I lost a significant amount of weight about a year ago. Instead of donating my old, expensive clothes, I brought them here for tailoring. Wow! The clothes never fit me so well. I've brought them full suits, blazers, pants and shirts that essentially needed to be recut and they did fantastic work. And their prices are great. I have referred many friends and they all were very happy with the service. The location is a bit sketchy but it's in the garment district on the edge of skid row. I took a brand-new suit here to have the jacket sleeves shortened. When I got it back, one sleeve was about half an inch shorter than the other. When I pointed it out, they blamed the manufacturer, then suggested one of my arms was longer. Neither explanation addressed the poor alteration work. Had a great experience at this tailor! Brought in a pair of men's dress pants that needed the waist taken in and the length adjusted. Not only did they do a quality job, but they finished the alterations while we waited. The shop was busy (which is always a good sign), but they were still fast and efficient. Do not trust these guys! They ruined my husband's brand new AG jeans. They cut the bottom as if it was a ladies boot-cut/flamenco dancing pant! We went back an hour after pick up, and they completely denied us ever being there or them doing the job. They stared us straight in the eyes and lied to us. My go to tailor. They work very quickly and are personable, some Spanish may be required but they do wonderful work and quite quickly. Yes there is a matter of disorganization so perhaps if you have something very very expensive this isn't the best option for you, but if you want something budget friendly to help your clothes fit you properly and feel like a million bucks - I couldn't recommend it more! read more

Had 3 pairs of pants I ordered online and never wore due to sizing issues finally decided to get them tailored and found this shop across the street from where I live took them in for measurements in about 5 minutes for all the pairs and picked up in two days since I was told them they weren't high priority and they all came out perfect! When you come to pick up your clothes up you usually have to help them find it under mounds of other people's clothes because they are extremely unorganized. They give you a time and date to pick up your clothes and when you show up your clothes are not ready. This is especially inconvenient because the location has no parking and is in an unsafe area with a considerable number of unpredictable people in questionable mind states. read more

These guys are super nice and do amazing work. I've had neck lines altered, pants hemmed, shirts taken in and everything was done very well for extremely reasonable prices. Some of the items I've had work done on were very expensive by Paul Smith and Varvatos. And the one time I had an issue with the thread color they chose for a hem on some jeans they redid it for free. Highly recommended! read more

We've been here several times. The first time, this tailor was recommended by the place we bought my son's suit. Did a great job with alterations, quick and a good price. He looks sharp! Came back to have a coat altered for my mother, another fabulous job. This last weekend, went to have a dress altered - it was done in an hour for under $25!! Very unprofessional! Segundo the master tailor and owner is far from a master tailor. Dropped off several garments the work was bad/substandard. Decided to give him another try, left pants to be picked up on a Sunday, arrived on Sunday and was told to come back Tuesday, came Tuesday and was told maybe Friday, because of the influx of new customers. To add insult, I was told the price doesn't change for the inconvenience. Never again! read more

This place is a hidden gem. The workers here are knowledgeable, honest, and up front. If you ask them to do something they know will look weird, they'll tell you straight up without wasting your time or money. They're fast, work with your schedule, and good at what they do. And price-wise, they blow everyone else out of the water. What more do you need from a tailor? Good work, good ethics, good prices. I was going to a tailor in Venice that charged me what I thought were good prices, until I came here and they charged 1/3 of his price. I brought in 2 pants, a dress, and a coat to alter and I was charged less than $50. And it was done within a couple of days. Hell, yeah. I am extremely disappointed with the work and service I have received. The place doesn't look very inviting either, but I was out of time and my daughter needed some of her clothes fixed. We brought 4 dresses, two shorts and one skirt to be cut. I told the tailor how much I wanted cut off each dress and each skirt. He marked each dress and skirt unclearly with a small piece of chalk. It seemed like he was much more interested in the work that had to be done for the two other customers in the shop than our clothing. When I arrived the next day to pick up all my clothing, I was surprised to find that all my clothing is ruined. The dresses and skirts are way too short for my 14 year old daughter to even wear now, so I have basically wasted my money at this tailor, along with the money I paid for the dresses (WHICH WERE NOT CHEAP). When I called the tailor to ask what had been done to the clothing, they blamed it on my daughter and told us that she was the one who wanted it that length, although I was standing RIGHT THERE when they measured her. I'm glad that at least the shorts were okay. Will definitely not be returning any time soon. read more
