Reading some of them was honestly shocking to me because I didn't experience any negative vibes, bad service, or poor food quality at all. I ordered the family special, which comes with a large pie, six buffalo wings, six garlic knots, and a two-liter soda for $36.99. Everything was fresh and tasted great. I keep forgetting to take pictures of the pizza, but I'll definitely try to remember next time because the food deserves it. The service has always been pleasant. The girl behind the counter was very nice, and the guys making the pizza always greet me when I walk in and again when I leave. It gets pretty busy in there, so I really don't understand some of the complaints I've read. The restaurant itself is clean, too. I didn't notice any issues with the seating, floors, counters, or overall ambiance. This is a place I've been to more than once, and I still plan on going back to try other menu items. Maybe ownership changed at some point, or maybe people just had different experiences, but based on my visits, it's definitely not what I expected after reading the reviews beforehand. I wish everyone the best who decides to give it a try.

The restaurant is literally five minutes from my house, yet it took over an hour and 30 minutes for delivery. After waiting that long with no food, I called to cancel the order before it arrived. Instead of being understanding or apologetic about the delay, the manager called me back and told me not to order from them anymore and accused me of "playing with their food." That was extremely unprofessional, unnecessary and disrespectful which is a huge complaint about this store.. staff are DISRESPECTFUL!!! If there was a delay, that's fine -- just communicate it. But waiting an hour and a half for a simple order and then being spoken to disrespectfully is not acceptable customer service. Very disappointing experience.

A late visit after they have been open for a couple years turned out to be ideal. No long lines and quick service, exceptional customer service and I was given a heartfelt thanks for pulling up. When Cuts & Slices opened, the lines were around the corner, for days! I wasn't willing to partake in a lengthy wait and a extended standing period on anyone's line. I appreciate Cuts & Slices for developing a new pizza (za) taste. Something new to the world of ZA, differentiality! I tried the oxtail Za and the sweet chilli shrimp. I must say, these zas were really different and really tasty. If I had not changed my eating habits, I'd consume cuts & slices every week but I must regulate my intake on carbs. I appreciate the designs on the wall and I learned how the skateboards were influenced in the decorations in their shops. I appreciate how I was asked if this was my first visit. I was honored to say yes! And honored to.... Inspire more, Yelp more!

Today I tried the Sweet Chili Oxtail pizza and the Shrimp Black Truffle Alfredo pizza, and both were really good. The flavors were unique but worked so well together, and the slices were loaded with toppings. Surprisingly, it wasn't packed today, which made the visit even better since I could get my food quickly without the usual crowd. Overall, another great experience, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Queens.

Highly recommend Via Cuma in Valley Stream. Our waiter, Ivan, took the time to explain how many of…read moretheir ingredients, including the flour, tomato sauce, and ricotta are imported directly from Naples, Italy, with the ricotta coming from Sicily. The entire experience made me feel like I was back in Italy. The sourdough pizza was outstanding, and unlike most pizza I get elsewhere, I didn't feel heavy or sluggish afterward. You can truly taste the quality and authenticity of the ingredients. We'll definitely be back. The Pizza Polpettina was out of this world!

I'm driving back from Maryland and I planned to stop at Via Cuma for lunch…read more I understand Via Cuma is a not by the slice pizza shop, it's more authentic with a personal size pizza. I parked across the street (make sure you feed the parking meter) and walked inside. I'm assuming it was the owner, I said I'm so hungry and was asked to grab any open table. The restaurant is cozy with multiple tables which can be adjusted to fit a large or small party. The owner comes over with an iPad, I just want a glass of wine with lunch. No bueno, I don't think they have a liquor license. I ordered a coke instead. This word is tripping me up, I know it's devilish, Diavola? I make the sign of the cross as I order this pizza. The owner explains this is his favorite pizza, I can see why. The Diavola Pizza is made with San Marzano Tomato Sauce, Hot Soppressata Salame from Calabria and topped with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese along with a drizzle of Olive Oil. This is a pizza that's more heavenly than devilish. There's some heat coming from various ingredients but it's welcomed. The sourdough is something that's interesting, I had this dough in Syosset last week. Is this a new trend? It brought the pizza to another level, there's more complexity with the imported ingredients. I also appreciated the cheese, I should have asked if it was made in-house. Via Cuma, great pizza the other day! Thanks for the Italian lesson on pronouncing Diavola
