##3 Two Cheese Enchiladas Combination Platter
    Brian P.

Nondescript hole in the wall hidden away in a strip mall. No frills. Complimentary chips and interesting salsa. Little watery. I love hatch chilis and ordered the enchiladas with green hatch chili sauce. The sauce was very flavorful & earthy w just a hint of spice. Def recommend. Reasonably priced, fast service. It's always nice to have New Mexican cuisine.

First off, how do I not know about this place?? Really great New Mexico style cuisine. I appreciate the smoked hatch chiles. I got their green chile pork burrito smothered in green sauce and it was perfect. Not too hot with a lot of flavor. The place is a little small and no sign on the building but those are the best places. Will definitely be back and service was awesome!

Fry bread with pork... maybe it was beef. It was the wife's. She said it was very good and plenty to fill up anyone.

Dropped by just before closing, but the meal was great and they didn't try to rush us out. We saw on TikTok a clip of this place and had to give it a try. Lots of New Mexico flavors and so much to try. We tried the fry bread , one Carne Asada and another was a green chili pork... but think. Very tasty. Cute little shop with super service . Everyone was super friendly. Certainly with the trip. This fry bread is not like the Navajo Fry bread, it's a little denser but still tasty.

Place is ok. Service is great, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Was told by a neighbor that this is a great place to come try. I asked the server what is their top menu item and she said the Chili Pork Burrito. So I ordered it and it came out with sauce on top, like an enchilada. Meat was dry too. I hope other items on the menu is better but this as overall disappointing.

This place rocks! The food was awesome, the service was great, and the pricing is perfect. I went there with the intention of getting a green chile plate. I'm glad I asked how hot it was, and they answered honestly and said pretty hot. I tried some from my brother-in-laws plate and boy was it hot! Very tasty though. I ended up with the red chile plate and a beef taco which were both perfect. I'll definitely be back. Thanks guys!

This is a small diner-type restaurant. Step right up to the counter and place your order after perusing the extra-large menu. I love the Fry Bread (topped with ground beef, I get it with a side of red sauce) and my husband loves the Huevos Rancheros (with Christmas sauce). Both are delicious and served up hot. We have only come here for breakfast, I imagine the lunch options are just as tasty.

This is not fry bread I ended up scraping the toppings off and threw it away.

New Mexican Grill has always been our go to place for fry bread.. we are so beyond disappointed it tasted doughy (uncooked), thick as a pizza had no flavor! Has something changed New Mexican Grill?

Whoa, so we came here for Date Night, normally we have it on Sunday but this location is closed on Sunday's. Worth the wait. Janna ordered the Bean and Cheese Fry Bread and I ordered the Machaca Fry Bread! It was so good, we had so much food, we brought half of it home. The staff here is great, it's a sit down restaurant kinda but not really but they make you feel super welcome and come and check on you from time to time. I asked for Hot Sauce and he brought me a bottle of it, it was super spicy but the good spicy where it had heat but still an excellent flavor. My meal was good before but this added like a +3! I'll 100% ask for it the next time we come back. Janna liked it as well, so we ordered a quart to go! So worth it. This place rocks, we will definitely be back. Janna and I have a friendly competition to see who can have a better date night, this was a no brained Janna wins!

    Carne Asada Fries

My husband has tried this place but the family had not, so for his birthday we ordered for pick up last night. There were six of us and we got the carne asada fries, some variations of fry bread, chicken taquitos, sopaipillas, a carne asada burrito, and chicken tacos. All of it was fresh and excellent. We have a couple of refried bean connoisseurs in the group and they raved about them. Same for the carne asada fries - not something I ever order but the two people who got them said they were the best they've had. We usually get Someburro's for fast casual Mexican, but I think this place will be our go to now. Someburro's is still solid but this food felt more flavorful and fresh.

