Blah. Never good when a breakfast place serves microwave "scrambled" eggs - dry and spongy and just not good. Their black board has great sounding specials like huevos rancheros, but those eggs and a few dry black beans and corn tortillas are a poor excuse for huevos rancheros. And mind you, nothing against a place that asks you to bus your own tables (in fact my favorite restaurant in the world does the same), but at least wipe down the tables every now and then. To end on a positive, the counter service was friendly and they had a nice selection of can and bottle beer, but this place closes at 3pm so it's not even open after the lifts close. read more

New Moon is awesome! Super close to the base of the mountain which makes it a perfect place to grab a mid-day bite. They have a build your own bloody mary bar, very tasty! And definitely cheaper than a lot of the places up on the mountain. Chill vibes as well. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Eclectic and soulful, New Moon is the perfect place to grab a sandwich with namesakes like the Janis Joplin or Johnny Cash. They have a great selection of bottled beer which is priced just right- even if you miss happy hour. You can feel the rock even before you walk in! read more

Terrible service. We usually go to Spoon but decided to try here because they opened at 8 and spoon didn't open until 8:30. I wish we would've gone to Spoon! I asked if they had whole eggs and the cashier told me yes so I asked if I could have just egg whites and he replied that he didn't think so but he'd ask the owner (I think her name is Barb) and as soon as he asks she starts yelling "No! No! No! We are not doing that" as if asking for egg whites was insulting her business. Then when we got our food it was terrible, the toast tasted like cardboard. The owner and chefs were very unprofessional and unwelcoming to customers (don't you think they'd want the business?). This was our first and last time ever coming here. I would not waste your time or money here, Spoon or Inxpot are way better options! read more

Being that this place is located in the middle of Keystone Village you would expect the rent for those places to be extremely high which makes most restaurants overpriced and since they have a new tourist coming in every day service normally suffers. I say all that to convey how impressed I was with New Moon Cafe. Mix a chill vibe, outdoor patio equipped with chill reggae music and affordable healthy food options. You order at the counter and if the weather is good jump outside and enjoy the patio. Everyone is friendly and sending out good vibes. Great spot. read more

This is the best place for a post ski/snowboard day. Great happy hour and great company. The staff here was soo friendly and the drink selection is the best. My family and I had a different experience than some other reviewers. I walk up to the counter, order a breakfast (as it turned out not a hearty one) for $7.75 + a bottle of juice from the cooler, and then have more than twelve bucks lifted from my wallet! Huh? How did that happen? Overpriced resort dummy tax? Dissappointed. Breakfast tasted like you might expect from seasonal ski resort workers. The eggs weren't real. The price was too high although comparable for the high priced resort restaurants. The quality and presentation of the food were simple and average and the quantity of food for the money left even more of a ripped off feeling. I would not return to this cafe. Nice location in Keystone to grab a quick bite or enjoy a drink for aprés ski. Hands down the best prices on beer in River Run Village and you can't beat their $3 happy hour beers, and on all microbrews for that matter as well! The panini's are fantastic and my go to for lunches. Highly recommend! read more

My only complaint was that we did not go here until our last day. Very friendly service with a laid back rock and roll vibe. The food was very good. The kids had waffles which were superb. The heuvos rancheros had maybe the best green chile sauce ever. Wish we would have come here for apre ski, with a good beer selection and comfy couches to sit in. read more

Very strange setup. Cafeteria style ordering but then takes about 20 minutes to get your food. Different style for sure but it's a ski town.

Usually stop in before hitting the slopes - beer, Irish coffee, breakfast food, cookie... You name it. The earlier you come the less busy though. The Irish coffee is strong. The chorizo burrito is filled with flavorful and grilled for a nice tortilla crisp on the outside. Keeps you full of energy for a day of skiing! My friends have gotten the spinach bowl and huevos rancheros and have been pleased... Just know that the huevos are spicy! read more

It's time for an update/renovation. Over the years we have eaten here during our annual ski trip to Keystone and this year I feel the food was missing love and creativity. Between the "tired" look for the place and the lack of care and flavor in the food I don't think I will return. My BLT was slapped together, the bread wasn't toasted well. My husband had the winter salad and the chili. When I think of winter root veggies come to mind, not strawberries. It would have been spot on if they actually used winter veggies. It appears to be run my a husband and wife and they remain friendly and welcoming. read more

I really like this cafe! Ordered the panini sandwich and a fruit bowl and it was awesome. Bacon was just how I liked it (really nice and crispy) and the ciabatta was really flavorful. Amazing. The food was great, the bloody station was stocked, customer service was phenomenal. I have some really odd food allergies and they took care of every detail.
