One TV over the bar delivered, but so did the delightfully engaging bartenders. Colby is the best. Great bar service made excellent suggestions from the menu (ask for the "secret " menu). We were traveling through Silverthorne and decided to stop at Cheba Hut while passing through. Overall, it was a good experience, but there were a few things that kept it from being a 5-star visit. We ordered the White Widow, Kali Mist, Garlic Cheese Bread, and the Bowl O' Balls for the little ones. The Kali Mist was easily our favorite great flavor and we'd absolutely order it again. The White Widow was good, just not as memorable. The garlic cheese bread was a solid side, and the Bowl O' Balls was perfect for the kids. The pricing was very reasonable. We spent around $54 for everything, and for the quality and portion sizes, it felt fair. We liked that they offer 4", 8", and 12" sandwiches, and the 8-inch subs were a great value. The drink selection was also nice, although the ice machine wasn't producing ice during our visit. The reason for 4 stars really comes down to the customer service. Noah was friendly and helped us choose between a couple of sandwiches when we asked for his opinion, which we appreciated. However, the experience lacked the hospitality and attention to detail that turns a good visit into a great one. After paying, there was no offer of a receipt I actually had to go back and ask for one. When our food was brought out to go, the bag was accidentally dropped into my arms and almost hit the ground. There wasn't any follow-up afterward no "Here's your order," "Enjoy your meal," or "Can I get you anything else?" We also didn't realize until we got back to the Hilton that there were no napkins or condiments included with our order, even though we tipped 18%. The restaurant has a fun, unique atmosphere, but the dining area could have been cleaner. The trash bins were overflowing, and while there was a steady flow of customers, it didn't seem overly busy or like they were in the middle of a rush. It felt like there was enough downtime to stay on top of basic housekeeping. Overall, the food was good, the prices were fair, and we'd stop by again if we're ever back in Silverthorne. I think the biggest opportunity for improvement is simply customer service and hospitality small things like offering a receipt, checking that the order is complete, including napkins and condiments, and ending the interaction with a friendly send-off would go a long way. Those little details are what turn a good meal into a great customer experience. read more

I can't say enough good things about the crew at Cheba Hut. A colleague and I rolled in right at closing time after a long business conference, and we were absolutely starving. We honestly figured we'd be turned away because the staff was already deep into cleaning and putting things up for the night, but we got the exact opposite reaction. Instead of rushing us out, they were incredibly warm and welcoming. They hooked us up with a couple of great toasted sandwiches and let us eat right there while they finished their work. It was actually really cool to just sit back and watch them- they're clearly a hardworking group, but also just fun, genuine people. The place has a great vibe, very laid-back with a ton of funny, tongue-in-cheek decor that kept us entertained. After a long day of meetings, we were just so grateful to get a hot meal and some hospitality. If you're in Dillon, definitely stop by. This team rocks, and the food is killer. This shop was our lunch stop on our way west of Denve on I-70. My wife found it and thought it could be a good place to have a quick lunch. She wasn't wrong. Located in a small mountain side town, this sub shop is popular local establishment. When we got here, it was pretty busy. I'm not sure how many were locals and how many others were tourists but either way it was busy. We took a while to decide what we wanted. The three of us ordered different sandwiches and got their smallest size which is a 4" sandwich. When ordering you can choose between their garlic bread or regular white bread. I can't remember the names of the sandwiches we got but all three were good. They hit the spot. Although, the 4" sandwich for me was not quite filling but along with some beer and chips, it worked for me. It's a counter service type establishment. You order at the counter and they will bring your order to your table. There's a bar that has beer on tap and in bottles/ cans. We liked this shop and had a nice experience. It is on the pricey side but not too bad. I'd go again. Check them out. read more

I just love Cheba Hut and I have never been to a bad location. This was my first time at this location as we stopped on our way up to Avon. I got the La Canna with the garlic herb bread, which is the best. It was cooked perfectly and made with love. We had a cool bartender. I cannot remember her name, but she mentioned she was fairly new. Enjoyed a Hash can while scarfing own my delicious sandwich. This place never skimps on quality, that is for sure. Great location off the highway and cool staff! Also i love the hanging plants at the bar with the names of previous employees and their fun quirks. Makes for a fun vibe. read more

We found this little sub stop on our way to Breck. Awesome vibe, atmosphere and crew! Awesome set up, tasty food, fireplace, and a bar! They really made it a place to come and stay. I saw a stack of baked game if you wanted to drink and chill by the fireplace. Food was good, only quarrel, we felt for $16 a little more meat. Only a slice or two on the two roast beef sandwiches we got. Au just was good and zero other complaints. Definitely adding this to our regular stop list. read more

This sub shop has such a fun vibe. They have a massive menu for a sandwich shop. I love that they have 3 bread options: white, wheat and garlic. I highly recommend the garlic! This place is definitely a place that would be easy to miss next to a few other restaurants, but it really is a great place to find a sandwich! This was an amazing experience. My wife and kids stopped by here on our way to Leadville. I went for a 5.0 sandwich, and it was so good! My wife was not comfortable with the attitude change within the kitchen when I ordered this. (Everybody hooted and hollered at my order, but I figured they were supporters of law enforcement, which my wife abhors.) She went with the "Samurai" instead. About a week after our visit, I tested positive for an sti, which, as a faithful man, I can only assume came from the line cooks ham sandwich. I'll start with this. I am a 23 year old active duty service member. After a long day on the slopes I wanted a beer and a sandwich so I come here and sit down at the bar and show my drivers license and get turned downed because it's a vertical Id. I can totally understand that, so I show my GOVERNMENT ID and still get turned down because it's still a vertical ID. ALL GOVERNMENT IDS ARE VERTICAL. So he refused me service. Which is a little disappointing being that places are required to accept a valid id which a government ID is.
