This was one of the worst crispy noodle dishes I've had. It looked like they simply opened a bag of dry crunchy noodles, microwaved the toppings, and dumped them on top. Some of the shrimp and pork were still cold when it arrived, which is completely unacceptable. It felt rushed, poorly prepared, and not worth the price. I won't be coming back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Yes, their decor consists of boxes of supplies in front. Yes, their decor needs and uplift.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But man can they make bomb Won Ton Soups, egg rolls and chow fun. The best egg rolls around. Thin layers, juicy filling, perfectly crispy . They'll be so good you'll have to take some extra home. Their boba drinks popular too. The boba is sometimes a little too chewy for me but the milk tea is what makes it amazing. I always get Honeydew tea. I come here when I'm in need of a chow fun fix . The service is spot on; you're always seated within a minute. The soups come out almost instantly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not cute restaurant but it does the job.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You leave full and happy with a to-go leftover box in hand.

Always a blast here! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cheap food good vibes everything is pretty nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Number 6 or 1 is my go to.

Quick service. You're in and out as quick as can be. Upon being seated, they take your order and then your food comes out within minutes. Prices are affordable and there's a lot of variety of noodle soup dishes to choose from. The broth is a simple, lightweight broth and the noodles are perfectly cooked. I get both the rice noodles and egg noodles to get the best of both worlds!

We decided to come here for a quick bite as it was close by to the hotel we just checked out and my daughter wanted some comfort food. We ordered the won ton noodle soup, combo ho fun, combination chow fun, combo won ton noodle soup. I also ordered the sour sop drink but it wasn't what I expected it to taste like like another place I order it from. Parking wasn't easy on a Sunday but luckily hubby waited for a spot to open up as next door is a Mexican restaurant that has Sunday brunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was inviting and air conditioned and I didn't have to wait to get a table for four.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My combo chow fun was tasty with lots of veggies. All and all a good experience for comfort food.

To start, food is about 3 stars. This review is based on the service and how that alone can ruin a dining experience. This place used to be run like a well oiled machine. The service was nothing special, but effective. Today's experience was nothing like before. First, the man taking our order kept trying to speak to us in Spanish, even though we were speaking English to him. This made the whole experience confusing - not because we don't speak Spanish, but because he made no sense. This lead to our order being wrong and us missing items. We tried and failed to get 2 people's attention (including the man who took our order) and finally we got one person to stop only for him to wave his hands and say "not me, ask him" while he pointed to the person who took our order. He finally came over and so we asked him about our missing eggrolls, and again he started saying "oh taquitos, taquitos! cuantos?" I asked if he had placed the order already and since he said no, we told him never mind and went without them. In the past they had several people taking orders and today it looked like just 2 guys and the whole place was a zoo. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was as usual. Not much of an ambiance, it's basically a mall food court vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You order at the table, then walk up to the register to pay by giving them your table number.

Truly miss them having a location in Mountain View. The food is just as amazing as I remember. The portions are amazing for the price. Affordable and comforting food. The staff were super attentive and friendly. I can't wait to visit again.

This is how I like my 17!

I have been dining at New Tung Kee for over 25 years. Some of my friends and family love it and some don't. There is a procedure for seasoning the soup....which not everyone gets. The broth needs to be seasoned to taste. First thing, taste the broth! Add a little hoisin sauce and stir it in. Next, add some spice. (I like the sliced jalapeños ). If it is too sweet from the Hosin. Add some acidity, whether the vinegar soaked peppers or the straight up bottle of vinegar. Season the broth the way you like it. Then proceed to consume. I like the 17 with both vermicelli and rice noodles, combo. I like a bite of jalapeño pepper with each bite, I enjoy the fresh crunch and flavor of the peppers. I enjoy this food. It isn't quite Chinese or Vietnamese. It is somewhere in between. Reasonably priced, filling and hits the spot.

    - Cooking is consistent. Have been coming here for over 20 years! - Fast and efficient system. You don't need to wait long for food. - Parking is in a big retail lot. - Addicted to their salted plum soda. - Regular food items are beef stew and combination won ton, which only come in one size now. - Fried daikon is the best & the portion size is also good Great local spot in the south bay!

I have been a customer at this location many many years now. This location will always be my go to TK choice. Support your local business!

I had the combination chow fun, it was good, filled me up because I was starving and hadn't eaten all day. The sauce on the noodles was good, meat was yummy, but they only put four shrimp in there! For 13 bucks, at least give me four more crustaceans, so I have at least 8 total. Besides that the service was your typical grab and go Asian spot, quick and friendly service, with decent food. My wife had the combination chow mein and wasn't impressed with the noodles, they weren't seasoned or sauced, just thrown into the container with the meat and vegetables. Food 6/10 Service 8/10 Prices 5/10

My favorite childhood spot. Food is always consistently good for the past couple of decades. Fast service, hot food, never disappoints. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love that the ambiance has been consistent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I hope this place is still open for many more years!

