Ordered the $13 BLT "The Boss". It was far from The Boss. It had one piece of bacon in a large panini! So disappointing.

Stopped by for lunch while skiing, great atmosphere, delicious food! Perfect little spot!

When all 4 members of your family rave about their meal, you know you struck a restaurant goldmine! My 11 year old says the Nutella croissant was the "best croissant" he has ever had. My 13 year said his breakfast panini was "the best" egg panini he has ever had and my 20 ur old said the Jimmy Hendrix was "great!" I had the Janis Joplin...who would have thought strawberries and chipotle mayo would be an amazing combination! The prices are moderate, the atmosphere is AWESZOME and chill, and the employees are extremely social and polite! Best restaurant in River Run...handsdown!! read more

Below average at best. Must use dehydrated eggs because they can "only do scrambled" and even those came out dry and chalky. They serve "craft coffee", but then only offer creamer pods instead of real milk or cream for coffee. Decor needs a refresh in a big way. As another reviewer wrote, it appears these people gave up a long time ago. read more

This is the best place to grab food at Keystone. Its cheap ($6-10 compared to $12+ everywhere else), the food is great, and the service is awesome. New Moon is located off to the side of the main strip of restaurants/bars in keystone village. Because of this its usually not too busy..it also has an awesome laid back feel. Vintage records, guitars, etc on the wall...classic rock playing in the background. They have a large flat screen TV above the piano. They play all kinds of fun stuff on it like old school SNL. Just from that you can safely assume the staff is very cool. They are super nice and provide recommendations/help if you arent sure what you want. The menu is pretty badass so its hard to choose sometimes. The chorizo breakfast burrito (served all day) is probably my favorite. Make sure to get it smothered in green chile. The breakfast quesadilla is also very good, along with the many paninis they have! They have a daily happy hour from 2pm to close with half off beers/drinks. Great deal since beers are about $3 and they have alot of choices. New Moon is a comfy place too..they have a few couches inside to lounge on and some regular tables/chairs. Formally known as Jay's Cafe. As Keystone locals this a welcome neighbor to River Run (around the corner from Cristy Sports). Jay's always had great sandwiches. The new owner Barbara has created a fun, casual environment that makes you want to hang out and snack on awesome sandwiches and tip back a couple of Red Stripes. Who has Red Stripes at 11K feet???!! Live music on Friday evenings the Woodbird Bros rocked it out for 4 hours straight. Keystone has been missing a owner operator restaurant this is definitely NOT corporate managed. We have been in twice and she already knows are name. We came back for French Toast and Breakfast Burros full of good stuff. Can't wait for a full liquor licence for a bloody to go with it. They serve Beer and Wine currently, full bar on the way. Nice outdoor patio. read more

This is above average food & drink & atmosphere for a ski mountain of this size. It's a nice change from the bar atmosphere of many of the other restaurants in the village. It's kid friendly and cozy, it's a great place to grab a local brew and some frito pie.. read more

Maybe these guys are on their game during the ski season, but not during summer. Silly, because I'm sure they need the business and they certainly have time to get people's orders right. We were the only group in the place at lunchtime. Yet my John Lennon panini was made incorrectly (no condiments and no tomato, which made it dry, gummy, basically inedible) and my husband's tacos were served on raw, unheated tortillas. That's just disgusting. With two people working and only five customers, it's hard to understand the blatant inattention to doing things right. Maybe there *is* a dark side to Colorado's recreational marijuana laws. read more

How about cozying up on the couch after some exhausting time up in the mountains skiing? Yes please! So glad we stumbled upon this charming little cafe while at Keystone for a day on the slopes. It's so warm and inviting. They have sandwiches out the wazoo- huge selection to choose from and even some vegetarian options! And uber friendly service to boot. :) Oh, and did I mention the prices aren't as ridiculous as those inside the resort? Just go back down to the bottom and get yourself here please. Literally sitting at this cafe right now and eating a cold huevos rancheros - this is the worst dish I have had in a very long time. I can't even finish it - it's awful. Think about going somewhere else - perhaps to the crepe cafe across the walkway from this place if you're here before the lifts open. read more

Recently had lunch at New Moon while snowboarding at keystone. While the food was good, it was quite expensive and a very small location. The bathroom was very odd since it was located in the back of the restaurant through the kitchen. There were even lockers and skis in the bathroom which made it seem more like a storage area. New Moon primarily has paninis and sandwiches, but also has a few salads and soups. Happy hour drink specials are decent ($5 for spiked hot drinks and cheap beer) but the food was about $10 per person for a sandwich only, no side. If you are in the area the place is decent, but nothing to go out of your way for. read more

Came here when we were hungry after a morning of boarding. It was a pleasant surprise and although over-priced, the food was pretty good. I had a Nutella croissant (Awesome!), anything with Nutella is going to be great. I also ordered the blue chicken salad and it was pretty good and tasted fresh. The salad had the crisp crunch to it - yum! And the husband ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich (they serve breakfast all day!) and he said it was so good he wanted to go back again. Went here while skiing today with my girlfriend. My girlfriend got the Bob Marley and I got the Mick Jagger panini. I noticed a hair on the end of my panini. I removed the hair and continued eating. A few moments later I noticed another hair and sent the food back. The lady cooking was not apologetic, but made me another panini. Moments later I saw ANOTHER HAIR in my SECOND panini!! I even got a new plate and silverware!! I sent that back as well. They said they would make me another but I told them not to bother. I would not eat food here unless they decide to start wearing hair nets while cooking. read more

