#34 - Pork Brochette & Spring Rolls on Vermicelli ($8.99)
    Dragos B.

I had a pleasant quick lunch dining experience here. Aside from a table of elderly folk, the place was empty when I walked through the doors, but they had just opened minutes before. The smell of fresh pho broth is always welcoming. The service was attentive and speedy, as is the case with most Vietnamese restaurants. The decor is simple, but the place doesn't look shaggy or outdated. The booth seating is comfortable; the floors and tables are spotless. Although I'm always tempted to order pho at these establishments, I've been trying to diversify my palette for Vietnamese and Asian cuisine in general. I went with the #34, Pork Brochette & Spring Rolls on Vermicelli. The skewered meat was delicious and full of flavour, not overly salted, and had a perfect texture to compliment the crunch of the spring rolls, which were also nice and not greasy. Julienned veggies were fresh! The chili oil is always a must for me, so I dripped it all over my bowl. Although nothing game-changing, this is one of the few gems in this Langley neighbourhood. Skip the multitude of chains nearby and come here. The pho is next to try on my list!

Great Presentation... Even Better Broth and Seafood.

The best pho in the lower mail land. I drive from richmond to eat here much better then any where in richmond the number 22 with extra sea food is to live for the best

Delicous Beef and brisket Vietnamese Pho topped with bean sprouts, green onion, fresh basil and Jalapenos. A comforting richly seasoned beef broth ladled over rice noodles and thinly sliced beef. I love Adding hot siracha sauce and hoison sauce !

Hot & spicy prawn soup - delicious!

Air conditioned restaurant with big menu of items to choose from. Tasty food and prices are reasonable.

The food here is great! 4 stars for food. The service is garbage. Five woman chatting it up really loud in the back in a different language. It can kinda get annoying after an hour. I won't eat here again based on how terrible the service is. Why are you allowing the service to be so bad?!???? Change it! Be more attentive and kind and not so loud! Super affordable! Big portions

We parked on a side street nearby and snagged one of the few open tables - it was pretty busy the entire time we were there (on a Thursday ~2pm), with both small and larger groups coming in and out. Service was speedy and polite. FOOD // We got the grilled chicken pho and shrimp spring rolls. Both were yummy and satisfying after our hike - no complaints! Prices felt reasonable, considering the food quality and scarcity of other Vietnamese food options in the area. We'd definitely consider coming back here the next time we're in the area.

It was not tofu, but some sort of salty meat substitute that did not taste anything like tofu. The only other ingredients in the salad rolls are shredded iceberg lettuce and vermicelli noodles. For $13.50, I would expect the rolls to contain some sort of herbs (basil and/or cilantro) and be overall higher quality. The shrimp was also unseasoned and overall the rolls were flavorless. Maybe the other food here is better, but the spring rolls are not worth getting.

We ordered the…read morefresh spring rolls with chili sauce and peanut sauce sides, flank and meatball pho and a Vietnamese iced coffee . I found this " vegetable and tofu" roll the most bland I've had. No herb, sauce , crunch.... I am a fresh roll lover, so a little discerning, but this was truly flavorless. Tofu, rice noodles, leaf lettuce and rice paper. Thats it. Like eating a carrier for too little peanut sauce. The pho was filling and came with a plate of bean sprouts referred to as "the vegetables" . The Vietnamese coffee was tasty but presentation awkward. It came as Condensed milk in a cup with a pour- over atop this and the separate glass of ice. I'm no expert in this ritual but I am accustomed to having the milk cold in the ice and the brewed coffee in a spouted vessel for easy pouring into the iced milk. Here we had to mix the brewed coffee, then add it dribbling and spilling to the ice. No big deal but awkward. It tasted good. The prices were reasonable and parking a lot shared with the strip mall . Not within the restaurant's control , but in circling for a spot around one lane, I was nearly backed into by not 2 not 3 but 4 cars. I think I recall a cannabis shop being in the mall or nearby. This may explain that. The service was friendly throughout. The place was empty but the time was odd. I don't think we'd return based upon the fresh rolls alone.

I ordered #31, thought the broth was a bit bland but perhaps I've just been spoiled by Vancouver (BC) pho spots. It was quite busy the whole time we were there and it's clear they have a dedicated following. Generous with their bean sprout quantity. A random thing to note is their washroom doesn't have a bag/jacket hook so hopefully you have a friend that can hold onto your stuff while you use the gender neutral washroom, or better yet, plan your visit before you leave your table.

To kick off our experience we started with the fried pork sticky buns, and they did not last long. The crispy fried crust had a very unique texture, and contrasted wonderfully with the soft warm inside of sticky buns with BBQ pork filing. Next we dug into the Fried Combo, which included Egg Rolls, Potstickers and Crab Rangoon. The Egg Roll & Potstickers were unforgettable, but the Crab Rangoon was the real star of the show. Creamy crab filling wrapped in fried wonton paper, and some sweet chili sauce to dip in. Moving on to the entrees we shared the Beef & Shrimp Fried Noodle plate, and the Grilled Chicken Banh Mi. The fried noodles contained tender beef and succulent shrimp stir-fried with yellow noodles, Cabbage, Shredded Carrot, crisp bean sprouts, and garnished with fresh cilantro. The dish was very flavorful, with all the fresh veggies and spices tying together the noodles, shrimps and beef. Finally the banh mi. I will admit I have never tried a banh mi sandwich, but I am very glad this was my first one. All the vegetables on top provided an excellent crunch and the chicken was very tender with an amazing flavor. I also added picked jalapeño for an extra touch of heat. All in all this is a very great choice for anyone in the mood for some great Vietnamese cuisine. We will definitely be going into the restaurant next time to try something else!
