternoon, and as we entered, were told to pick a table. The three booths along the back wall were taken, so we chose a table with a bench style seat with a view of the big screen TV's. The method of ordering is to go to the counter, pick your drinks and take a menu back to your table. The menu was extensive, including full course dinners. This qualifies it to be rightfully called a family restaurant as well as a sports bar. After making our choices, we head back to the counter, order, pay, and receive a number to place on our table. It takes around twenty minutes to be served. I had the Tri-Tip, Texas style, on a French roll. The beef was tender and juicy, with the tomatoes and lettuce tasting so fresh they could of been seemingly picked that day. The fries were tasty, but too salty. My guest had the Rib Eye Steak Sandwich with grilled onions and onion rings. Unfortunately, this piece of beef was practically raw. It would of been sent back, but after getting full with loading up on onion rings, a better plan would be to take it home, and cook it for dinner that night. There's a reason for everything. This bar has been open for dine in since the beginning of the pandemic with no concern for public health or safety mainly serving men over the age of 50 in the extremely vulnerable percentage of the population. The owner has little to no cleaning procedures in place & is calling her regulars under the table to report contact tracing while leaving her business open. She also regularly serves customers well beyond their limit and then lets them drive home from her establishment. We've unfortunately lost a lot of quality restaurants and businesses in this pandemic but losing this one would not be a loss.