They were fluffy, smokin' hot, and beautifully plated. These pancakes are huge too. The plate of pancakes come as a stack of 3. When I got there and ordered, I told the waitress about my intolerance and ordered a salad with chicken. When my food came out, I was told my salad didn't have chicken because I couldn't eat the chicken, or any other meat in the restaurant, because they coat it in Pam spray (soybean oil). For a place that prides itself on making their own dressings, etc., you'd think they could've figured out how to cook chicken in an oil that they use for everything else. Perhaps if they'd communicated better about my intolerance instead of not thinking about it until immediately when my food was ready (which was quite a while after we ordered), they could've found someone in the restaurant who was capable of making non-vegetarian food with something other than soy spray, but I may be giving them too much credit. They also didn't offer us a high chair for our toddler, which was strange. He wound up doing fine in the booth, which was for the best because a high chair probably wouldn't have fit well where we were sitting anyway. The waitress was apologetic and nice about my food screw up and offered to make me something else, but there wasn't much that could be done given that apparently no one in the restaurant knows how to cook meat without soy spray, plus we'd already waited quite a while for our food. The beet salad was tasty, as was the bread with honey butter and the Chai latte, but I would've left feeling more full if I could've added meat to my salad.

Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. My only real criticism is that the menu felt a bit limited, especially for vegetarians. There weren't many vegetarian options available, which could make it difficult for some people to find something that appeals to them. My son had ordered food from here as takeout last year. The food taste was interesting, though, I really like the cheese dip for the pretzel bites. The bites were pretty big. Lots of tables at this location, a bit warm. But our party of 14 was easily accommodated. Our daughter chose this place and it was quite loud. My husband and I are quiet people, so if we were to choose again, probably not here because of the loudness and all the TVs all over the place. But for those who like it loud, TVs and do not mind the prices on the menu, have at it. I don't remember our server's name. If she told us, I couldn't hear what she said. She was alright. Honestly, I had a hard time hearing even my son who sat next to me, and hearing my sister who sat one seat over in front of me, I couldn't hear what she was saying. Loudness is an issue for me and I do not have hearing issues. Our bill with tip came to over $700+. That was the most expensive lunch we've ever spent for our party of 14. Typically we're in the $400-500 range. But it was a special occasion. My husband and son got the 36 hr ribs. My husband really loved them. My son said it was okay. I didn't ask my brother and BIL who also got the same dish. I know my BIL was unhappy that he didn't get the side he requested and when they gave it to him (asparagus, I think), it was cold and he wasn't pleased about this. I got the hub burger and it was okay. There was a lot on the burger, but the patty itself, didn't have that much flavor. Some of the "Starters" or appetizers things were salted too much, but the burger did not taste like it had any salt. I had eaten too many starters so when my food came, I wasn't very hungry and took most of it home and ate for dinner another night. My husband and son do not like coleslaw and I ate theirs. THIS I really liked and tasted much better than KFC. I loved the sweetness and that the cabbage was shredded bigger than KFC. The pretzel bites were good. We got wings, and they were so-so. The roasted brussel sprouts were too salty. The deviled eggs were okay, but pricey for 2.5 eggs, which I do pay at Trader Joe's for organic free range pasturized eggs I could've gotten over 2 dozens. But, yes, I pay for the service and ambiance. I really thought there would be more than 5 halves for the deviled eggs. We got the nachos and they were okay. The melted cheese sauce was the best part. My mom got the fish and chips and she seemed to pick at it. She didn't want to take home, so it must not have been that good because she almost always takes a doggy bag home. My sister had the salmon and it was in a huge bowl and didn't look to be that much food. It was pricey. One of my SILs got something I didn't recognize and she said it was okay. No one I could tell was over the moon with the taste of the food and I heard the word "interesting" quite a bit. It's not that it tasted bad, but it didn't really taste good good. You know what I mean? I did bring a special order cake I got at Nothing Bundt Cakes in Gilbert. I asked Culinary Dropout if we could borrow a cake cutter. They didn't have one. Weird. This was a Red Velvet cake and this was absolutely divine. It was moist. The frosting was some sort of yummy cream cheese frosting. The cake was perfectly sized for our party of 14. The cake was the best part of our meal and it didn't come from Culinary Dropout. I would pay this much for a meal at Roy's for lunch for this sized party, but alas, all the Roy's in the valley are closed down. So sad. I'm not saying this place is bad or the food tastes bad. It's okay and pricey. If the food was great or amazing, we don't mind pricey. We have paid over $1K for meals for our big party, and happily do so when the food is equivalent to the price.

My only critique is the layout of the front room. There always seems to be a line, but there's not really a good place for it to go besides in front of the entrance and the water station. It turns into a lot of "excuse me" and people weaving around each other. It's definitely a good problem to have because they're clearly popular, but I hope as they continue to flourish, they're able to expand into a larger space or rethink the flow a bit. Either way, I'll absolutely be back. Just save me another coconut brown sugar latte.
