Been here a number of times in the past 2yrs for the lunch buffet. The last two times the place has really gone downhill in quality. Selection of proteins has gone down, food is bland, naan breads were stale even straight out of the oven. Even the classic Indian desserts are now gone. I feel obliged to review this restaurant based on how frequently I visit. Let me preface this by saying that this is THE best Indian restaurant in the Cincinnati area. The quality is consistent and the food is fresh and flavorful. I especially love the naan, chicken tikka, and goat curry. The waitstaff is very kind and the décor is welcoming and relaxing. This is a favorite spot for me to enjoy delicious, fresh, well-made food. I found this place about 3 years ago and have been coming back ever since. The buffet is what o usually go for, because I like the selection and can have a little bit of everything. The saag paneer is always my favorite. The staff are friendly and quick. Also, I don't like spice/heat in my food, I really don't even eat pepper, this place had a tiny amount of spice in the buffet selections, but not too much. In town for a 2 week training. As a foodie, I felt it my duty to venture out of the bland hotel lobby restaurant and find out what Sharonville has to offer. Well- surprise, surprise! With my Yelp search, I came up with a few options, but New Krishna caught my eye. Located in a strip mall off of- 42 or 41 (the Miami girl is still finding her bearings), and I'd have to say a bit sketch of a location. HOWEVER- what a warm welcome and directed right to a nice, comfy large booth. Ordered the Tandoori chicken and asked for a lamb mix with rice (of course) and garlic nan. Sweet Jesus- hands down, the best Indian food I've had. And let's just say sister girl has been around! Service was a bit off, but it's Sunday eve and I'm sure would be better during the week. All in all- a great find and will be back during my 2 week stay! read more

Leave it to my Indian aunts to choose a delicious Indian buffet. This one was enormous. So big I didn't try everything, in fact. That's very unlike me. We have a winner after trying lamb rogan josh, pakora, salad, chicken makhani (the gravy was watery vs. creamy), vegetable biryani, naan, samosa chaat (they have a chaat buffet on weekends) and plenty of other things I can't remember now. The winner of the buffet was the saag paneer, no doubt. If you are not there during the buffet, you must order it. I was crazy about that creamy spinach. The atmosphere is exactly what one might expect at a strip mall Indian restaurant, and it was hopping on a Sunday afternoon. They might want to open a bit earlier considering there were a few groups of hungry people waiting outside that all seemed to think it was open at 11 or 11:30, but right now they don't open until noon. read more

As far as Indian Buffet's go, it is ok. Nothing spectacular and not terrible either. I would likely give a better review if they offered meat dishes that were not only over cooked white meat chicken. Give us some goat or beef. The vegetarian side wins in this place. the bread is generally overcooked and then chewy. the pakora is generally on the steam table too long to enjoy. read more

I'm not in the Sharonville area often, but I think I will be coming here a lot more frequently. On a whim we decided to try New Krishna's take out for dinner - it's located in a dated strip mall right by the i275/42 off ramp (north side.) WOW was it packed! We almost decided to stay it smelled so fantastic inside, but we had ordered over the phone so we were stuck with our decision. They had incense burning too, which weirdly complimented the smell of the food from the buffet. We ordered the mixed platter appetizer, chicken tikka masala, saag paneer and ras malai. The mixed platter could have been a meal by itself - we got way more than we expected and it was all delicious. The masala and paneer were standard portions and also very, very tasty. They combined both orders of ras malai into one which was a bit annoying but the cheese in pistachio cream was so good we just dealt with it. We will definitely come back - the buffet looked great and was huge! read more

When there is a crowd up front waiting for the doors open, you know the food is going to be delicious!!! You must do the buffet, it's such a large selection of food. Now I can't list what I like to pile on my plate, but it doesn't really matter, it's all great. Everything is made super flavorful and fresh. Great place to go if you're new or introducing someone to Indian food, it's a great selection of classic food. They have a large dinning area so there is plenty of seating, but go early if you want to beat the crowd on weekdays for lunch. Servers are always refilling water promptly. I've never ran out of water dinning here, not sure why I'm pointing that out, but it's appreciated when I don't need to look around for a server for more water, I guess it's the little things in life! read more

BEST INDIAN FOOD I'VE EVER HAD! Wow... I enjoy trying a varieties of appetizers eating tapas style at new restaurants so that I can really get a feel for the type of food being served as well as the quality and uh.. they really hit the nail on the head. I would have loved to try more than we did, however the portions were monumental in size for just two people. I'm not complaining at all, I left full and satisfied, and what we had was wonderful. We tried the Mixed Combo along with the Special Combo and got a parade of food. One was a cal-zone like pastry stuffed with chicken, onions, cheese, and spices. Another was lot of different deep fried Indian food, and again, it was great! We also enjoyed the Kheer (Ki'EEr) a rice pudding like dessert to finish us off. Next time I crave Indian food I won't hesitate to drive from Cincinnati to Sharonville to get excellent service and food. read more

Buffet was very very good. At first, I made a mistake and went for the veggie items, and was not thrilled. Second go around I found the items with meat, and I was very happy. I would suggest highlighting/marking the veggie/non veggie areas better, but other than that, my trip was very enjoyable. I will definitely go back! read more

The smell of the incense as we came in was a bit overwhelming , we chose to go buffet, the restaurant was nice and cozy very authentic , all the staff are true INDIA originated, the music in the back group was a real Indian music .... now the food... Every single dish we tried was delicious , I know in India the food is a little more intense more spicy and concentrated but here the food was a little americanaized, I must say it was very authentic and very tasty.... we will come back here again for sure! read more

