All I can say is stick to hemming slacks pants for $6. I took dresses to get altered..messy, crooked zipper and grease spots on my taffeta dress also lightly shiny effect got on my dress from the burn from the iron.. I expect alteration places to be experts in sewing n expert in fabric knowledge. Even I know u dnt iron directly on taffeta. You place a buffer fabric in between. Bonus: Not to mention I referred my friend to bring her dress to do similar alterations n was charged $50. My dress was $25. How did it double for her? Sadly I was not compensated for my concerns. I still had to pay full price and almost walked out dresses in hand with no plastic covering..I has to request a bag myself. I never write reviews as you check my profile..but this was one thing after another I couldnt leave comfortable nor satisfied. *Do Not Allow the guy with-out glass to do gowns, he is an amateur. I took my high-end suits other day to get the buttons replaced. The way they stitched the buttons look very sloppy and careless. They left creases due to bad sewing and also stitched the buttons through the lining instead of doing it properly. Very careless and not very communicative. I would NOT recommend taking your nice suits here. read more

I feel guilty leaving a bad review because I know that it has the power to impact someone's livelihood, but I hope this shop changes their unprofessional ways and fast. Long story short, I picked up my 8 items to come home and find that only 2 had any work done. When I came back to try to explain it to the owner, he called me cheap and a liar and was absolutely unwilling to hear me. I don't believe that it was on purpose, but if the guy running the show is so forgetful, they need to get someone more on top of their things. If you do chose to go here, make sure that you try everything on upon pick up. In addition to that, he changed his price upon pick up and tried to way overcharge me double what Phillip's Tailoring across the street charges. read more

Very cheaply priced but sloppy visible work. I had them reline a winter coat for 100 and they did a good job. Next I brought them 5 pieces to hem or take in. Two of the paneled skirts they ruined. Other three I have to undo their work and redo. They offered to fix their work but why would I trust them again? No way! Never going back. read more

Tiny little shop in the middle of downtown LA. Among all the tailor choices you have there, make sure you visit this place. I came on a Saturday morning with a new suit I had just bought from SuitFellas around the corner. The seamstress was extremely nice, professional, and extremely fast. She was able to hem 2 pairs of pants for me in just a few minutes. Only cost $6 for each pair of pants! Definitely will be returning next time I need something tailored. read more

I really love this tailor shop. I've been bringing items here for a few years now, even back when they were called Eddie's. They always do a great job at an affordable price. Giving them a 4 star instead of 5 because our most recent drop off wasn't ready when we came back 2 days later to pick it up. I usually get same-day service and have even had garments done in less than an hour, but this was pretty inconvenient since I'll have to make a trip back downtown to pick up. They did give me a few dollars off the already low prices, so that was nice! read more

So it started off good because I was at suit fellas buying a suit for my son. They recommended I get it tailored at new star tailor shop and said the cost would be $14 for taper and hem. A woman (claudia) from their shop walked over to show me where they are located. So I followed her back. My son got measured for the pants and jacket and the woman pinned it for tailoring. She gave me a receipt for the cost but it was $22 . I didn't question the difference in cost and was ready to pay it. After they were allegedly done, my son tried it back on, but the pants weren't tapered. So they took the pants back and began tailoring those and she took back my receipt. It was toward the end of closing and that woman disappeared, and with my receipt. There was one man left in the shop working on several jobs. He completed my son's pants and told me it was $35 for the suit tailoring. I told him that's not what I was quoted and where is my receipt. He said you wanted the pants tapered and so now it's more. I told him I wanted them tapered from the get go and I was given a receipt for $22. He was adamant that he wanted the $35 so I argued and said how is that good business that you don't tell me it's more money, you do the work and expect me to pay a price that was never quoted or discussed with me? The woman was gone who gave me the original price, and my receipt was taken. He found the receipt which showed the $22 with a hand written $12 added in red ink which now totaled $34 but yet he was charging $35. so not only was he charging a higher price without telling me but he decided to add an extra dollar just because. I refused to pay and said It's the principal of the thing. He said I would have to wait because he was going to remove the work he did. I thought that was absolutely ludicrous that he would actually prefer to work more to remove it and not even get the $22 in return. He took his sweet time working on other suits until I raised my voice to tell him I wasnt going to wait all night that I had to leave. He told me I'm busy you have to wait. So I said well I'm going to call the police because you won't give me the property that is mine. So during our disagreement another customer walked in so finally he decided to take the $22. I would NEVER recommend this establishment because obviously they are over charging customers and make you as the customer feel like you are in the wrong! Horrible Horrrible business practices. Great and speedy tailor shop. I went here because my usual shop was closed (on a sunday), but these guys did not disappoint. They got all my tailoring done within a couple of hours (tapering and hemming pants). The price was also very competitive and the shop was relatively nice in comparison to shops in the area.