Recently stayed in Keystone, Co for the first time this past February. During our two day stay we ate at the New Moon Cafe twice. (Pretty sure we both would've gladly eaten here all three meals both days if that says anything.) Wonderfully expansive menu. Simple yet delicious. Great gluten-free selection. The staff was incredibly friendly both times - even when we walked in 20 minutes before closing time one night not realizing it. The decor was relaxed, super comfortable seating, and my boyfriend was beyond thrilled to find Ninja Turtles being played on their tv;) - Oh the simple joys in life! Overall we both loved New Moon Cafe. If we get back to Keystone, we'll head straight for it. read more

A great little cafe near the ski slopes in Keystone Village (CO). We needed a quick snack for an energy boost and a Belgian Waffle complete with Whipped Topping was just the right answer. It was quick, hot and quite tasty!... The rest of my party enjoyed waffles also! If you not a waffle lover the New Moon Cafe also offers many other tasty foods and drinks! We wanted to return the next day but the airport was calling ! We'll be back to this cafe when we return next year.. The prices, food and service were excellent. I can't say enough great things about this spot! We had lunch here everyday skiing for a week in keystone. The food is amazing, the music is great, and there are plenty of fire pits to sit around (all outdoor seating so covid friendly). Highly recommend the spicy Bloody Mary :) read more

I am so happy to have New Moon Cafe in the neighborhood! A slightly funky, for Keystone, spot for sandwiches, breakfast. Not the normal Keystone Corporate place at all. Fair prices, had beer/wine specials at the time for 4.00. Those are pretty good prices for a ski area. Had a very good breakfast sammy one day. Been a couple of times just for hanging out on the deck. They often have live music. Music beyond the normal Jimmy Buffet wannabes. The owners is cool and lets my dogs hang out too! Big plus to me. They have a free foosball table that kept our friends kids occupied. Gave the adults time for another glass without any whining at all. Another big plus. An edit, they now have a full liquor license, yeah for a bloody mary bar! New Moon often stays open later than the posted hours, if people are having a good time they will stay open. read more

The Bob Marley was a quite tastey panini. The frito pie was the best (and only) I've ever had. The Marolyn Monroe was also exceptional. The ambiance & music were awesome. This place is not characteristic of the River Run touristy vibe and does not price jockey the way some of the other places do. read more

The croissant French toast was amazing! Oh my gosh, what have I missed all my life?!! My daughter (5) has the Belgian waffle and it was very light and fluffy, not hard to cut at all. She ate a 75% of it was the 1st time she's had a Belgian waffle. My husband and I had the breakfast bowl with red bean and meat chili (instead of the green chili). It was okay, wish it had more egg or had an option to add bacon. Which we didn't find out til afterwards. Limited breakfast menu, the sweet stuff is the best in my opinion. Serves breakfast all day, which is a plus. Small seating area and my enough for 1 big group. read more

I love coming to New Moon the lady, her name is Barb, the owner is always very happy and nice! I always chat with her when I come through and she makes the cafe have a more local feel then the others. The Breakfast burritos are the best in keystone hands down! And the prices are more fair then Ink Spot or The Spoon. I always stop in before riding Keystone and New Moon Cafe is one of the great hidden spots left in Keystone! read more

All the signs say open at 7:30 am, with 15 people waiting outside no one would come out and tell us that they don't open till 8:00. After the wait outside in 15 degree temperatures the food was cold with brown nasty potatoes. read more

Worst meal I ever paid for. I got the Juevos De La Luna. It was a very small portion. The eggs felt and tasted like they burned them last night, put them in the fridge, and microwaved them for me about 10min before I was served so they were nice and room temperature. I bit into a penny sized piece of paper in my eggs, and my friend got some Teflon in her waffle. The Belgian waffle was tough and bland. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

This place is off the main drag through the village in Keystone, and therefore a lot less crowded even at weekend happy hour time! We accidentally stumbled across it on our walk to the parking lot. During HH, they offer all beers for $3 and have a great bottled local/craft selection in addition to wine, cocktails and of course coffee/espresso drinks. We shared a pretzel and nachos which were also pretty good. Though small, they have plenty of comfy seating, board games and in general, a super relaxed feel. The people behind the bar were so friendly, they definitely made our visit. I'll be back to try their huge bloody mary bar! read more

This is the best Bloody Mary spot in Keystone. They have a build your own bloody bar, with peppers, pickles, horseradish, and a variety of hot sauces. Priced at only $6 or $7, it's a great deal for Keystone. I love the atmosphere there too. Very homey, with comfy couches and seating. I can't wait to return to try some of their food, which my friends say is really good! read more

My aunt and I went to this cafe to grab some coffee and breakfast one weekend and overall the location was great as it was close to where we stayed. The service wasn't too bad but the reason for such a low score is that one of the chef's making the food wore gloves, which is great, but then we noticed that they were doing all sorts of other tasks - cleaning, scratching their hair and ears, etc. and not switching out their gloves. I understand that sometimes you forget but it definitely did not make me want to return. I hope this helps. read more

New Moon is awesome! Super close to the base of the mountain which makes it a perfect place to grab a mid-day bite. They have a build your own bloody mary bar, very tasty!
