That has progressed to using them for alterations (done by a family member of the owner), and ask laundry recently when my building's laundry was temporarily shuttered. They really do a great job with alterations in particular, although it's best to go in the AM when the seamstress is there. Owners are very friendly and never had a serious problem with any of their work. To me, that's exactly what you want in a cleaner.

Upon pickup, I removed the plastic to discover not one, not two, but five large snags and pulls in the front of the gown, unraveling much of the knitting and floral print. The dress is destroyed. Not to mention the belt had a new stain as well with no explanation. My husband brought the garment back over to the shop and the owner shrugged his shoulders and was kinda like "oh, looks like they caught it. Oh well." They did not offer a refund, a reimbursement for the gown, not even an apology. Nothing. No remorse. As it turns out they send every garment to be dry cleaned at another factory in Queens with no oversight or quality control, and not much of a care for what happens to their customers' belongings. If you need something cleaned and pressed that you don't care about, by all means hand it over to Dynasty. But if you need someone to care for an investment piece, garment, or heirloom you care about -- stay far away. I will never bring another item of clothing to Dynasty Cleaners ever again.

I was a little bit disappointed to find that my shirts were somewhat wrinkled and my tie wasn't completely cleaned (there was still stain when I got it). I wasn't asking for much. All I wanted was to have cleaned, unwrinkled articles of clothing. I didn't completely get what I wanted. The customer service was fine.

I brought in a jumpsuit for minor underarm repairs (about 1 inch on each side) and basic cleaning. I was quoted $32 for the repairs and $25 for cleaning--a total of $57 for a single garment. They also wanted to charge $20 just to remove some lint from a coat on top of the cleaning. I did not leave the coat as the quote for cleaning and lint removal was more than the coat is now worth. It's clear these people will charge as much as they can. Unfortunately, there are few cleaners in Harlem, but at this rate, I'd rather travel across state lines to New Jersey. Ridiculous! I did not leave the coat for service, as I could not justify paying these fees. But I did pay $57 for the jumpsuit because I had to have it repaired ASAP. If you're looking for fair pricing for basic repairs or cleaning, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

There was a new person at the desk. When I asked for my shirts to be laundered (as they always were), he pointed to one and said that it had to be dry cleaned. He then tells me that it would be Monday before I can get them back. He then hands me a ticket for 3x the price I normally pay while mumbling something about the price being too cheap. Seems like this place is having issues (perhaps financial) and this person was there to overcharge loyal customers to make up for the gap. To be clear, here are my issues: 1. An attempt was made to overcharge me. 2. I was asked to pay upfront for the over charge, which indicates distrust And potential racism. 3. This individual did not care that I was a regular and that I was able to quote the prices that I normally pay. We really have to stop letting business come into neighborhoods and taking advantage of residents. I will never be back and caution everyone else to triple check your bill.