It was after 9 and I had a craving for Indian. Late night buffets are probably not the best idea, but sometimes ya gotta throw caution to the wind and slam some food. New Krishna (where was the OLD one? anyone...) hit the spot and after three or four plates I was as stuffed as humanly possible. The selection was pretty much standard for Indian restaurants with no surprises except for some of the better desserts like Gulab Jamun and Jalebi. I was intrigued by some of the dragon shaped bottles of whiskey the decorated the front register area. My husband and I were visiting the area and thought we would try a different Indian restaurant this trip. While we did not have an overall negative experience, I have a difficult time giving New Krishna higher than three stars. The positives - desserts: we tried every dessert they had and all were delicious. - service was prompt and glasses were always full. The negatives - main courses: what they had listed as biryani was definitely not biryani -- it was mixed rice! The other main dishes weren't that great either. My husband is vegetarian and he wasn't happy with the veg selections and commented that the muttar paneer did not taste as muttar paneer should. - overall buffet organization: at times there would be a line blocking the door. Some of the causes were the location of the buffet near the front entrance and check out counter as well as the configuration. Verdict: We will not be returning next time we are in town. read more

New Krishna is a great Indian/desi restaurant. Their buffet food is always good, fresh and has a good variety to it. Personally, I really enjoy their kheer, gulab jaman and jaleebis. My family from Pakistan was very impressed with not just the food, but also the quality of customer service. Hands down, the best Indian food in the area. We had been a few times before when they served the buffet, but this time we ordered the Saag Paneer and Tandoori Fish.... We were craving Indian for dinner and had a coupon so we figured we'd give them a try. I'm extremely glad we did. We called in our order to go, which was good because it was pretty busy in there even for a Saturday night dinner. We had an appetizer, two dishes that we split and two orders of dessert and everything was fantastic. The masala and saag both were flavorful without having that annoying excessive sweetness you get with some places. They included lots of chicken in the masala and lots of paneer in the saag too. While we were there picking up our food the buffet smelled wonderful, so I'm really looking forward to going back and giving it a try. read more

Great place - we annoyed the variety and freshness of everything on the buffet. I'm a medium hot type of person (think "hot" sauce packets at Taco Bell for a reference) and the buffet food was the perfect level of heat for my tastes. WOW, what an enormous lunch buffet! Weekends and dinner buffets are even bigger! They run out of room and start putting food on additional tables. It's crazy! The food is delicious and I wash it all down with a mango lasse! One of the things I consistently do not like about Indian restaurants/businesses are unfriendly workers/owners or at least it comes across that way. I am sure it's a cultural thing that I just don't understand, but it's deinitely a noticeable trend. With that being said, I am EXTREMELY happy with the people at New Krishna!! They are just down right friendly and happy people; talking and smiling and I even catch them slightly boogying to the music every now and then. I LOVE IT! Lunch buffet Monday through Thursday is $6.99 and $8.99 IMF Friday and weekends. The service here is excellent, and there is a tip jar at the front for the servers. The food is excellent and fresh. Some really cool artwork on the walls as well. Dinner buffet was pretty large, with most of the usual suspects. The tandoori chicken was *excellent* - some of the best I've had. Tender and very well spiced. As mentioned by another reviewer, the meat dishes were almost all chicken - one lamb dish was there. The best variety, quality and value when it comes to Indian cuisine in Cincinnati. I've tried many of the offerings in the area (including the numerous, fabled Clifton places) and New Krishna is still my favorite. Their buffet price has increased in recent years but is no worse than anywhere else and their food is acceptably spicy even on the buffet. Menu items are frequently shuffled to the buffet for a greater choice but everything there is delicious including the Kheer rice pudding which is also the best I've ever had. The menu food is exceptional as well and can be spiced up to your liking. Portion size has shrunk some recently but the prices have at least not gone up. read more

I called in an order and once I came realized I left my wallet at home and only had $20 which made me short several dollars. The owner allowed me to just pay the $20. Very affordable buffet ($7.99 lunch, $10.99 dinner). Great selection, and the food was hot and fresh. Many curries and other entrees to choose from. As others have mentioned, New Krishna has excellent Indian food. I've only ever had the buffet, but I've always left full and happy. The buffet is a great way to try many different options of Indian food, including meat and vegetarian options- I love being able to get both channa masala and curry chicken on the same plate! The buffet even includes naan, batura, desserts, and scoop your own ice cream. I will admit that it's a little pricy for a standard lunch run, but it's definitely worth the price. I have never tried their menu items, since we always come for lunch, so that's another review for another time. Bottom line: Great flavors, good selection, and darn good Indian food. Decided to try this the other night for dinner and I was very pleased with all the different options available on their buffet. I love Indian cuisine but am still a newbie when it comes to trying all the different styles of dishes. Their version of Chili Chicken was my absolute fav, with a nice spicy kick! I am a lover of Indian food, and when it comes to my taste in Indian food, I tend to be rather particular. I've been to New Krishna several times and I have been happy each time. Their buffet is well stocked and has good variety, including quite a few interesting sides and condiments. The staff is attentive. It may not be my favorite Indian restaurant ever, but in Cincinnati, it's currently one of my top picks. I usually judge based on raita, naan, keer, and masala chai. My sister and I tried New Krishna when she was in town because we were tired of driving all the way down to Clifton for some good Indian. New Krishna is located in front of a strip mall. I have had two experiences here, one for takeout and once for eat in buffet. With the takeout service the food was quoted a time and when I arrived the manager was just bringing from the kitchen. The portions for the food to go were very generous. My chicken dish was in a 16oz deli container and full to the brim and also had a nice size portion of rice. The food was very hot and enjoyable. For our time eating in, my sister, dad, brother and I decided to eat in and get the buffet and it was very good. Everything was fresh and the service was good. On the buffet they had lamb curry and a few chicken dishes along with saag paneer and traditional Indian food. This will be my go to place for Indian by my house.. read more
