After having the birria quesadillas we knew we had to come back for more my roommate and i are moving apartments so we had to try some restaurants for the last time we split the al pastor nachos and birria quesadillas. the quesadillas quite literally melt in your mouth with how savory and juicy the meat is cooked and the deliciousness of it all put together. since this is a food truck they were super quick to make the order - and the servers were also very kind. 10/10 would recommend and come back

Full of the drippings from the meat, onion and cilantro. What you don't finish by filling your tacos in, is so deliciously drinkable. On a chilly day, I would absolutely walk by and order a cup just to drink. It's so good. It's location on the block can vary, but it will be between 52nd and 53rd Streets on the east side of 6the Ave. At $4 a taco, it's worth stopping by even for one. Super quick service as well as a small standing bar to eat quickly.

I ordered delivery for 3 tacos (classic, shrimp, and pork). The shrimp taco was probably the best as it tasted very fresh. The other 2 however were quite unflavorful and didn't really do it for me. I've had other birrias before but this place didn't quite stack up. Unfortunately, I would say the food doesn't travel too well since the bottom of the bag was dripping in grease. You're much better off enjoying it right after ordering.

Honestly the best birria tacos I've ever had and the best meal I've had in NYC this entire trip! Tacos are $4 each and the consommé is also $4. These tacos taste like the tenderest brisket. Not too salty, not too cheesy - the meaty flavor shines through. While this company apparently has multiple trucks, I ate at the truck that is located at W. 52 & 6th Ave every day from 4-11PM. If you're in midtown, check out the birria tacos and don't toss the consommé, it's a delicious soup on its own!

Pretty close to times square/Rockefeller plaza as well as other street food carts including halal guys. Price was a bit steep though, $16 for 2 tacos and a bowl of consomme. The tacos were small street sized double corn tortilla, topped with birria pulled beef, salsa, raw onions and cilantro. The meat was tender and flavorful, lime helped add some acidity. Dunking into the consomme was a bit finnicky, I preferred enjoying them separately. The soup wasn't too salty which I was worried about, and had a good depth of flavor. In the future I might just get the consomme by itself on a cold winter day.

I've been back twice in two days lol. The Birria is awesome and the drinks are cheap. I've also had their burrito and the rice and beans could've been better in that so I'd recommend sticking to the tacos. Haven't had anything but Birria and I don't want to branch out and dislike anything when it's a delicious and consistent meat by itself. I don't pay for the extra juice, it's real good as is.

Great tacos for around $5-6 each(delivery prices)! The Birria Taco was very tasty, however I thought mine was a bit under-filled compared to the chicken taco I got. The chicken was a bit dry, but the hot sauces on top helped a bit. Would love to try more of their tacos with the consome! read more

I ordered delivery for 3 tacos (classic, shrimp, and pork). The shrimp taco was probably the best as it tasted very fresh. The other 2 however were quite unflavorful and didn't really do it for me. This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture. read more

Fast, convenient, and delicious! A bit pricier than what you'd get elsewhere, but the convenience can't be beat. Birria tacos with and without cheese are great, as well as the mulitas and burritos. Portions are decent but not huge. It's in an area with tons of other food trucks so good to go with people who want to eat different things! read more

Birria Tacos really need to be more of a thing. Having hot consume with your tacos, either as a dip or just to drink and warm your soul feels like a no brainer, why aren't more taco places doing it??? I spent 4 days in NYC and this was dinner 2 of the 4 nights. These are the best tacos I've ever had! The shells were crisped up on the flat top nicely, the meat melts in your mouth, and the portions are excellent. You have to get some consome to dip in to get the full experience. They guys on the truck both nights were super friendly as well! This will 100% be a go to next time I'm back in the city! read more

Stumbled here after having a Halal guys sandwich across the street. Ordered 4 tacos, consume and Jarritos lime soda. Did not disappoint. Birria tacos were tender and juicy, flavorful with each bite. Especially after dipping the tacos into the consume. The tacos were good portions, and comes pre-loaded with the 2 different salsas. 2nd time trying and didn't disappoint either time. read more

I LOVE Los Tacos No. 1. The owners are from Tijuana & went back to learn the recipes. I haven't…read morefound tortillas or meat as fresh & tasty as this, even in NYC's outer boroughs (mostly Puebla-style I'm told). This location is convenient to Grand Central, Bryant Park, & Times Square. I was excited to find them after a getting off the Metro North. Unfortunately, the two times that I've eaten there hasn't been great, compared to their other locations in NoHo & Union Square. I'm not sure if the more touristy ambiance & customers makes a difference. First visit got the Pork Adobada Taco ($5-ish). It's similar to Al Pastor (even served with a few pieces of pineapple) but spicy. It's pork marinated in an adobo sauce made from dried red chiles (like guajillo or ancho), vinegar, garlic, and spices. The corn tortilla was very fresh & good but the pork was SO spicy. Some kind of chili oil was drizzled on, in, within, at the bottom. It comes with a sort of green crema. I barely finished - thought it was a joke or something. The second visit I got the Adobada (requested Zero spice) & a Chicken taco. The pork meat was delicious & reminded me of the first time I had Los Tacos No. 1. The chicken seemed like dark meat & was either over-marinated, slightly undercooked, or on its way out? resulting in weird mushy, slightly liver-like consistency. I even picked through the pieces to check for pinkness...the meat was just dark with little flavor. It came with a dollop of guacamole that didn't have much flavor. The corn tortillas also seemed slightly mealy/mushy & underdone. They weren't airy & slightly puffed as usual. I'll probably go back because their location and cost is convenient. But have to make sure the pork has No Spice & not sure how to ask for "done" tortillas. There's always a line at Los Tacos but it moves fast. The condiments & radishes, limes are always fresh. The staff is always pleasant & work quickly customizing your taco, wiping down the All White! hightops & refilling napkins. Don't think there's a restroom FYI.