It's been a while since I've been to any kind of Tung Kee Noodle. I've been curious to see how this Luu New TK Noodle would be and considering I was wanting some soup and there wasn't anything else we wanted to try so we landed here. In short, edible, passable, but certain parts of the dish just fell short. L O C A T I O N Luu New Tung Kee Noodle is on the left most side of the plaza with Safeway on Calaveras Blvd. It's close by to Feng Cha. There's shared parking with all the other shops here. I easily found a spot in the front of the restaurant. S E R V I C E We called in our order. Easily done and paid by credit card when we got to the place. The place inside looked like it was busy. It was very active. lots of people coming in and out. F O O D We got both the Combination wonton noodle soup and wonton soup. The wontons had this weird texture to it. A bit hard, not flavorful at all. But it was filling for sure. The soup was basically the same for everything. It was fine. The noodle was standard egg noodle which had a bounce. Not bad. O V E R A L L No nonsense, no frills place. If you want plenty of food that's filling then this is your place. Not sure if they have other items that are better, but definitely not getting the wontons again. Perhaps we might be back to try other items. See what you think!

The Chinese sausage pieces sprinkled throughout added extra flavor too. The bowl is deep so there seemed to be roughly 5 cups of rice. Unfortunately the laksa shrimp fried rice was disappointing in comparison. It didn't have much flavor overall - better than plain rice but definitely needed more seasoning. The menu lists homemade laksa sauce as an ingredient but we didn't taste that, and the dish wasn't spicy at all either despite the 1 chili pepper rating. But it looked just like the menu picture so maybe the description is wrong. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce came with 6 pieces. Very juicy. We also enjoyed the herbal roasted prime steak with sausage rice. The delicious rice had the taste of fish sauce. Most of the short rib slices were soft and a few were slightly chewy but overall decent quality. Some of the fattier pieces of meat were still attached to the bone.

The one without ice still came cold and was about $2.50 more in price. Both tasted similar and the one with ice wasn't diluted at all. Both were refreshing and we loved the flavor. It was very authentic and refreshing. Chicken noodle soup was amazing! I don't know about the 8 hour boiled chicken since it tasted like chicken breast broth and not bone broth but it was super delicious. The noodles were slimy and it was very comforting. No chili oil was provided on the table. The server spilled some broth on our table while carrying a hot bowl of soup. I recommend asking the servers to use a serving plate to bring over food to the customer's table. Spicy chicken with honey and potatoes- We've tried this dish at many different restaurants, mostly without potato chips and we didn't like it here. Some pieces of chicken were bland and others absorbed most flavors. The honey did not help the dish at all. There was no balance of flavors. I did not like the addition of packaged wavy potato chips into the dish. Dai style seafood- This dish was very disappointing. It was served cold which was the highlight of the dish but nothing tasted fresh. This dish took the most time to come out. The dressing tasted well made, it was sweet and savory but the seafood hadn't absorbed the dressing. There were mussels, clams, squid and calamari in it and the balance of flavors was out of proportion. Laksa shrimp fried rice- Good wok hey, chewy mushroom bits and little pineapple bits but shrimp was very hard to find. The addition of egg was nice. Fried chicken with tom yum sauce- Nicely fried very tiny pieces of chicken with 1 tsp of tangy sauce. Good dish. Nothing extraordinary. I would come back for the chicken noodle soup on a cold night!

It's a good thing we did because the restaurant filled up completely 5 minutes after ordering. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern, they have some art up on the wall that was cool to look at. The food was definitely the star though. We tried the BBQ pork and shrimp noodle rolls. Both were really good but my favorite was still the shrimp. I loved the veggies in the roll too. They can be a bit hard to pick up and eat because they're massive and cut into thirds. Other than that, the rice noodles are thin and silky and hold the sauce nicely. The sauce is also delicious. We also ordered the fish congee which was simple but comforting. It comes out PIPING hot so don't burn your tongue. Fish was tender and flavorful. Overall no complaints and the service was quick. Highly recommend!

A waiter told me they don't take credit cards when I was trying to pay. I was like, okay, maybe I should have done more research before I went there. So I tried to talk to him to see if there's any other options, like Zelle or Venmo, or maybe I can go to a nearby ATM and get some cash. He ignored me and did not respond, and left. I walked around, was finally able to get a waitress who was willing to talk to me. I explained that I didn't know they only took cash and I wonder if I can pay through other ways. She pointed at the wall and told me "it says on the wall", sounding like blaming me for not getting cash ready. Yes, maybe I should have read all the signs on the wall, but I really don't enjoy being blamed when I did nothing wrong. Assuming credit cards as one of the payment methods is not my fault, just how the society works. Anyway, I was able to pay them via Venmo, but I did not enjoy the experience at all.
